My favorite for Chinese take-out. This is basically a take-out only. They have a couple tables, but nobody really eats here. Call ahead and your order is ready in 15-20 minutes. The portions are large, the service is quick, and the food is tasty -- what more could you ask for? I recommend the combinations--you get one entree, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. Solid Chinese takeout place! My fiance and I were worried we wouldn't be able to find a good Chinese takeout place since moving to Florida. Both of us grew up in the northeast and are very familiar with the Chinese food from Flushing and Brooklyn. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and Beef and Broccoli - both typical basic dishes we've found that, if done poorly, are a good indicator of the quality of other dishes. And they were solid! Batter on the chicken was done well, and the beef was not dry and drowning in salty sauce. This will probably be our go to Chinese takeout place! read more

If you order delivery , be ready to repeat your address 6 times, and they will still manage to get it wrong. The order got to our place about 50 min later and in the bag no chopsticks, spoon or sauce were included (when we ordered soup and sesame beef and rice). The food itself was ok, but it was not real sesame beef. The wonton soup was good but the wonton were too thick. The good part was the portion, which was very generous. We could have shared one entrée easily between 2 people. It came out to be $35 for one entrée each and one small size soup, which is pricy for the quality of the food we got. I don't recommend this place to anyone who really appreciate true Chinese food. read more

We have ordered from this restaurant for 3 years. I tried to give 0 stars but that wouldn't work. When I called to order tonight they told me we were out of the delivery distance. I asked what their distance was and they said 5 miles. We are 4 miles according to Google maps. I was very disappointed. I told them this was very poor customer service. Instead of delivery we picked up and once again the food and service was amazing. We ordered online and the restaurant even called to confirm the order to make sure everything was right. This is our go-to for Chinese takeout! They are on the good side of average Chinese takeout so I recommend! They have good chicken and pork fried rice but personally would love some more veggies in the rice or at least more bean sprouts! The inside is clean and the cashiers are nice. We enjoy the food, and have for years, but we no longer order from China King because their delivery driver is beyond rude. Every time he comes he questions the tip... it's awkward and tacky. We have gone and picked it up and that same guy would come in and be loud and obnoxious... borderline bully to the staff. We've decided to try a different restaurant. Shame, just don't feel like dealing with a person basically begging for money, considering he drove .4 miles to drop off food and we tip well. read more

Good luck finding great Chinese food in the Oldsmar/Palm Harbor area. China King is another Chinese takee Outee place that is below average but will do the job of your hungry. Egg Rolls are eh, the Generals chicken isn't spicy enough.....even when you ask for spicy, and the fried rice really needs some seasoning badly.... I'll probably grab to go from here again, because it's close to the house and the area doesn't have a better alternative....damn we need a good Chinese place in this area! read more

I hate to leave bad reviews and seldom do but I was so beyond disappointed with my food tonight. I've had a lot of Chinese from many parts of the US in my 30 years but this by far was the worst Chinese I've ever had. The portion sizes were so small. The pupu platter was the most disappointing thing I've ever seen. Rangoons were chewy as was anything else that was fried. Spring rolls, wontons and shrimps were also doughy/chewy. Spareribs were not what I expected, legit two ribs. Chicken wings were the size of my thumb, super breaded and had about two bites on them. Two beef sticks which weren't that flavorful and looked undercooked. I've never seen a pupu platter (even if it's just for two) literally have just two of each item on it? Just me? I don't know, maybe they need to travel to New England or New York, even Georgia to see how slammed these Chinese restaurants make their food/flavors/quality and portion sizes. That is all I can say, everything was the poorest quality Chinese I've ever had. I ordered chicken for the kids and it was literally chicken nuggets. I have the same chicken nuggets in my refrigerator as I type this, that I could of made myself. Which, I get it, chicken nuggets, nice to have on the menu but does no one serve Chinese style chicken fingers around here? Kids were so disappointed, which led me to complete aggravation because they are still hungry, so am I for that matter. I was just chewing on a semi cold flavorless, stale Rangoon and spring roll for what felt like 10 minutes , I'm hungry, my kids are hungry and to boot I'm $40 in the hole. Oh and it took well over and hour to deliver. Just sucks, I'm a single mom and I didn't really have the money to treat the kids and myself as it was. We were all ready to grub out, watch a movie and treat ourselves and most if not all of it, went to the trash or to my dog. The driver (aggressively) blamed the restaurant as to why he couldn't find my apartment. Which was an online order, which I gave clear directions to, three times including a text to the driver. When I'm in Tampa visiting my family, my uncle stops by here on the way over to mom's house and gets take-out because he lives over on that side of town. I'll be honest - I've had a tough time finding really good Asian cuisine in the Bay Area....not sure why there don't seem to be a lot of good places, or if they are, they seem to be hidden. This establishment serves standard Chinese takeout, but it's well made, the portions are generous, the prices aren't high, and the service is friendly. My standard order is the General Tso's Tofu and the Hot and Sour Soup, and the food has been consistently good every time. I highly recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite of Chinese food. read more

