Solid place for Vietnamese food. It may be tucked into a corner of a plaza and easily missed, but I think this place is worth it to check out. The server here is friendly and food comes out pretty quick. It's not the most amazing ambiance, but let's be honest, you're here for the food. I got the Rice Vermicelli and it was solid. Generous on the portion sizes, with a good amount of shrimp, grilled pork, and a nice crispy egg-roll. Really a solid dish for a hot summer day. I have waited to write this review for a while because we just did not have a good experience here which goes against most reviews and I was trying to figure out how to word things as nicely as I could. Honestly, I don't get it. The spring roll was okay but honestly the best part of our entire meal was the Oreo Boba Tea (the reason for the 2nd star). My grilled chicken was dry and the entire dish lacked any real flavor. I even added stuff to try to help. Ben's Pho broth was really lacking flavor as well. He had to put in so much extra stuff in it to try to help it really wasn't funny. He eats Pho often. Also, the wrong noodles were used in the Pho which does change how the dish tastes as well as textures. Ben left his Pho there but I did take mine in hopes to be able to doctor it up but it just wasn't possible. There were just too many things off on both our meals. read more

Overdue for an update for Green Mint Asian Grill. Before this last time I visited it was over 7 years since I had been to this location. I'm so glad I came back. We ordered three items: chicken bao buns, Korean chicken, and the special combination bun bowl with pork and egg. All three of these options were so tasty and flavorful. I can't even say which one of the three were my favorite because they were all three very very good. I've had a kick for looking for Korean chicken lately and this one definitely is a hit! Everyone working here was especially friendly and helpful. It was clean and open, and updated. If you are not sure what to order, check out their tv screens, they have amazing pics of the food there. Enjoyed Green Mint so much that I ate here two days in a row! I kept coming back for their *"Korean style" style chicken wings. Yep, you read it right. The wings are double-coated, double-fried, wonderfully crispy, and topped with crushed peanuts and chives. So good! Note this is a "fusion" restaurant. I've tried many other dishes here, from their bun to their rice plates, bubble tea, and all of their appetizers. Food was ok. Mostly standard Vietnamese dishes (pho, bun, banh mi) as well as some other things like teriyaki. The bun is actually mostly veggies (bean sprouts and shredded carrots) that actually soak up fish sauce ok and not much noodle so it's a very light lunch. Grilled pork or chicken are both ok. Teriyaki tofu is actually firm and well cooked with some sweet sauce that my kid liked. Got there about 1pm on a Sunday and there was maybe four tables in the restaurant active. Somehow despite that smaller crowd, our waiter didn't check up on us and our food order got lost, meaning we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food to come out. Staff didn't seem super apologetic and my hangry family with a 3 year old somehow made it through without exploding. Probably worst service I've ever had so while I think the food is a 3, service drags this down where I won't be back for sure. read more

A bit out of way by US 19 and Enterprise Rd, but accessible via a back road. Went there after church, one of a very few Thai places open. Actually more of a Vietnamese place than Thai. There right after opening so self seated right away. Menus and water brought quickly. Other than carry out only a family of six there besides us. For starters my wife ordered the Shrimp Tempura and I the Fresh Shrimp Summer Rolls. My wife opted for the Salad Bowl with Chicken and I chose the Special Combination Rice. The appetizers came in a few minutes. My wife tasted the Shrimp Roll but didn't care for it, but I loved it. Just wished there was some spicy sauces, but just the Sriracha, which was mild. My wife did enjoy the Tempura Shrimp but again it lacked sauce with a kick. After about 15 minutes our meals came, right after the meals for the family and carry outs. Her Salad was very enjoyable but again lacked a good dressing. What's up with that? My Special was very disappointing. I had wanted stir fried but guess did not communicate well. It came with plain rice topped with a fried egg, a leaf of lettuce with 4 slices of tasty cucumber and grilled pork. The pork was tasty just not what I wanted. No