Great authentic Chinese's food for a reasonable price good customer service and amazing takeout time!

Food tasted great and was plentiful! Take out is preferable. Not much seating available.

I had family in wanting Chinese for lunch and found China kitchen on yelp. They had a very solid rating and I had to wait till I got back home to realize why! My order was made when I got there so I had a little bit of a wait, but all the ingredients were very fresh. All of the food we ordered, tasted fantastic, including the eggrolls. The service was friendly, and fast! The fried Wontons were amazing, some of the best I've ever had, and I eat a lot of American/Chinese food. The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is the generals Tsos chicken was lacking, not horrible but not something I'd eat again. I think they honestly just rushed my order since I was there to pick it up and didn't put the quality into it. I would still recommend this place, and will definitely attribute the dissatisfaction with a one off issue and not recurring. Give it a try and I know you won't be disappointed! read more

This is my first time at China Kitchen, but I've been to Lemongrass as well as Shangri-La in the area for Asian food. China Kitchen will be my new go to. I ordered two lunch specials which came out to $16. Each special comes with the entree, fried rice, and a spring roll Pepper Chicken - 5 , the pepper chicken was amazing. Nice spice, perfectly cooked and I loved the pieces of pepper and onion. They weren't super cooked down so you still got the crunch and flavor of the two. General Gaos - 4 , Wasnt really sweet enough to be called General Gaos IMO, it was almost like a koreany sauce it was in. It was still great and crispy, just not exactly what I was looking for Spring Rolls - 5 , I'm not the biggest spring roll guy but these were bussin Fried Rice - 4 , classic fried rice, but once again I appreciated the chunks of onion in it for taste and texture. Next time I will try the pork fried though I think for that little extra sumn sumn Service - 5 , the lady working the counter was super nice, friendly, and talkative. There's no indoor seating right now and they have a barrier around the counter for COVID, but she was nothing but the best. Food was ready in 15 minutes too. read more

We tried China Kitchen for the first time last night. After reading the reviews, I ordered the bourbon chicken. I was disappointed. It was extremely tough and over cooked. Definitely inedible had to throw it away. We ordered it pretty late due to our work schedules not sure if it was leftovers from earlier that day but it surely was not fresh. Tried this place for the first time tonight and I'm so glad I did! I've been disappointed with a lot of the Chinese restaurants in Columbus but my first experience here was great! I got the black pepper chicken dinner combo with veggie fried rice and an egg roll. I also got an order or Chinese donuts. The black pepper chicken was SO good! I asked for it extra crispy and it was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender meat on the inside with crispy skin and the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! A lot of Chinese places in town another everything in sauce and it just gets soggy and gross but this place did it just right. The egg roll and donuts were also delicious and the service was great! Food was prepared quickly too! The only reason I gave four stars is because the fried rice didn't really have any flavor and was just okay. This is our favorite local Chinese take out. There's nothing fancy about it, but they don't pretend to be more than they are. It's always fresh and ready within 10 minutes of calling an order in. You get a lot of food for the price, and they pack the containers full. read more

I stumbled onto China Kitchen driving by the area. It is next to the new Piggly Wiggly center. The place is clean and it appears to a small, family run Chinese takeout establishment. The prices are reasonable for the portions. The food leans a bit on the Americanized Chinese food side of things but that is to be expected due to its location. I suspected this going in so I had no false illusions or disappointments. If I wanted authentic Chinese food, it would have to be somewhere else. I have ordered takeout from China Kitchen a few times and satisfied with what I got. It is not a place you take on a date. It is a place you order from when you want Chinese food quickly and willing to take it home with you. I am willing to give China Kitchen 4-stars for what it is. It doesn't pretend to be something it is not. It does a good job serving the nearby neighborhood customers and their tastes. I tend to order more exotic items but I thought the restaurant did a fair job in meeting my expectations. It is worth stopping by for some quick, inexpensive Chinese takeout. read more

First time going here, and definitely won't be my last. I just moved here about a year ago and have been on the hunt for good chinese food that compares to the place from my hometown. After a couple unsuccessful tries, I finally found this place and am so glad I did! The food was so good and the restaurant itself was very clean. I got the sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and fried rice. The rice was a little undercooked but not to the point that it was inedible and overall everything was really good! I ordered take out (obviously) and it was already ready when I got there, and was still piping hot and the chicken was crispy when I got home 20 min later! Not to mention the woman working at the front was so sweet. 10/10 so good and highly recommend if you're looking for good quality fast service and food, will definitely be back! read more
