Traveling through GA we decided to eat at this korean place because we hadn't had good Korean food in a while & the reviews were not all bad. First thing, it's not in a particularly nice area but it wasn't too bad during the time that we went. When we walked in we immediately noticed how hot & humid it was in the restaurant. There was no crowd & only one couple dining in at the time. We were greeted immediately & the server was very nice. The restaurant did not serve fountain drinks so we all had no choice but to get bottled or canned drinks which was kind of odd. Due to us being familiar with Korean cuisine, we did not need help with the menu & ordered: bibimbop, chop chae, bulgogi & beef fried rice. All of the dishes, including the side dishes were very good & we enjoyed all of them. The only dislike I had was that the fried rice had alittle too much sesame oil. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 is because it was a bit pricey for the portions that we recieved & because it was just unrealistically hot in the restaurant, but we probably just went on a day the a/c was not working properly. We normally order Korea House for Korean in Columbus but when we were craving Korean food this weekend, Seoul Garden was the only place open and available for delivery so we decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did! I didn't get a photo of everything because we devoured our side dishes, gyoza, and egg rolls immediately! The egg rolls were okay, not bad but not the best. The side dishes and gyoza were excellent. The samgyupsal (pork belly) was very good as well! The chicken fried rice had unexpectedly delicious grilled chicken in it, though the fried rice itself was a little lackluster. Overall, it was a solid eating experience and we will definitely order from here again to try more of the menu! read more

I placed an order on the phone for beef fried rice and the sides that normally come with the food. I got the prices off of Doordash, thinking maybe id pay 18-19 dollars. I picked up in the store and the side dishes were the same price as the entree. The entree was priced more than it was advertised. in total, I spent $28 for beef fried rice and kimchi sides. Casual, good quality korean food. Menu has a lot of variety, we opted for entrees rather than kbbq. Generous amount of food, def would have left overs. Side dishes are refillable! 4 of the 7 are spicy, but my fav was the brown fishcake and the bean sprouts. The appetizer, seafood pancake, was good, but on the more greasy side. But the fishy taste came through well, not to overwhelming. I got the Dolsot Bibimbab which is basically rice, veggies, and beef in a hot bowl. VERY hot, couldn't taste it sometimes. But good seasoning. Michael got the Galbitang Soup or Kalbi Soup. Def my favorite, it was refreshing and savory and the meat was tender. The was only one woman serving so you sometimes have to get up and ask her for refills on something. But she was very sweet. Clean restaurant and music is top 50's pretty sure. We have a Korean place we always go to when traveling through Columbus but they are closed on sundays so we figured we would try this place after reading through the reviews I have to say I was nervous, but i was pleasantly surprised. My son dad is korean, raised traditional korean by his parents so he knows korean food. I read a few one star reviews saying it's not traditional korean that is 1000% false. One, you have to understand not all korean food is the same this is "country" korean as my sons dad says. So what you'd get in the cities of Korea would be different then the country side parts of korean. Most who visit Korea don't go to the country side unless you have family who live there. Spam & the hot dogs side dishes, as someone posted, is traditional for the country side korean food. We had korean stew and the korean pancake all the typical side dishes. Everything was great, service was great they loved our son and they were very attentive. We did go during a slow time so idk about busy times but if you frequent traditional korean restaurants you know what to expect. The ladies are korean and they are not going to dumb down their food for Americans who don't seem to know about korean food. The strip mall here seems to be the 'ethnic' zone of Columbus, if you can call it that. There seems to be a little bit of everything. The sign out front advertises Oriental food and there's a list of Japanese type foods as well as cheap Chinese takeout type food-chicken wings and fried rice, chicken terriyaki type of stuff. I came here for the real stuff though, the actual Korean food. While this place doesn't have the table cooking station but if their sul lung tang their soup made from boiling beef bones and brisket. Their broth was clear not milky, white-which I've seen before at this place in LA-that was known for their sul lung tang, not quite as good but still tasty-it actually reminded me a lot of pho because their soup had nice long cuts of brisket and even had tendons. Their side dishes were all pretty good, nothing fancy or exotic but just a solid working class set of kimchi, sprouts and fish cakes. The owners were very friendly-I thought at first they spoke with me because I was Korean but there was a family there and a foreign student and they doted on the baby boy when he started crying. I wouldn't go there for barbecue-mostly because I like to be able to cook my own meat at the table but for solid Korean dishes I'd come here. read more

