The food appeared to be fresh, but were the basic offerings from a typical Asian buffet. There were crab legs but they did not look very appetizing. However, the frog legs and the chicken wings were fresh out of the deep fryer when I was there, and were probably the best items on the buffet. Staff regularly tended to the buffet to ensure that it stayed fresh and my server made sure my drink was always filled. There is a freezer in the front filled with little single-serving cups of ice cream that reminded me of the school cafeteria when I was in grade school. The buffet is a bit on the pricey side compared to others of the same caliber. However, the service is excellent which it why I gave it 4 stars instead of three. The King Buffet is a little bit out of the way for me, but I would consider going back the next time I am in Jennings.

I decided to give them a try under the new name. It was no different. The positives is that everyone is pretty friendly and the place is clean and orderly. The best item was the fresh spring rolls but I was disappointed that they don't have that good peanut butter sauce to go with them. The meats (chicken & beef) are the typical Chinese buffet style meats instead of pieces of chicken that look like chicken. The cucumber soup and the coconut soup are both savory (just fyi). The mango sticky rice with coconut sauce dessert-not a fan at all and coconut and mango are two of my favorite flavors. Overall, it was a decent experience; no regrets for giving it a try.
