This used to be a decent place to eat. Not anymore. The Szechuan dishes are bland as a can of hominy. They seem to think that sprinkling a few red pepper flakes makes it "spicy". The order of General Tso's chicken seemed to be about half just bits of fried breading with no chicken in it. We are drove 34 miles round-trip to eat at China King and Union Missouri. We were going to eat in the restaurant got our food in front of us which look good but the problem was there was a child laying in the booth next to us coughing his head off and sneezing and going to the bathroom. his mother came to check on him. He was also coughing and gave him medicine. We decided not to stick around and get ourselves sick. Child has no business in this restaurant. FIRST OFF false advertising fr. Got the chicken chow mein and it said it came with noodles, IT DIDNT. Chow mein is most generally noodles and meat but this was a strange sticky sensation with this meat. It came with slimy chicken with onion and celery - EW. CHOW MEIN MORE LIKE CHOW NOT :( ok so that was bad but also my buddy got shrimp chow mein and got maybe 3 shrimp in the whole thing and it was also served in a strange slime. It wasn't fully bad tasting just not what I ordered. It came with white rice and it was overall worse than mid. Everything was delicious. The friendly cashier helped me with all the info I needed (I'd never been here before), which led to a VERY pleasant experience indeed. This place is great for delivery but not for dine-in. The staff was super friendly but also very busy with phone-in orders. Their soda machine's refrigerator was broken so there was no ice and the soda was warm. Ordered a house special Noodle which should be a quart size but they were our of those containers and just put some in a plate definitely not a quart. God, this place is terrible. The food is really sub-par. They use the same vegetables in every single dish, it's like they've never seen a recipe and don't know how to cook each dish. I don't want carrots, really thick under cooked onions and baby corn in my beef and broccoli. If this is your only option for Chinese food, make your own at home or drive to St Louis. read more

This is the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in. I should have turned around and left when I saw the glass front doors were so dirty and smeared up I could barely see through them. The cleanliness of this establishment only got worse once inside. The floors looked like they had never seen a mop, the tables needed to be bused and there was dust everywhere. In short this place needs to be scrubbed down from the ceiling to the floor. If the owners find filth to be acceptable, I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. To make things worse the service was slow and the food average. I will not be returning. read more

Everything I've ordered here has been delicious! With specific instructions, they've been very conscientious preparing food to accommodate a gluten allergy. My only suggestion to the owner/manager is to begin recovering the seats in the booths and doing some painting and staining woodwork inside the restaurant. Not only that they don't seem to be able to get the order correct and the price is not justified, customer service could be better too. Very disappointed. Restaurant was rated very high, but the food tasted as if the grill were dirty. Pot stickers (which I normally love) were just a large hunk of dough and a little piece of meat inside. The sauce which usually makes everything better was very salty and not the normally sweet taste. Not at all what I am accustomed to. Mongolian beef was ok, but not a lot of flavor. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!! My family and I decided to order from ,China King and have it delivered. I ordered Sweet and Sour Shrimp for myself. When the food arrived I did not receive shrimp I in fact got, Sweet and Sour Chicken. My husband called to discuss the issue and the person on the phone told him that it was my fault I received the wrong food. After being hung up on by the employee my husband called back.