So, not the best Korean I've eaten (ever)but it is the best I've found in good ok' Columbus! The food was actually pretty decent and came out relatively quick. The side dishes were plenty and the main course came out like I thought it would. The other nice thing about this place was the variety of options that it gives the customer who may be craving Asian cuisine but don't know exactly what. It's a good place to get your fix when you need it. Now with all that said.. I will mention that there were several large dead cockroaches in the bathroom and the sanitation of this place requires a lot of work. I would not be surprised if they got a below average rating if someone was to do a surprise visit. While the food was good (hence two stars), I will not return to this place because of potential health issues. read more

Korean food is one of my favorite cuisines. Hands down, this is one of the best Korean restaurants I've ever eaten at. The food is authentic Korean food, the service is amazing, and the prices are right! The woman working served us some soju and mixed it with a delicious Korean juice! Never had it before, but it was so good! The short ribs were amazing, and the bulgogi is some of the best I've had. They serve you 6-8 different sides with your meal, and they are all really good. it's not much to look at from the outside. It's in a run-down strip mall location, just outside of the Fort Benning gate (Lumpkin), but the food is fabulous. The owners are a Korean couple who knows how to cook authentic cuisine. For starters, we got the dumplings and a seaweed salad. It tasted wonderful and it was my first time trying seaweed salad. I went with one of the specials they advertised on the door. It was either the chicken terriyaki or omlette rice. Good thing the lady told me to get the chicken terriyaki. The fried rice was perfect, and the chicken was served at a super-hot temperature and was char-grilled on the outside, yet tender on the inside. My friends got the traditional dishes of kalbi (short ribs) and bulgolgi (beef), both came on a sizzling plate. The meat was seasoned spicy on request, and was awesome. The serving sizes are larger enough that you might not be able to finish it all. These dishes were served with several small side dishes of things like spicy kim chee, pickled cucumbers, tofu strips, marinated beans, and some small dried shrimp. I like how they don't rush you out of there by taking all of your plates away. I would love to go here again when the Korean/Japanese food craving comes up again. read more

I am from Bay Area, California and traveled all over plus LA for good Korean food. I was here in Columbus for military training and was craving some Korean..damn this place is a hidden gem. Don't let the exterior deceive you, the interior is simple and clean. The service was average (I will explain later). I had the spicy tofu soup with beef and it was tasty and flavorful, just disappointed it didn't come with a side of rice. Not the worst Korean I've ever had but definitely not the best. We got bulgogi. The sauce was overly sweet and the meat was not cut well. The banchan was pretty good, especially the kimchi. I didn't really like the way the zucchini tasted but that's just my taste. I was surprised when the server brought us salads before our meal. It's a nice touch but they were a little odd; white cabbage shreds with a couple of slices of tomato and what tasted like ranch dressing. Probably the restaurant with the best variety of Korean food in Columbus. I got the Yukgaejang and Ddukbokki (the latter for my husband and I to share). Yukgaejang was delicious, bold flavors in a stew that was perfect for when I had it. Their banchan are also pretty good. But man, the ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes) were fantastic. Just like the ones I had in Korea. I wish this place wasn't so far from where I live, or I'd probably be here on a regular basis. read more

This place is pretty legit when it comes to Korean food. They do have a selection of Japanese and Chinese food also on the menu. I got #10, Kimchi Jige which is a tofu, pork and veggie spicy soup. It's absolutely delish if you've got a cold coming on. Tofu was cooked enough just enough that if soaked in the flavorful broth but wasn't falling apart. It comes with 6 side dishes also known as ban chan and came out bubbling hot in a stone bowl with rice. I'd come back to try out their other dishes. Kind of on the pricy side for kalbi/short ribs but I'm sure it's worth it. read more