This is a good so so Chinese food spot. Isn't super expensive, the portions are huge and the food is good. They are fast, and I can't ever finish my dish. Which means leftovers. I got sick after eating here about a year ago but decided to try it again. Went there for pick-up and I wanted to gag from the smell inside the place. Noticed a container of about 50 egg rolls sitting next to the deep fryer un-refrigerated. Got home and opened my egg rolls and they smelled bad like the inside of the restaurant. Threw all food directly in the trash can outside so the house wouldn't stink. Made a couple of salads instead. Never, never again will I order food here! read more

My wife and I have been going here for years (at least 10 +) and we have noted most recently the dishes served have been lacking original flavor and recipes. Especially the egg foo young...barely any bean sprouts last three orders, bbq pork was tough at best, house lo mein lacked flavor overall, along with Crab Rangoon barely had any crab taste to it. Called them, twice, to convey our concern and was basically casted off. In the past we have recommended China King to many of our friends and neighbors ....but we too need to keep our reputation regarding suggested places to eat. Sorry folks for the thumbs down right now. Hopefully they will remedy our concerns and we'll return our business. Anybody have any other favorites you would recommend? We really wanted to like this place. As it was maybe the only Chinese food delivery place we had not tried in the area. China Taste at Boot Ranch had always been our standby. But something happened overnight there and the quality went way down. Back to China King. It took an hour, maybe slightly longer, to get our delivery. And we live practically right across the street. Food was subpar. Huge chunks of veggie that were not even cut down into edible size pieces. Same with the meats. But worst was the sauces. Completely bland. My wife got a Hunan dish, I got a a Szechuan. The sauces tasted completely identical. Why bother to order different dishes if the use the same sauce irrregardless? read more

I'm going to make this review as short as possible. I'm not a huge fan of their fried rice; however, I do like their chicken dishes. Their general tso chicken is what I normally order which is pretty good. They deliver pretty quickly. In about 20-35 minutes at most. I do like how the person who delivers the food brings the credit card machine with them so that I don't have to give my info over the phone. Prices are similar to that of other Chinese take out places. I do recommend ordering from here if you're in the palm harbor area but remind you, their fried rice won't impress you much. read more

Just had lunch there today. The food was delicious and reasonable price. I didn't feel like having a big lunch. I visit from Boston and just need some lunch and was going to the Mongolian restaurant few door down. While I was passing this china King restaurant and was uncalled for. Because of the other restaurant told me to wait. So I decided to grab quick bite from this Chinese restaurant instead. We had Garlic Shrimp and Beef with eggplant. This place is busy!!!! I guess that was a good indication when I decided to try their food. Menu is the same as all other Chinese takeout businesses in the area. Prices are in line with the other Chinese businesses in the area. When I say this place is busy, it does not mean they are slow. My order took approx 20 minutes and I watched no less than 10 others picking up theirs orders in that time. Staff was friendly. I will definitely be ordering again. My only recommendation is to go to Publix and buy a jar of good duck sauce as those little packets are just blecch! read more
