I usually like their food but this time was terrible the rice was cold and all other was like warm, I ordered Hot braised chicken wings that were either over cooked or sitting out to long, They were tough and I had to throw away because they were not able to eat Then I ordered General Tso and the rice was cold and their chicken was also tough. The restaurant has better than average quality. The orders have always been a curate and the staff is extremely friendly. Problem is that they now only deliver with DoorDash. Great place to grab a quick dinner before leaving the city. Stopped in last night 40 minutes before they closed. There was a Young American born guy taking orders. I could tell he loved his job. My wife asked about their Lo Mein dish. "What Kind do you have". The young guy rapid fire listed every protein and option available. It was reminiscent of the Bubba scene in Forrest Gump! I've ordered from this place twice. The customer service over the phone is extremely polite. The food is absolutely on par and they stuff the take out boxes absolutely to the rim! Went to china king after it re-opened during the pandemic. I found the serving size has gotten much smaller from before. Full size order used to come in the large box container, now it comes in a twice smaller lunch size container. Yet the price remains the same. See picture next to soy sauce packets. I have been coming to China King for years now. It had been about a year since there last. The experience this time was not the greatest. My wife is diabetic & was asking for recommendations on their menu. Foods that were high in carbs and grains were being recommended. My son and I ordered General Tso's chicken and it tasted like seafood. We dined in and a cold front had moved in. Well they had a beverage delivery & kept going in and out of the front door. I then informed her that i do not like that soy sauce, & that i wanted kikkoman. She then said, "bottles are for dine in customers, you get packages." My response was, "No, i gave you $30 for food, whether i take my food home or not im just as much entitled to the condiments i want as any other customer & that ill even pay, but i wont be back" Then I swear...she gave me a tiny 1oz cup of soy sauce. After working a 13 hr day at work all o wanted to do is eat some Chinese and call it a day. My husband called to place the order, pot stickers (stemmed) chicken fried rice, egg rolls and asked to "please add some extra sweet n sour sauce packets". That request was for me, I love a little rice with my sweet n sour. Simple enough, right? Apparently not! The guy who answered the phone was rude and acted as though taking our order was an inconvenience. When my husband asked him approximately how long for delivery the guy replied "an hour" then hung up without another word. Well, an hour and 20 mins later we received our order. By the way, it's Tuesday night. I would hate to find out how long it would have taken to get an order on Friday or Sat night. We're starving by this time so we immediately get in the $40.00 bag of rice, pot stickers and egg rolls to find our pot stickers we're fried and NOT EVEN 1 pack of sweet and sour sauce!