David and I, along with our friends Ken and Nancy, found this restaurant while driving around looking for a place to eat before a Columbus Cottonmouths game, and I am so glad we did. The service is attentive and friendly. When we walked in, we were greeted by the entire family that runs the place--lots of hellos and welcomes. Very nice. Seoul Korean provides a bevy of panchan: radish, broccoli, kim chi, picked veggies of all sorts, and more I can't remember. If I had to list all that is good about Korean cuisine, panchan would be at the top of that list. IMHO, panchan are Korean food's genius. We ordered a vegetable pajun (pancake the size of a dinner plate) as an appetizer. Vegetarians beware--the vegetable pajun has seafood. David loved it, as did Ken and Nancy. David, Nancy, and Ken had Korean BBQ (bulgogi) and pronounced it very good. The cook made me an all veggie soup, which was tomatoey and spicy. All in all, we lucked out in finding this place. This is probably my favorite Korean/Asian spot in Columbus that I've been too (admittedly only a couple). Every time I go in it seems like this place is empty, which once you've tried the food you will realize it's not a bad thing at all! The service is always super fast with your typical appetizer spread of dishes. The older lady (also the cook) is very friendly and happy to explain anything you have a question about, while the older gentlemen is always very nice - however, he can be a little pushy when it comes to your menu choices so be ready for that in advance and stick to what you want! The food is always great, with large portions for the price. Also to note, while it is "Seoul Korean" it also offers a variety of Asian cuisine choices in case you are feeling like trying something a little different, or your favorite dish that you have to get no matter where you go. If you are in Columbus and anywhere near the Infantry Museum or even don't mind the drive, check this place out. I've never taken someone there and been disappointed! read more

We had the sangyupsal - the lady brought out a little portable butane stove burner with the necessary materials to allow us to cook it ourselves and enjoy a great meal. the best korean restaurant i've been to in columbus. i've tried korea house and koreana (near the airport). finally! food... i went with my husband and friend and we started off with the ddukbokgee (spicy rice cake) and it tasted better than my mom's. the portion is pretty huge, so it was a good appetizer for 3, probably better for 4. it was also pretty spicy, but an addicting spicy! i ordered the chicken katsu (kinda like country fried chicken asian style) and it was pretty good. i've never eaten bad katsu, so i can't compare, but i'd definitely get it again. my husband got the soondubu (tofu soup). i'm not a soodubu fan, but my husband is and he enjoyed it. we ordered sullungtang (beef broth soup) for his friend, and he really liked it. oh, and i can't forget all the banchan! they had a wide variety and everything was really good. service... the service was really good. however, we were the only customers there for most of our meal, but she was attentive and courteous. she speaks english and korean, which was good for me because i can barely speak even though i am korean. she even explained the banchan to our white friend, which i haven't seen at other restaurants. she refilled anything we finished, but wasn't too intrusive, which was great. i hate waiters/waitresses that bother you all the time. value... they have lunch specials for 6.95 that include korean bbq, which i think is pretty good. korean bbq regardless of when you get it is usually the more pricey items. i haven't tried it though, but she said it was good! the other items are also decently priced. overall... i will definitely be going back multiple times before i leave ga for good. if you're looking for good, cheap korean food... this is definitely the place to go. i'll make sure to take pictures next time i go. =) read more

I went there last Saturday and the food was not that good. I ordered and appetizer of egg rolls and spring rolls. The Spring rolls were still frozen inside. When I bit into it I got a mouthful of ice. The Galbi was tasteless. The flavor improved once I added soy sauce. The ice tea had a real strange taste in which I had order soda. In addition to the ice tea I ordered hot green tea. The tea had something in it that resembled brown rice or other type of grain. When I poured it into the cup you could see the unidentifiable items floating in the tea. I did not drink it. My partner had the bulgogi and stir fried rice. He got white rice after midway through the meal he was asked if he still wanted the stir fried rice, in which he replied no. He did not like the hot tea or sweet tea and ordered soda also. The total cost for the mediocre food plus was over $60.00. I will never ever go there again. The whole dining experience sucked. read more

Five star food, five star service, five star cleanliness. This place has a typical diner feel walking in on a Sunday afternoon but the food quality is impeccable. I ordered the orange chicken which unannounced came with delicious vegetables and rice that is impossible to beat. I have a lot more to explore on the menu if I was staying longer.