desserts for my wife. Not even fruit, which we were told was saved for the Boba drinks? So my wife got a Strawberry Boba. It was good but very sweet. In checking Weight Watchers, it had half her points for the whole day. This place is PHENOMENAL!!!! Prices are great, service was GREAT, and most importantly, the food is bomb. I had the shrimp summer roll, the pork banh mi, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The Vietnamese iced coffee is a little over $5 and is huuuge - Starbucks could never. The banh mi bread was crusty and light, as it should be, and they nailed it on the flavor of the meat. The grilled pork is super flavorful. The pickled veggies add a nice crunch. I love the spring roll on top. The sauce/salad dressing is tasty! I also really enjoy the Green Mint Bahn Mi. Fresh pork and veggies are loaded onto the perfectly baked French bread. Most of my coworkers order the beef pho and they rave about how good it is. I'll have to try that next time! Went for lunch have been here before and the served me beef pho, however, the noodles were thick rice noodles! I've never had fall ever with thick noodles. Server indicated it's been served that way all along, which is absolutely not. The truth took the ball of fallback up to the counter and he said nothing, so I asked if he wanted my card. Stopped in this place to grab a quick lunch on a cool Sunday afternoon after shopping at At Home next door. Customer Service was amazing. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and prompt service. The food was great. A definite no frills straight to the point Asian cuisine. I had the beef pho and the broth was pretty tasty. The noodles were more of a flat rice noodle but were well cooked from the broth. What is not pictured here that I had but was amazing, was the Vietnamese iced coffee. As soon as I took a sip... I had to exhale it was sooo good. Definitely hit the spot. Haven't been here in a while. We were next door shopping and kinda chilly out so why not get some Pho. The place got a new makeover giving it that true restaurant feeling more than before. As you walk in they added a big fish tank as the focal point when you come in. I personally think that the fish tank gave the place a more relaxing atmosphere (only if you don't stare at the fish, PSA, the fish have a staring problem hahaha). J/K, I really like what they did with the place. The staff is friendly as they have always been since the place opened a few years back. First let me say I added some pictures (1st three images) of the food we ordered from the last time we were here a year ago ( I didn't want to waste a good photo op!!). Now on to what wifey and I ordered. We tried their new Korean Cheese dog for the app. I ordered the Pho(since it's chilly out) and wifey ordered Bun combo. These are the last 4 pictures. All the food we ordered were YUMMERS! The broth of the pho is so flavorful, I didn't need to add too much hoisin sauce to get that extra flavor and it is steamy hot! I was honestly so surprised how nicely the fresh rolls were wrapped in plastic wrap with utensils and the peanut sauce. 5 stars for that! The steamed buns are my number one pick. Decided to give this place a shot today for lunch and so glad I did! Wow! Cute little Vietnamese restaurant in a strip plaza. You go up to the counter to order (either dine in or carry out), they give you a number and you can sit at one of the tables. We decided to eat there. Very clean and staff is very friendly. Upon entering we were greeted with a smiling face. I had the Vegetable Pho and Shrimp Rolls and my husband had the Beef Pho. The Pho bowls were outstanding! Fresh ingredients and so flavorful. I cleaned my whole bowl! The shrimp rolls are just ok, nothing what I was expecting. I was expecting a spring roll with shrimp instead of pork....it's actually small shrimp wrapped in spring roll wrap and deep fried. Shrimp tails are kept on and sticking out of the roll. Don't get me wrong they were good and cute but next time I'll stick with the spring rolls. We will definitely be back to this place. Thanks Green Mint for a great lunch! read more

