    Crispy, light, and juicy chicken wings! However the beef curry, wasn't spicy even though I picked the highest level and there wasn't much curry flavor. Uneven vegetable to beef ration. Mostly filler. But the wings were good. Wish they could add spice to them.

    I usually don't review "Chinese restaurants", but I'll make an exception. I mostly want to take a moment to talk about the wife of the owner. She is always cheerful, friendly, and accurate when it comes to orders. In addition to this, she is generous! Everytime my mom and I stop by, she chirps "Hello babies!", and patiently waits while we take forever to decide what to order. She always adds a pint of white rice, soda and at LEAST 5 fortune cookies. She is the greatest, and this is my favorite place for Chinese-American (fried) food. By the way, the food itself is delicious. :)

    Crispy honey chicken A++

    I ordered from China King for the first time this week through Yelp24. I requested the honey chicken which I am always scared to order as it usually comes with the honey on the side (which in my opinion leaves the chicken tasting bland, it's way better when cooked together) or it arrives uber soggy. However, that was not the case here. The honey chicken arrived still piping hot and oh so crispy. I did however, make a note with the order for them to make the chicken with the honey on it and not to send it on the side. They were willing to comply and it was delicious! I will be sure to keep them as my go to for Chinese food delivery. :D

    This is supposed to be chicken.

    Came here to grab a quick bite expecting that when I order chicken, I get chicken, however when I cut into the "chicken" I couldn't make out any actual chicken meat. Not sure what it was. I happened to have eaten some of the meal prior to noticing this. The flavor is decent but the content of the food is questionable at least. See attached pictures. How someone could serve food scraps is beyond my understanding. The lady's best reply "I'll let the people in the back know". This place should be reported to local authorities and shut down.

They have pan-Chinese dishes, but less Cantonese influence than a lot of other Chinese restaurants I've been to in South Florida. La Zi Ji: I wish this was spicier but I understand they have to cater to the demographic Twice Cooked Pork: rice stealer, authentic Eggplant: Chinese cooked eggplant is the only id eat eggplant because otherwise I find them too bland. A lot of garlic and flavor in this one Also the only restaurant that has century eggs!! I think I saw some classic American Chinese dishes as well, like orange chicken, but that's not where my attention went. Overall, I will be back!

Happy to report that this place is legit, and the dishes are very authentic as well as delicious. They specialize in sichuan style dishes, though there are enough offerings that are not spicy, and we can request mild on many of them. The duck in dry pot was juicy and flavorful, and we also had a mix pot which was spicy with tripe, duck blood, squid, spam, cabbage, bean sprout and other stuff in it. The only dish I won't reorder is the salt and pepper tofu. While the flavor was good, the shell was too thick and hard. Service from our waitress was really nice. Glad we don't have to drive miles up north whenever we want good Chinese food.

When you enter you are immediately greeted at the front and quickly seated. Our waitress came to bring us water and take our order within a few minutes. I only came for the soup dumplings. They come 3 to an order for $5.95. They come out super fresh and steaming so let them cool down. The broth inside is delicious and really hit the spot. My husband ordered the pan fried pork dumpling. Also come 3 per order. We loved both and were happy with flavor, seasoning. Especially how fast the food came out. I would call this a small restaurant. The space is very casual with ample seating. On a Monday afternoon they were pretty busy so that tells me locals also really love this spot. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu.

As soon as you're seated, you get offered hot tea and water. The hot tea is good. The waiter provided some great suggestions. The only thing is that we did have to request the chow mein noodles, when it was offered to the other tables. To eat, I tried the fried shrimp taro cake, fried crab rangoon, pan fried pork dumplings and special lomein. The fried shrimp taro cake was the best thing I've tried that day. It was delicious and I could eat this all day, everyday. The fried crab rangoon was also delicious and I will definitely order it again. The pork dumplings were tasty too. The special lomein had pork, chicken and shrimp and it was very good. It also came with white rice, which was had no seasoning, but that was expected. The special lomein is definitely a shareable dish. Overall, the service was good and the food was very tasty. I was also very surprised how affordable it was. This is definitely a place I would return when I'm craving Chinese food.

    Mediocre Food, Insultingly Small Portions and Poor Service…read more Unfortunately, Komodo was a major disappointment. The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.
