Just moved to the area, and this place is literally a two minute walk away. I saw some reviews that said they were horrible and was a bit nervous to try them. NOT THE CASE. This place is AMAZING. The prices are reasonable, the food is terrific, service is quick and the staff is always pleasant. They have a few tables to sit at, but it's definitely a take-out place. I've been there 5 times in a week, and EVERYTHING has been perfect each time. read more

Their food is a cut above most. Their prices are fair, their portions generous. That's why I go there, for their food. Everyone slips up sometimes, and you never know what's going on with a person who you say was rude to you. I have had nothing but good experiences so far. And in any case, when I go to a restaurant, I go for their food, not their customer service skills. My father was Chinese, I know something about it. This is my favorite Chinese food in New London, I ordered my lunch, and got a a few spring rolls. Unfortunately I bit into an ice cold spring beef roll. I immediately call the restaurant, where can came to an agreement that I would come back and bring the item. Which I originally did not think was kosher bc I placed the big piece back into the bag it was given to me in. Anyways the manager thoroughly the inspected the two other spring rolls inside the bag and told me they were not cold. I told her to check the one I bite into to. Immediately she was offended and told me "whatever" dismissed me and took the customer behind me while I was waiting for either a new item or a refund to be decided . I ordered morE than I wanted to to meet the minimum. I have my reasons for wanting to use my card. They charge extra for everything. But it was my fault because i ignored the reviews. They make Black People pay upfront. When i inquired about this they took revenge and intentionally burnt my food. The service was very poor. She walked away talking shit. They burnt my boneless ribs on purpose. Go to Shanghai Garden on Broad street instead. This place gave my husband a completely different order and had the nerve to act like it was our fault. They called as we were pulling in the driveway to let us know of their error. They refused to pick up and deliver our correct order saying they were too busy. When I came back to deliver the food back and get our correct order, the woman behind the counter said "yea it's MY fault" in a very sarcastic tone. The absolute worst customer service (never offered to comp a dinner for making us come twice) and zero system for getting the correct order to the right customer. Recently, on July 25th, I visited this establishment. For the first time since I've lived in New London and I've been here 13 years, I fed most of my Chinese meal to my garbage disposal tonight. Usually I buy an app and an entree and get two meals from the purchase for around $18 +/-. Tonight I ate about a quarter of what I bought and the rest went to the garbage disposal. I hate wasting food. This killed me. I had never tried this place though it is the closest Chinese restaurant to where I live. I thought how nice it would be if it turned out well, and I'd not go across town any longer. The one positive point was the filling in the Crab Rangoon was surperb. However, too much dough was wrapped around them and they were tough. The sweet & sour pork was also tough. I gave them a chance, but one only gets to make a first impression once. First time order. Ordered seafood combination (given regular instead of straw mushrooms), 2 shrimp rolls, & fried golden shrimp. Asked for a small broccoli instead of rice, because I'm diabetic. Food arrived over an hour later, food barely warm and without small broccoli. Was charged $1.50 for delivery (no mention on menu or when ordering) for 1/2 mile distance. Absolutely do not recommend. Horrible I would give it a zero if i could. I never had a problem with them up until Christmas 2021. I ordered food and they said it would come in 30 minutes but instead they took an hour and a half so i called and canceled and they came to deliver anyways and then got mad when i remined them i canceled for the 100th time. Then about a month later i ordered again then they called me asking if i was the one who canceled then again to an hour and half to come and they stayed outside of my house and when i opened it for company they came out the car and tried to make me pay for it after canceling. Now today i gave them a chance ordered food for my kids to eat they again took 2 hours i ordered at 5 its now 7. I called asked them where they are they said they didn't get an order and hung up on my face. Horrible Never again. I wish I could pay to remove the positive ratings left by people who either dont mind eating the roadkill scraped off of the side of 95 or have never had a decent meal. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. They are pushy when taking an order in person and refuse to accept credit card payment by phone for pick-up orders. They are also deceptive in their pricing when taking a credit card payment in person (ie. they charged me more than they stated the actual order total was). The food is pretty good but definitely NOT worth all the hassle. read more

Have been looking for good Chinese for a while and found it here. Tried a few places in E Lyme but I wasn't pleased. Fanned out a bit and took a chance on this place. I give it a 4, hubby 3.5, teen son 4.5 stars. Ordered: wings (Yum! Just like NYC), pork lo mein (yum!), pork fried rice (yum!), egg roll (pretty good, better than I've had in a long time), general tso chicken (I requested it with white meat as usual. We all liked it but my husband thought it was more "vinegary" than sweet. He doesn't like vinegar but I do. It was decent. I've had better but I've also had much worse). They have a few tables inside but waited in car becuz too cold inside. Service was great and fast enough. Location at a large intersection so at 5:30 pm in the dark I felt safe enough. Ha! read more
