I ordered sesame chicken and it didn't taste like sesame chicken, the chicken fried rice was plain and the crab rangoon was cold so I asked for hot ones and she argued with me that they weren't cold so I said try them and I told her she can have them back I don't want them, I want hot ones. The owner was very rude to me as a costumer and for that I will not be back and it's also very hard to understand her. Also be ready for a long wait. We're new to the area and need a good Chinese place when I take a break from dinner. We ordered the basic lo mien, general Tao chicken and spicy chicken. Tried to order food on line. I put my debit card in and placed my order. Fee few minutes later, a lady from the restaurant called me to tell me that my card had declined. I told her that I would check the balance and call back. Turns out I didn't have enough money on that card. When I went back to the website to input my second card, the order was gone so I put in a second order. I checked my phone and saw that the restaurant had called me while doing so, so I called them back to verify that they'd received the second order. Let me explain that this is a $50+ order. I get this nasty man on the phone. Very upset with me that I had put a second order in online because it charges the store twice. Not sure what that means to the customer. I am a single mother, so for me to spend $50 is a big deal. I asked the guy to just put my order in and explain that I had had a bad day and he was pissing me off and he advised me to go to another restaurant. I have been spending money at different China King locations for more than 20 years. I must say that I have never been treated with so much disrespect! The take out place by my house recently closed (it wasn't that good anyway), and the one by my work is slow, rude, and everything tastes the same. So I was happy to find this place 1/2 way between home and work. I've been 4-5 times. The food is always good. The last time I went and carried out I got to work and the order was messed up - no rice. I called and complained and they promised to bring me the missing right to work. OK, that's pretty good, I guess. I went in tonight and the girl started taking my order, then in the middle answered the phone. The proceeded to take 2 more calls one after the other while I waited. One of the calls was a woman complaining that her order was wrong. I literally stood there for 10 minutes while she dealt with this. Eventually the man (owner?) came an took my order. When it finally was finished I had been there for 50 minutes. During my wait time the woman whose order was wrong came in quite mad and had very loud argument with the owner about the incorrect order. The owner then screamed at the counter girl and told her to go in the back and sit down. I didn't see her after that. Got home and the food was pretty good. I ordered 2 egg rolls and the filling was dark brown and had a vinegar taste. I ate one and threw the other away. The food is generally better than the average take out joint, but the long wait, obvious inability to get an order right, and chaotic atmosphere makes it unlikely that I will return. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! My order took over an hour to arrive and then was wrong. I called to have it corrected and was told the manager would have to call me back. 15 minutes later I had to call again and was told the manager was still out and for them to correct my order they would have to charge me for the new order that I was supposed to get in the first place. This location is nothing like the other ones. The sesame combination lunch platter didn't taste like the sauce for sesame. The crab Rangoon was sitting then brought to the table way b4 the entree so it was cold and the cashier did not want to remake only wanted to microwave. I've yet to be disappointed there!! The fried rice is excellent, my mom digs the crab rangoon, I especially love the shrimp egg foo yung.

We order from here at least once a week. Everything is always hot, fresh and delicious. Hands down the best Chinese food in Arnold. My wife is a big fan of the Sesame Chicken and I usually go for the chicken with garlic sauce. The restaurant itself is not super bright or fancy, but the food is EXCELLENT. One note, delivery can take a while, so if you are in a hurry pick-up is the way to go. Food is always ready within 10-15 minutes of ordering. read more

