We really enjoy the food and flavors of PF Chang. However, the portion sizes continue to shrink. For example, on the menu egg rolls show (4), but arrive as two egg rolls sliced diagonally. We also ordered two "individual" deserts to go and each is embarrassingly small. These deserts were so tiny, when I got them out at home I thought they forgot to put the desert in the container and that the actual desert was the dollop of whipped topping. I am so upset! I spent $55 hard earned money for food that went into the garbage! This used to be so good 20 plus years ago! Chicken wraps came with 4 piece of lettuce which were browned edges! The Kung Pao chicken over brown rice went into the garbage! The rice was barely cooked and gross hard, and the chicken was tough and no flavor! Mongolian beef was horrid with chewy pieces of meet and an over abundance of green onion to mask it! I just cannot believe that whoever cooked this would actually send this out! Wth? She wanted to try this place for date night, the ambiance and decor were interesting definitely attempting an Asian vibe. They have these huge doors to the entrance, where's there's 2 Golden horse statues when you walk in. Everything has a red and gold look and the employees are wearing all black. I asked our server if she knew what the kanji or chinese characters that were written on decorations meant, she wasn't sure and said she would ask. They had a 5 course special dinner we tried for $89 for 2 people. The first course was a chef special or choice but ended up being 4 pieces of sushi which weren't really good. Also got their hot & sour soup and egg drop soup. Both were disappointing or lacking in flavor, our server even asked if we wanted salt and pepper with it but still both tasted subpar. We also got some bbq pork ribs, which were decent, soft and tender. The bbq glaze was ok more like teriyaki sauce with sesame seeds on top. The Miso glazed salmon with vegetables was more appetizing to me and the lo mein noodles with shrimp as suggested by our server Amber. For dessert we had these deep fried banana rolls served with ice cream and some fruit. The experience was mediocre, when they brought out our 3rd and 4th courses they kept stacking the plates on top of each other instead of clearing our empty ones, maybe they were busy? We've never seen that before. We tried a jade margarita and an old fashioned. They were ok, decent flavor. Overall, too expensive for the food and subpar service. I came here with a friend recently and we were greeted quickly. Our waitress, Lauren was attentive and friendly during our time there. I ordered their dinner special (Chang's spicy chicken) on white rice with hot and sour soup. Our food came out quickly which surprised us. Chang's spicy chicken was yummy, however mild in terms of spice level. The hot and sour soup (cup) with the complimentary wonton crisps was flavorful and refreshing. My only critiques are how sticky the floors in the bathroom are and how loud the bathroom doors get when you close them. The prices are affordable and the service was good. Sat for 5 minutes at 8pm on Sunday before leaving. They were dead, maybe 4 tables occupied. We hd 2 different servers walk by us and not acknowledge us or get a drink order. They worried about wiping down a table and other came by us to collect check of near by table but couldnt be bothered to at least acknowledge us. My husband and I went for dinner last night. They weren't busy, there were tables available. Instead we are put at this tiny table at the end of booth so one of us sat with our back to the restaurant. We ordered lettuce wraps and I ordered Chicken/Broccoli. The lettuce wraps were awful. No taste really and very bland. Then my dish came. Very disappointing. I've had it before at the restaurant in Grapevine and this was nothing like that. It usually comes with a thicker sauce and the chicken is coated in that. This sauce was watery and at the bottom of the bowl. We had one of the best experiences at a PF Changs in Houston with my robotics team so they were so excited to go here when we made it to state and it was near this PF Changs. This experience was not as good. The food was not as delicious and our service was so much less the other experience. We left disappointed. Food was cold and drinks were a struggle to get refilled. All is not well at P F Changs. My experience was at this one location in Alliance Town Center of Fort Worth. However, P F Changs is a highly centralized highly standardized operation. I strongly suspect that what I saw would be replicated in any other P F Changs you could decide to visit. * * * You used to have to wait forever to get into P F Changs on a weekend. If there was only a thirty minute wait, you were lucky. I visited on a Friday night at 7 pm. Friday night at 7 pm is as prime time as prime time ever gets. No line. Very few customers. I waltzed right into P F Changs and got seated immediately. Two thirds of the tables were empty. In contrast, the parking lot at Alliance Town Center was absolutely jammed. Hundreds of people were eating dinner at my corner of the Alliance Town Center. All of those patrons were going to other restaurants. * * * I ordered an appetizer and a main dish off the standard menu - on the