Forst time from out of town. Food was great. I had two orders which were adequate amount of food. Recommended

I was watching food videos and there were a lot of Chinese foods to look at so I decided to order some near by. This place is just down the road and I was able to order online which was convenient to look at the menu and order and get a total and time it would be done without having to call. I ordered the steamed dumplings, honey chicken combo for me and ordered the general tso's chicken for my fiancée. After I placed the order I waited until it was closer to the time it would be ready to head over. Went picked it up and the check out was fast and the lady at the counter was very nice. I grabbed a few sauce packets in case I needed them. I tried the dumplings first since they would get cold the fastest. The dipping sauce for them was amazing and the dumplings them selves were so big and juicy. I almost ate the whole tray myself in just a few mins. I will definitely be getting more of them in the future. The honey chicken wasn't as sweet or sticky like I'm used to but it was still very good, and the veggies were perfectly cooked with a little bit to them. The fried rice felt like it was almost undercooked but it didn't leave any gritty feeling so I think its just how they are fried. The general tso's chicken is not spicy at all and actually more sweet and bbq like. It's still good but if you want spicy you'll probably have to ask for it to be. The white rice was really good and soft and the egg roll was really crispy. I might try some different dishes next time but I'm definitely going to get those dumplings next time.

This is a typical strip mall Chinese place. A few tables, but most of their business is take-out. And what a business it is. The food. I had a lunch special Mongolian beef with white rice and hot and sour soup. If the kitchen can make very good hot and sour soup, then the rest of the food is usually great. This once again held true for China King. Excellent soup. The right taste, heat, texture and ingredients. The Mongolian beef was also very good although a little chewy but hey, it usually is. The woman that took my order was very friendly and courteous. This is the best regular Americanized Chinese take-out joint I have found around here.

THIS IS WHAT CHINESE FOOD SHOULD TASTE LIKE!!! If you can't tell Im just really excited to have found a Chinese place in Columbia equivalent to New York Chinese takeout. Everyone at China King was friendly. It is family owned and a little boy took our order. I knew it was good when he was the one taking out order. It just felt right. The specials are cheap and come with A LOT of food! My boyfriend and I got the Lo-Mein special and the Orange chicken special. For 8.95 it comes with fried rice and an egg roll (pics included). I will be in a food coma for days, but very content.

This is my favorite place for Chinese. Soo authentic and made with fresh ingredients. Crab Rangoon is probably the best Ive ever had.

The general Tso's and Hunan chicken are great and the food is best when you order during the most busy hours.

You order first and then the food is brought to your table. I liked the causal concept. I ordered chili wontons and a salt and pepper porkchop. The chili wontons were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchop showed up to my table and I immediately thought wait this is not correct. I clarified with the staff member and she told me it was indeed a salt and pepper porkchop. Well a salt and pepper is traditionally deep fried so I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I accepted it and although it was not what I was expecting, it was an incredible meal. I thought they gave too much white rice but the overall presentation was beautiful. The minced pork over the rice and the steamed egg were perfect accompaniments. I ordered a milk tea to go and it was only okay. The boba was cooked too long as they were very soft. Softer than they should be. Otherwise, this was a solid choice to dine in the area.

Their noodles have a great texture to them and make their soups absolutely standout from the rest. The shrimp bao buns have great texture and flavor! The staff is friendly and the service is quick! I had my order to go but the interior is nice. You can tell it's a mom and pop shop and it truly feels like someone's grandmother is making the food back there. I'm looking forward to my next visit to dine in!

But we were able to get a table fairly quickly. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls, which by far for the highlight of the evening. The sauce is addictive and I could have eaten three orders of these. My friend ordered the spider roll and I ordered the volcano roll and the Palmetto roll. The Palmetto roll had honey on it, which I didn't think about but the sweet mixed with the fish was not my thing. The volcano roll was absolutely delicious but know that it's pretty heavily covered in the mayo and eel sauce so if you don't want a ton of extra calories, you could ask for it on the side. My friend spider roll was super fishy. I'm glad we went, but not sure that it would be worth a trip back. The restaurant was clean and nice, but the bathroom has seen better days and there was blood on the walls so it was just really weird. Luckily went to the restroom at the end of the evening. So it didn't impact my appetite.

The food is actually good here, but we came and had some of the worst service in post COVID memory…read more We ordered an appetizer, and the tables behind, and to the side of us both had their orders messed up, so after close to 1 hour (no exaggeration) we never had a drink refill or our actual meal put in. We politely went to the bar and said in the most polite way possible that we needed to pay for these reasons, and I still tipped......because I am not a dirt bag. It still took another 10 minutes to pay. I am leaving off the name of the server, because people may need the money, but I am pretty sure that the staff and team know who it is, and the problem can be fixed by servers actually writing down orders, so that mistakes are less common, and staff covering down for others. I will happily update this review if I go back in a year or something and they have these easy, and almost cost neutral solutions implemented.