My favorite chinese place in Saint louis!! I don't go here as often as I should, that's mostly due to the fact that chinese food is very flavorful and I get tired of it fast. Whenever I get a craving form some chinese, this is the place I go to. I love their orange chicken as its crispy and not soggy like the other places. I call ~ They are going to give me credit for next visit ~ but I only come her about once every 5 years. I tell them this and ask if they could just deliver it...which they do. Thank you for that. I placed an order for delivery and they told me it would arrive within 45 minutes to an hour. After an hour and a half went by I called and they stated it would be another 20 mins. I asked for a discount and the manager was rude and argumentative. After being on the phone for 10 minutes listening to him yell, he finally gave me a discount and told me NEVER ORDER FROM HIM AGAIN!!! Then he hung up on me. I placed an order, waited over 2 hrs for it to be delivered, and then was told never order from him again??? I would strongly discourage anyone to order from this restaurant. The quality of the food isn't the greatest either. We ordered cashew chicken and it had 95% veggies in it. Very little chicken and cashews. I ordered chicken kung pao, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. The soup and eggrolls were pretty good. The main dish, however, was lousy. very little chicken or peanuts. almost all fried rice and tiny cut up vegetables. looked like they were out of a can. no taste what so ever except for the salt. greasy. Their food is always very good and I've never had a mix up with my orders. My problem is when I place a to-go order and they tell me 45 mins to an hour and the food shows up two hours later.. I ordered my lunch very late at 6 pm and it didn't arrive until almost 8 pm. I leave work at 8. I'm glad it got there before I actually left work. Granted, yeah it's a Saturday night, but give me a correct wait time on how long it will take so I can order somewhere else and not receive my food as I'm about to walk out of the door to go home. read more

My family and I have been loyal patrons from the day they opened. We never do delivery, just takes too long. We've dined in numerous times. Service and quality of food has always been outstanding. I only wish they would serve stuffed baby squid and mussels. Also if I request something to be extra or extremely spicy or hot there's never a problem. They just smile and say okay. I have tried and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and every time I'm more and more disappointed. Each time I have to call at least once, if not twice, to find out where my food is. I placed my order on the app at 617pm for an ETA of 712. At 745pm, my husband called to check on the status. We were told it was out on the car for delivery. Waiting an hour & 1/2 sucks, but we accepted it. At 810pm I called back from my phone and was told an identical response (it's on the car for delivery). It JUST arrived at 824pm and I'm livid. There was no apology or acknowledgement of any kind about the lateness, but the driver was talking to my husband about his car & how fast it was instead. Not to mention my order is WRONG. I'm beyond angry. DO NOT waste your time, or your money doing business with this location (at least by delivery). It's laughable at best. read more

I have been a customer of this establishment for many years and throughout all of them I have NEVER had a complaint until now. It seems that they are under new management with new employees. On 4/7 I placed a carryout order which was repeated back to me as well as my phone number. Afterwards, I concluded the call by telling them that I would be there in 10 minutes. When I got there she said that I had hung up on her and that she had not placed the order. Okay, everyone learns by their mistakes if they own them. While I waited at the counter for my order, this young lady had pulled up a stool and was sittin just inside of the kitchen, on the left, and was coughing..not covering her mouth or turning her head. At that point I had asked for the manager and after I explained this entire situation to him he apoligized and said that complaints were to learn from, which I agree with, I paid for my order and left. On 4/20 I placed another carryout order. Again, the order was repeated back to me along with my phone number. I picked up my order and found it to be wrong when I got home, at which point I just decided to let it go...until today. I called to place a carryout order, once again. I began the call by explaining that under the new management my last 2 orders had issues so I hoped that the third time would be the charm. After each item was ordered there was a noticeable pause and then she read it back to me. I sent my daughter to pick it up and she checked it, this time, before she left. The order was wrong. She explained to the employee what was wrong and the employee proceeded to get argumentive and defensive by saying that she repeated the order back 1, 000 times. For the record, English is this employee's first language. When my daughter returned home with a correct order and told me what had happened, I called the manager. I began by explaining the continued issues with this particular employee. At that point he began by lecturing me about what I had to say. I stated that I wouldn't be returning and he then told me that he would not accept anymore orders from me. Soooo if you recieve the same kind of service, don't be surprised, apparently he's not interested. You might just want to save yourself some grief by going elsewhere because this sure isn't the same place where I have been a long time loyal customer...smh. read more