Chinese side. Both Chinese dishes were meh. I could have done as well or better going to a Fort Worth neighborhood Chinese-American takeout place. P F Chang's version of American Chinese standards USED TO BE legendary. They were the best versions of American Chinese dishes you could possibly get. What was on my plate was dead stuff - utility functional. The absence of customers was a rational response to food that was not worth a trip across town and a premium price. * * * Normally, when this kind of thing happens, I would write off the Amador location as simply a weak implementation of the chain. I would make a snide remark that Corporate Headquarters needs to look into this one location. Except that this is P F Changs. P F Changs is an extremely centralized organization - the way that McDonald's or Ruth Chris's Steak House is. There is one set of recipes and one form of decor and one way of doing everything. Every local establishment is expected to stick to the official plan and to do so to the eighth significant digit. If you are inside a P F Changs, you would have no idea where in the U.S. you were because every single P F Changs in America is supposed to be the same. * * * My suspicion is that the villain here is TriArtisan Capital Advisers. This is the financial holding company that bought out P F Changs in 2019. The original P F Changs was created by Paul Fleming and Philip Chiang. When they created a corporation for the chain, it was called the Centerbridge Partners. Centerbridge Partners was owned and controlled by food people. The food people were responsible for the wonderful P F Changs that we remember. TriArtisan Capital Advisors is a bunch of finance guys. They own a wide variety of assets many of which are not food companies. These include Energy Solutions, the Dover Saddlery, Fuel Systems and the Mears Transportation Group. The other food organizations that are included in their holdings have not done well. Examples of such used-to-be-good companies would be Sara Lee and TGI Fridays. My guess is that P F Changs is being run as a cash cow. Quality, good food and customer happiness get lip service. Quality cuisine has essentially been shoved into the back seat. The result is the decay of what was a fine institution. The money boys at TriArtisan Advisers get richer and richer. * * * Frankly, the money boys at TriArtisan Advisers have every right to maximize their profits. Business is business. We live in a country with a free market. That said - Finance people like TriArtisan Advisers are also buying many other businesses. These include the hospital you go to and the medical clinic where you see your doctor. Losing a good restaurant is sad but not a tragedy. Getting shabby medical care is a matter of life and death. P F Changs is a crystal ball for what is happening all over America. The signs are not good. read more

Our servers name was Hayden( he was also the bartender) He was absolutely brilliant in service and hospitality, he was extremely attentive to all of his tables. I saved the best for last (THE FOOD) we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps (definitely a 10/10) and the pork dumplings (also a 10/10) and of course the steamed edamame (10/10) and then we ordered one each of the individual desserts ( key lime pie/ red velvet cake and peanut butter mouse pie) definitely a 20/10 lol I also loved that the manger kept checking on all the tables to insure that all is well on his watch!! Celebrating our 44th anniversary we decided to try PF Changs. The 3 meals we ordered were just awful! The orange chicken had an disgusting odd flavor. Not good at all! For 2 of the meals we opted for the Lo mein noodles instead of the rice. Bad choice! They were dry and nasty. The sushi was absolutely inedible. There was something with the texture of rice that made it inedible. The kung pao chicken was just eh. For my appetizer I had the Pork Belly Bao was near impossible to chew . Rubber texture! The only edible thing was the crispy eggplant appetizer. The manager took off only the sushi meal even though she noted my orange chicken was also nasty. She just bagged it to go. Maybe if I make my own orange sauce that may be edible, of course minus the lo mein noodles. Most likely I will just trash this meal. $87 in the toilet! It's been about 5 years since I've visited P.F. Chang's. It's was a Friday evening we were greeted with a smile and seated right away in a comfy cozy booth. Our server Lexi was outstanding very attentive and polite. Okay now the bad news, the pictures of the food look amazing but the flavor was missing. The fried rice tasted like left overs with no seasoning. The chicken dry and tasteless. The Mongolian tofu and noddles bad. The tofu was cut up to baby portion pieces and the noodles seemed three days old and dry. We were disappointed . I went back to ask if this is the right portion and was told yes but then they took the whole plate back (along with my spring roll) and brought back the same plate with what look like the right portion of rice and meat. It's been 20 yrs since I ate at PF Changs. Let me start by saying the service was warm, full of smiles and we were seated quickly by the host. Our waitress was equally as sweet and warm. 5 star service! We ordered egg rolls and Fried Dumplings for appetizers. The Egg rolls were delicious! We really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the dumplings. They were served "soaking" in a soy sauce that was off putting. The dumplings were tasty but that " liquidity sauce"ruined it for me. We both ordered soup, hot and sour for me, Won Ton for my sis. Sent mine back. It too had that "odd" flavor. My sis loved hers. