This is the only Szechuan restaurant in South Florida (that I know of). As a Southern Californian, I grew up eating this cuisine and it's one of the main types of Chinese food I crave. Can't really compare this to my spots in CA, but I will definitely be back to satisfy my cravings!! FOOD - Szechuan Chicken: one of my favorite Szechuan dishes. Although there were a lot of peppers (as there should be), I thought it could be spicier (as someone who can handle spice). The chicken was crispy. However, I do wish there was more meat in the chicken bits (a lot of pieces tasted just like breading). Overall good flavor though. - String Beans: this was my favorite thing I got. It's so savory (thank you MSG hahah- probably) and so addictive. 100% will be back for this dish. Not spicy - Dumpling: probably wouldn't get this again. It was mostly skin and no filling. - Beef Noodle Soup: I personally thought this could be spicier. Not the best beef noodle soup I've ever had, but also one of the only options in South Florida and it hit the spot. They give a decent amount of meat with it too. INTERIOR This establishment had the stereotypical Chinese restaurant decorations. Overall, spacious place and was clean. They have multiple huge tables, so it's a great spot for groups. SERVICE Pretty attentive. I never had to wait around for service. MISC There's some street parking around.

The area off 163rd St has been known to be Miami's unofficial "Chinatown" for many years, with options stretching from highway to the bay, CY is unique in their full menu of Sichuan cuisine as well as the traditional American style Chinese food offerings. Parking may be a little strange for some, but the restaurant is what you'd expect, ambiance is not a focus but is relatively clean. There are two menus, great for the unadventurous who can't take the heat and fire that is the hallmark of this cuisine. For the uninitiated, Sichuan food is not just spicy hot but also tingly and slightly mouth-numbing with the use of the Sichuan Peppercorn, it's a unique experience that adds to the exoticness of flavors and CY does a pretty good job representing them.

别来,贼难吃,小红书都是托,酸辣粉不酸不辣,酸菜鱼土腥味很大没法吃。图是吃完以后剩的,酸菜鱼和酸辣粉基本没怎么吃,太难吃了 Let's face it: this is not authentic Sichuan restaurant. The food is tasteless. No service at all (not even someone to get us water. We had to pour ourselves tea). Below pic is from AFTER we're done eating -- by how much food stays almost untouched you can tell how bad it is. Keep in mind we headed over right after diving for a full day and we're all hungry.

Don't judge a book by its cover when coming . The establishment is like a home cooked meal and you feel very welcome and at home. Our server Marcy was the one and only server there and she was so attentive and fast and super friendly and very helpful with recommendations as far as appetizers we started off with the wonton soup and the fresh sliced beef. Then we proceeded with the Singapore street noodles from the traditional menu and then had gotten the brown sugar eggplant which was one of the top two favorites.. Everything there is so fresh and delicious the atmosphere was quiet and calm it looked as if only locals knew about this place because it's so well hidden and this place is. True gem

I'm going to be very honest right now... I haven't tried anything from this restaurant, besides their sautéed potatoes. I LOVE these potatoes and frankly, that's the only reason I order from this place. It is so hard to find these type of shredded potatoes around South FL, because they are very authentic and time consuming to make. I used to get them at Chinese Guy Chi Town Restaurant, but it closed down during Covid. Ever since then, I've craved it and hunted it down to this very place. 5 stars to keep it alive because I can't handle losing these potatoes again. Please support me and my relationship with these potatoes. Thank you. Pro tip: Order these potatoes to go, add chili oil at home, and sauté them for 2-5 minutes. Then, you will experience my experience. All the potato sticks should be orange. You're welcome.

The food was soooo good and super authentic. We had cucumbers they were super flavorful and the sautéed green beans were spicy and garlicky omg and crunchy, I love when it's not softened and cooked perfectly . Original steamed fish with ginger and scallion , spicy tangliang beed , vegetable fried rice. Definitely a Miami gem !

Authentic low-key restaurant located right across the Walmart plaza. I never thought twice to go in but don't let the exterior or interior deceive you. They are more than just a Chinese restaurant. They serve authentic Szechuan cuisine as well as hot pot. We decided to get an appetizer (not pictured) it was tripe and ox tongue in chili sauce (served cold) it was delicious and light on the spice, just the sauce alone we used as a dipping sauce for our eggrolls it was so good. Their sake was a small clear bottle that was clean on the nose & fresh on the taste buds that went down easy. The herbal tea in a can (red can yellow letters) was very sweet & different that other teas. Our food was very hot when it came out and smelled amazing. We each got a small cup of white rice. The portion size alone could be enough for two people. The pork intestines with lotus root was very spicy and had strong szechuan peppercorn flavor. The only way to calm the spice was to eat the cauliflower in the dish or drink more sake. We were sweating! The pork belly was less spicy & was more distinguished by the meat than the szechuan flavors and paired nicely with the leek. I was disappointed with the dumplings in red chili they had good flavor however the meat portion inside the dumplings were little to none vs the picture in their menu book. They do close at 10 on Sundays so if you want hot pot it's best to get their early. Even at 8:30 they already stopped hot pot service when I asked.

I'm used to good Szechuan foods in Seattle but found CY to be the one in Miami area. It's located in a rundown stripe mall that has only a few parking spaces. I have doubts before going in due to the dirtiness on the outside. We were all tired after a day at Seaquarium, so decided to give it a try. The foods were okay but probably the most authentic in the area. The garlic cucumbers is supposed to be a cold dish but we're served at room temperature, not sure why. The Peking pork, twice cooked pork and mala pot were all yummy. The service was quick, bring the only other table at the time. Drive to Miami Airport was about 25 mins.

Excellent food. Extremely authentic Chinese food . The beef meat itself does not have an authentic texture in my opinion, but the flavor definitely is. The chicken is excellent along with the dry pot items. I would definitely come back here. Waitresses are kind and attentive. The place is clean. Worth the drive to come here!

Meat and Vegetables with hot and spicy broth

This is 5 stars for authentic Chinese in Miami. Obviously not 5 stars in LA or NYC for Sichuan but pretty darned good. The only other legit Chinese in Miami is the OG Dumpling King. Been going to both for over tens years now since moving from LA. For the Asians looking for the authentic dishes my favorite is "Meat and Veggies w/ Hot spicy broth". It's basically Sichuan mala hotpot with everything from shrimp, tripe, spam, fatty pork belly, cellophane noodles to potatoes, seaweed, lotus root, and cauliflower with loads of garlic. I personally get it without the pork intestines but there is that also if you want. Disclaimer: this is NOT a healthy dish. This is a sweaty, endorphin rush, addictive dish. You have been warned. Other legit dishes include the dry spicy pot with bone in chicken, the fish filet with spicy bean curd (not that spicy), the shredded pork or beef with bamboo (not spicy at all). The green beans with minced pork is also good. They have the standard stuff also but if you come here, be adventurous.

The service is top notch with extreme attention to detail. We were celebrating my friend's birthday so we went all out and did the Taste of Hakkasan Prix Fixe menu for $175. It was so much food but everything was phenomenal. I especially enjoyed the duck, all of the dumplings, the sea bass and beef tenderloin. But the flavors were great in every dish. Between the two of us, we had a ton of leftovers which wasn't ideal as we were staying in a hotel. We asked for a mini fridge and munched on the very expensive leftovers it in between activities. On top of the poor service, the brunch menu has become extremely limited. They no longer offer the dim sum platters as pictured in the advertisement and many of our favorite dishes including the venison and pumpkin puffs are no longer on the menu.