On our voyage to Clearwater to run some errands we decided to see what the Asian food scene was about in Clearwater! Unfortunately not too many choices, lol. However we landed upon green mint Asian grill that had pretty good reviews and boba tea!!! This place is hidden inside the complex with fresh market, Burlington and orange theory - yes, very diverse lol. Inside is a quick fast food type place where you order and sit down. The food options include Banh mi, bun (vermicelli bowls), rice bowls, pho and boba drinks! It's a good alternative to the usual hustle and bustle of a Vietnamese restaurant. We decided on green mint pho (beef, some of other part of the beef and meat balls) and green mint bun (shrimp, grilled pork and egg roll)! Also got the basic grill pork summer rolls. Everything was delicious and fresh - I would def recommend a dash of fish sauce in the pho broth to add some salt and flavor. However I enjoyed it overall. The grilled pork was very flavorful and moist - I would have preferred some charred pieces on the meat but I know the struggles of doing that since some people may complain it's "Burnt" (although the traditional Vietnamese way is to have charred pieces). Overall I'm glad Clearwater has something that is traditional. I've had other Vietnamese places in Clearwater and it was a disappointment. This is my new go to lunch spot. I am a sucker for a good banh mi and Green Mint doesn't disappoint! My favorite has been the grilled pork banh mi. I have intentions of trying other menu items out soon and hope they're just as good. Ive had both the passion fruit punch and milk tea with boba. Both are really good but I think the passion fruit pairs really well with the banh mi. The service has also been great. Everyone is very friendly here. In other words: this place conveniently located just off of busy US 19, in a busy shopping center. It makes for a great place to stop on your commute home from work. Just call ahead and pick it up usually within 20mins. The atmosphere is contemporary yet simple. Tables have a simple bamboo shoot and a couple of sauce options available. Everything I have tried from here has been 100% delicious! From the mint lemonade to the rice bowls or the pho. I of course love the Thai tea but, who doesn't love a sweet caffeine fix!?! I adore Vietnamese food and have eaten it in little dives in St. Louis, larger high end restaurants in Chicago, and even at home prepared by my beautiful Vietnamese sister in law. THIS place however beats them all, hands down. Sorry, Truc - I love ya, but this place rocks! I had the Green Mint Bun and it was simply phenomenal. Everything was somehow a lighter, fresher version of every bun I'd ever had before. The meats were grilled and seasoned to perfection. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The spring roll was hot and delicious but not heavy or greasy. The noodles were perfect. It was totally the bomb. When I checked with with YELP I received a complimentary Green Mint Sweet Tea (includes refills, of which I had two!) that was absolutely delicious with fresh crushed mint and lemon. Husband had the "baby" Pho - still a HUGE portion of delicious tender beef, noodles and broth. Yum. Because he was concerned he might be a bit hungry with only the soup, he also ordered the Beef Terryaki Bowl. Uh, yeah - that was huge, flavorful and delish as well. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was the perfect topper for his meal. Then came the Boba. If you've never had Boba or "Bubble" Tea before, you'd better sit down. They offer it with something like 10 -12 fruit choices. We ordered a pineapple to share which I soon regretted because I wanted it all to myself. But, that's married life. So here's the deal - it's green tea, fruit, and ice crushed like a smoothie and then at the bottom of the cup there are these delicious gooey almost gummy bear like tapioca pearls that have been soaked in brown sugar syrup (which is what also gives them their brown color). They serve it with an oversize straw so as you sip the smoothie, you occasionally get 1 or 2 of these delicious little balls of sweet chewy goodness in your mouth. It's insane. Just insane. The atmosphere is cool, open, modern, bright and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Yeah...good bye Green Mint...I will be dreaming of you until we meet again. It is called the Green Mint Rice $7.95 fluffy jasmine rice with fresh salad, house chili sauce, grilled pork & shrimp topped with a sunny side up egg incredible! We have had many fresh rolls but not as good as these, there bigger and with three whole shrimp and a nice slice of cucumber, vermicelli rice noodle, house peanut sauce. The beef Pho was outstanding as was the chicken Pho the fresh veggie that come with it so fresh. My granddaughter was so happy to have her own Baby Pho that was never offered any other Vietnamese restaurant. They have and outstanding tea bar and bubble tea that is amazing two of my favorites are the watermelon and mango. So if you are in Clearwater stop by they will not disappoint you!