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp with extra veggies. The shrimp were super tiny and the dish overall was "ok" though I did enjoy the flavor and veggies. My sis had the Mongolian Beef and while she liked it she wished she had went with the spicy flank Steak. We opted for the fried rice and agreed it was "ok". Oh my where do I begin? Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I've made a lot of reviews and this review will be by far my most brutal First of all, I can remember when P.F. Chang's was of high-quality, impeccable service and delicious food. I haven't been to P.F. Chang's in probably a decade, so I was excited to eat there once again. Walking in, I noticed that the restaurant was empty at 6 PM. And then I noticed that the property looked rundown and worn out. The paint was peeling on the door. The carpet looked dirty and from there things just went downhill. Ordered a couple things off the chef's feast menu My hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. it was horrible. Sent it back and went with the egg drop soup which was equally bad. The crispy honey chicken was my entrée and it tasted like a frozen dinner you buy at the grocery store and heat up at your home. The others in my party had lo mein with beef and it was horrible. No flavor slightly warm just a bad bad presentation. Our server was nice but awkward and we were patient with him we ate very little and did not request to go boxes We all agreed that that was quite possibly one of the worst dining experiences. We've experienced in a very long time. From the service to the parents of the store to the poor quality of the food, it was just bad With that being said, I will not be returning to P.F. In the mood to try another Chinese place, going to our usual spot a little too often. We've all had PF Changs as carryout, particularly in the workplace. So going in was new. The decor is especially nice, that semi-hipster "fusion asian" feel that's so typical these days, but in better taste than most. The windows thankfully open the place up, so it's not TOO dark (interested to see if the sunlight will dull all this black paint extra soon, tho). Anyway, it's good taste. The wonton soup was particularly interesting and good. A bit atypical with (what I'd think of as non-traditional) extras, but it ended up more hearty than wonton usually is. We got the pork dumplings as a free promotional thing, and those were actually amazing, very very good. Didn't grab a pic of them, but they were arranged neatly and tasted so good. The service was also very nice, Abigail was sweet and took care of us. Altogether, the entrees/food was far above average, the ingredients and quality is very good. The portions are a bit more moderated than your typical Chinese spot, so you may not leave with a leftover as much as you're used to elsewhere. Factoring this all together, I'd say the "higher than most" pricepoint is fair, what I call "expensive but not over-priced". It means I'm happy to come back, just not too often. A "birthday place". I'm glad to have a place a bit more upscale than the average places for the choice and contrast. So long as the quality doesn't decrease or the price doesn't increase (within reason), I think it's fine (considering). Anyway, very nice! read more

This PF Chang's location has gone down hill. Prior visits have always been good. First the chairs were ripped and the cleanliness of the restaurant stood out. Ordered the Dinner Special. No mention on menu or by server that the entree is half portion (maybe the picture). We ordered the egg drop soup and usually the best soup, but the chef must have changed the ingredients, no broth or egg it was watered down. Even the side crisps were stale. The egg roll was burnt. Spring roll tasted like it was still frozen. The entrees were not "generous portions". The Mongolian beef was so greasy. Then the Chang's spicy chicken was ok but again missing ingredients like the green onion. Lettuce wrap also missing ingredients very bland. Overall terrible experience. We mentioned it to the server and she said it's the CEO change. Should have went to Pei Wei would have cost less and better quality food. read more

We also got the egg drop soup. My husband loves their pork eggrolls as well. I really appreciate that they have gluten-free options! Our waitress Kelly was super nice. The young man that was working as a host has trouble smiling and putting sound behind his words. Food was good, but when we received the check, the kids meal that was listed on the menu with a description of, "12 and under meal with drink" and item that we chose of, "lo mien with chicken - $6.79" came back as a kids meal of $6.79 and an additional $3 charge for chicken and $1.50 for the drink. So, what was $6.79 ended up being $11.29. Our server said she was new when we brought it up and spoke to her manager. The response from the manager was that their menu has recently changed and the $6.79 used to be for only lo mien. Not sure if they need new menus or a better manager, but it put a bad taste in our mouth to have hidden charges show up on the receipt with a very lousy and also nonsense explanation (because wouldn't that mean you just rung it up wrong and that it's actually included in the meal that's clearly listed for $6.79???) Everyone knows P. F Changs isn't necessarily "cheap", so we weren't upset about a pricey bill... but definitely a subpar experience. read more

