I should've figured this place wasn't great when I walked in and 97% of the staff was not Asian lol. Place smelled faintly of cat urine. Ordered the Chicken Chow Mein lunch special with lo mein noodles substituted and a side of egg rolls and wonton soup. The wonton soup had a weak broth and contained a lot of shredded lettuce, never seen that in a wonton soup before. The egg roll was eh. The chicken was cooked well, but the dish was more of a chicken soup than anything else. Barely any noodles and very broth-y tasting, as if it was cooked in canned chicken gravy. Definitely did not give Chinese food vibes, it was more like a fridge cleanout meal.The staff was nice, but kinda pushy about rushing you out the door. This was my first time here! Many moons ago there was a China King in Caro that I went to. Is this the same ownership? I believe it is, as the egg rolls that I remember seemed the same. Egg drop soup was excellent! I went with a safe go to...chicken and broccoli. It was very very good! Highly recommends this place for Chinese food. I love this restaurant. The last two times I've visited I've gotten shrimp entrees, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and yesterday I ordered Harr Kow. Both times the shrimp were overcooked. Also, the bean sprouts are too mature and their leaves are hard to get past. I usually take an egg roll, cut it up and add the Chinese veg to the eggroll, dressed with hot mustard and plum sauce. Makes a salad. I haven't been able to finish either due to the brown leaves on the over-ripe mung bean sprouts. Other than this, I love the place! read more

We were charged $16.15 for 4 people two in which were adults and two kids 11 and 14 and were charged $10.65 for an 8yr old What a freaking rip off!! We sat and pleaded w them to at least charge us $10 for the other two kids instead of an adult charge and they didn't care not one bit!! This place was recommended to me by a local. I was pretty excited to try it. I got there, the staff was friendly. I decided to go with the buffet instead of ordering something off the menu. I figured since it was 5pm the dinner rush is just beginning so everything would be hot and fresh. That was not the case. The rice was room temperature and sticking to itself, the fried rice, I'm pretty sure wasn't fried rice. I think it's just white rice with soy sauce all over it. The egg rolls, weren't warm to the touch on the outside, let alone on the inside, and bland. The tempura chicken was almost cold on the inside, like it had been left out not under any warming lamps or heat source of any kind. And everything else I tried was luke warm as well. When the waitress asked how everything was I told her "it's okay, everything is lukewarm or cold", she just kept on walking like I didn't say anything at all. Not an I'm sorry, I'll check with the kitchen, and see if we can get some fresh items. Not an I'll check the warming table to see if it the temp gauge was bumped accidentally. Nothing. The only good thing I can say is the soup they deliver to you was hot and flavorful. If you plan on eating there, I suggest ordering off of the menu so you know it's hot and fresh. read more

Just went there with my husband. Had the buffet and Won Ton soup. I thoroughly enjoyed the soup. But the buffet was smaller than most asian buffets. Wished the price was cheaper, not $12.50 / person. I can pay the same price at my back home asian buffet and get way more variety of buffet selections. Waitress was good, nothing bad to say about her. I went in here hoping for a flavorful experience, but left wanting more. The typical breaded stuff, which you could tell was battered and deep fried here, was just lacking seasonings of any kind. Their chicken had zero seasoning, and the batter was completely bland. It wasn't nasty, just had zero flavor. The egg rolls are on the bland side as well. Really everything was bland. I do not think I would return to this place. On a good note, one younger gentleman made sure the place was really clean. He was keeping the tables and chairs wiped down, and was doing an excellent job. When is the last time you went into a place and actually watched someone wipe the chairs down? I mean the whole chair.
