I wanted hot and sour soup and pork fried rice to dine in. They only have one size which is seriously enough to feed 4 people. No pork at all so got chicken fried rice which was super greasy and could not eat it. Food was served with out plates, just eat straight out of container. Soup was good but no noodles. What a dump(ling) We arrived and there were people at all tables except for one that had a pair of sunglasses sitting on it from the previous party. There wasn't a single piece of sanitation to be found and the bathrooms were closed. So far we have had a better experience in one of the shops we stopped by. We looked at the menu and ordered 3 lunch specials that clearly say soup, egg roll, fried rice. 10.95 a plate. I attached a picture of one of the dishes. Notice how the rice is not fried, it just isn't white. Notice the lack of soup (advertised as included). Notice of small the serving is. We didn't even get napkins and had to pay a dollar for a cup of water. It took over 20 minutes for them to prepare the food, in which time 3 parties left and several new people approached. No one came to sanitize any of the tables. We did not receive napkins. The plastic forks were so cheap they couldn't pierce the carrots. read more

Awful. The only Chinese restaurant that has no pork! We ordered 2 small containers of kung pao chicken and 1 chow mein 50$. With no side other than a very small container of dry white rice. They said the have no pork which makes me wonder why they only have chicken. Very salty. We hardly ate any of it. Not much veggies in it either. read more

We ordered takeout on a Monday evening in late October, which is off season. We ordered orange chicken w fried rice, shrimp lo mein, mixed vegetables w steamed rice, egg roll and crispy noodles. The egg roll was very crispy without being greasy. The mixed vegetables were cooked perfectly with just their natural juices. The shrimp lo mein was very tasty. The shrimp was a little undercooked for our taste. The noodles were not what we consider traditional lo mein noodles but were very tasty, perhaps even homemade. The orange chicken was very flavorful and well cooked. In summary, we very much enjoyed our meal, definitely way above par for the Chinese restaurants we have visited. With pandemic there is only a takeout one can eat at the table outside. Overall, the food is okay, with prices a bit higher and portion sizes a bit smaller than I am used to. You have to order at the window, but there is often no one there until you wait a minute or so. We were charged $1 for tap water in a styrofoam cup. The menu lists soup as included with the lunch special. No soup was provided and, when I asked, was told it was NOT included but could be ordered separately. I requested a discount, but was rudely informed this could not happen. My companions prevented me from making a scene. No restroom was available and no table, chairs or anything else was cleaned the entire time we were there. This business is cheap, lying, and in violation of sanitation/food service laws. Oil. It's all just oil. Somehow they've found a way to transform oil into food shapes, and then they've covered the formed oil with more oil. We can't even comment on the flavors because we were so disgusted by the greasiness of absolutely everything. On top of that, we ordered two orders of egg rolls but were only given one order. When we mentioned we were missing an order of egg rolls, the woman argued for no less than five full minutes. They ended up giving us a second order, but wouldn't let us pay for them, which was nice. Still, it shouldn't have been such an ordeal. We will never be returning, and we would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless we really didn't like them. read more

I'm not sure how this restaurant could've averaged only three stars. While it may be a little pricey, our food today was amazing! We had the sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken and crab rangoon. Everything was prepared perfectly and you could tell that it been cooked in fresh oil. As a bonus we happened to be here as the parade was going down the street! So lunch and entertainment! My girlfriend and I are locals and decided to order out some Chinese as we didn't feel like cooking. My girlfriend showed me the website and they have an online menu. After reviewing the menu the prices looked great. My girlfriend ordered over the phone and our order we totaled the prices and it was suppose be about 40 dollars. Yes we like our food, but we ordered a bunch of small things to try. My girlfriend goes and picks up the food and they said it was 66 dollars. My girlfriend tried talking to them and even showed their prices online and they refused and threatened to take our food away. And to top it off they messed up our order. WE used to make sure to stop here for the Walnut Shrimp. It was outstanding. However, this summer when we visited, we were the ONLY ones there and the shrimp dish was not on the lunch menu. Very good Chinese food! While wandering downtown Red Lodge, we saw that China Garden has a large patio out front with lots of seating. So we asked if we could dine outside with our dogs. The kind people behind the counter said yes, so we perused the menu and found some of our favorite things. We ordered crab Rangoon, egg drop soup, honey walnut shrimp, and beef lo mein. The service was excellent. We could tell they were a little wary of the dogs at first (since we have three good-sized companions), but the dogs were tired from hiking and just napped. Every item was timed perfectly to arrive when we completed the previous course. And everything was very tasty. We know good Chinese food, since we lived in L.A. quite a while. And we know bad, since we now live in Texas. And this was pretty high up on the good side of the scale. And the shrimp were awesome! read more