So after waiting for a over an our for a table we got seated and I need to let you know that you need a mobile device because we were not given menus even after asking for one. So we let them know we are celebrating a birthdays this evening and our waitress proceeds to let us know that the kitchen is kinda slammed at the moment however she's working to get things as quick as possible. We order water to drink and appetizers, fried potstickers and lettuce wraps and she leaves to put that order in. We wait, ask to get our water glasses filled and and wait some more and then appetizers come to the table. However while we are looking at them we realize that one of them looks like egg rolls and not pot stickers. So we are waiting for our server to make her way around to ask and when she finally makes it over she says I think they delivered it to another table. Okay, but we still don't have what we ordered. So she says let me take care of that and we are like but can we go ahead and place our meals now? So we place our food order and begin eating the appetizers, they end up bringing the potstickers and in this moment I wish I hadn't ordered them because they were BLAND. It was like a pork meatball wrapped in a wonton that was greasy and unflavored. Our food comes to the table and not all the food makes it. We are told that it will be out shortly and it was more than just shortly in which I had to tell them to start eating so their food wouldn't get cold. When my food finally arrived I now felt bad because my food was hot and good whereas their food was "meh" at best. The desserts which should have been the indulgent ending to a meal, was picked over and not exciting at all. The chocolate cake was dry, the chocolate frosting was very rich, the apple crisp was like flatuas with apple pie filling that the grease seems like it's time to change. The manager was very kind and understanding and worked things for us, however I apparently missed that when you decide to get fried rice versus white rice it's a $4 up charge. We were so excited at first impression of this location. We have always loved PF Changs at various locations over the years, and this location, new to us, was beautiful. It was lunch time and maybe 2 other customers were there. Being a former restaurateur, it struck fear into my heart to see so few during what is commonly referred to as the "lunch run." What in the world? The menu looked really good, and the drink offers were reasonable. We ordered two of our favorites -- hot and sour soup and lettuce wraps. Both choices failed our expectations. The soup was not hot, nor did it have much flavor. The flavor of the chicken filling for the lettuce wraps was good, but the little rice crispy things were actually hard like noodles that had not been cooked. The service was acceptable, but a bit slow. So will we go back? Probably not. The food quality is a deal breaker. Actually, if we lived closer we might go back for the drink specials, but we won't make the extra effort due to the disappointing food. And somehow, it makes me sad to give this review. My bf upgraded to "fried rice", that was no fried rice it was boiled rice a roni, the honey fried chicken was a little dry, the lettuce wraps are consistently good! Went on this day for a work lunch, I'd never been before but have always been curious about the food. I'm glad I went, but not likely to go back. The location is in a good spot right off the highway and next to all of the other shopping and dining areas, it's a growing location. The building is nice, smaller than others I've seen. It still had the two huge horses to greet you before you enter. Inside is really clean and well kept. Staff was really nice and professional. Even the waiter was kind enough to box up the leftovers for us which is something you don't see much anymore. The food was really good, I can say that. I had the sesame chicken with fried rice, had some really good portions off the lunch menu. That was $13.95 for the bowl and regular rice, adding the fried rice added an extra $2.00. Again the food was good, not stellar, but good. The prices on the regular menu however, OUCH! Better bring a big account because they aren't cheap. $20 to $50 to eat asian fare is crazy, and it's not even authentic, it's chain food. My wife and I went to dinner tonight and I can honestly say the food was so bad I will likely never give PF Changs another chance. The service was rushing us. Ambiance is fine. The best part was the edamame and I would give that a 4/10. Egg rolls tasted of old oil. We had the beef and broccoli and the honey seared chicken. Both came out dry and tasteless.
