Consistently good. I've had lost things on the menu and everything seems to be excellent. The only reason for the four stars is that the customer service is spotty at best. Boy o boy is it difficult to find good Chinese Food. Well here it is.. This place is so consistent every time!! Wonton Soup very flavorful, steamed dumplings perfect every time with the perfect dipping sauce with great flavor. Every meal has been great. Service is always consistent. I drove 30 minutes because of the reviews, I wish I could write a good one but that's not the case. The chicken was not cooked all the way. The more I looked at I realized it wasn't real chicken. Food was great I got boneless spare rib tips and bourbon as well as beef and broccoli wings and ragoons, the ragoons 10/10 they taste great and filled well, the egg rolls are AMAZING i love egg rolls, pork fried rice had a ton of flavor 9/10, bsrt were a 7/10, bourbon was 10/10, the beef and broccoli could of been better but was still pretty good 6.5/10 great service they were very nice read more

Food was absolutely disgusting. The lo mein tasted like burnt oily fish. The general Tao's was rubbery, not fully cooked and in a disgusting red sauce. The crab rangoons were dry. The food was so bad we brought it back and asked for our money back. The lady fought with us saying she couldn't refund us for the crab rangoons as we ate one. Well how the hell else are we going to try the food if we don't take a bite? Next time just spit the chewed food back into the container before you return it here!!!! Terrible. read more

This is the WORST Chinese food I have ever tasted. I couldn't eat it. I can honestly say that this is the worst food I ever attempted to eat. I called, told them how horrible it was. I asked if they wanted me to bring it back and the woman said "no, no, no, I remember you." So I took the receipt and drove 30 minutes back to the restaurant and they refused to refund my money because I didn't have the food. I threw it away because they told me too. So now I'm out the money and still have nothing to feed my family. I honestly believe that they wanted the food back to reheat in the wok and resell. Be very wary of this place. read more

China Mac looks like a normal Chinese Restaurant but China Max is a great take out Chinese place. China Max has great food the food containers are packed full with delicious food. The food smells absolutely amazing and the food is always hot and steaming even when i get home. Literally ordered a "happy family" was told it would have shrimps and scallops with mini corn looking things (cant remember the name) and other veggies....tastes great...no corn, ONE shrimp and NO scallops. What's even more sad...this food wasn't even for me. Im vegetarian and got this for my boyfriend. What a pathetic dinner to bring home. Was a decent place at first but has just gone downhill since and that's within months. The kid at the front is nice but the food has been just awful. On 12/3 we got chicken/broccoli combo and boneless spare ribs combo and 2 soups and the soups were actually inedible. The hot and sour tasted like what a dirty shoe smells like and the chicken rice soup has broth that was just hot water. The spare ribs were burnt and not sauced the chicken w broccoli was ok. I ordered fried rice for white no big deal but the entire experience was awful. Also the prices are absurd for the amount of food you get. And last but not least the egg rolls were fried to death. I thought we found a reliable place but I was wrong. When I was leaving last night I had a couple even confront me and told me to check my food because they were giving wrong orders to people. Hard to find good chinese anywhere near The Villages. Oh... you can find the typical greasy, flavorless, chinese, but not a good take out. So, I traveled the 15+ miles to this place. The wife ordered the chicken with mixed veggies, no bell peppers. I ordered the beef with mixed veggies (spicy), no onions or green peppers, along with an egg roll. Ate the egg roll on the drive. It was nice to see locals come in who knew the people there. Very encouraging. The food came exactly as ordered (yipee) and was very good. The best sit down Chinese place I've ever been to outside of dim sum joints in major metropolitan cities... they care about the food they serve, and it shows from the quality of their product... a really popular spot for business lunches, as it turns out, tons of people in suits there at lunch rush. We just moved to the Belleview area and we are trying to find a good Chinese take-out restaurant. China Max was just that, some of the things we got were better than others. We thought the vegetable lo mein and the bourbon chicken were by far the best out what we ordered. The lo mein was filled with veggies like carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, onions. The bourbon chicken was tender and had lots of extra sauce, which I love. We got a couple egg rolls and a side order of vegetable fried rice, which were good but nothing special. The Mongolian beef had a good flavor but it had way too many onions in it, more onions than beef even! And my boyfriend loves onions, he will even order extra at times. But this dish had even too many for him, so that says something. He did like his crab Rangoon though and I also thought it was pretty tasty too. I have ordered from this China Max dozens of times over the years but it has been awhile with COVID going on. First, I must say, they have a touchless pay set up for their customers and the front ordering counter has been shielded from the rest of the kitchen. I ordered a few things : Krab Rangoon, Hot and Sour soup, Beef w/ Broccoli, Pork Egg Foo Young, Boneless Spareribs, General Tso' s Chicken, Beef Szechuan, Pork Fried Rice, and egg rolls. The portions are very generous. Every thing tasted fresh AND delicious . I have never encountered subpar meals from here. I read one review, where the customer complained about the person answering the phone. Well, to be very honest, it can be hard to be perfect every phone call, especially working long hours which I'd guess these employees do every day. My only complaint, and it is minor : The Krab Rangoons tasted like the oil they were cooked in wasn't quite hot enough. They didn't have the usual crunch, but as I usually do, I ate a few of them on the way home anyway. Still good, just missing the crunch As per every visit, I give them 5 STARS !!!!! I'll never order from then again. Ordered $40 worth of food for pickup. Husband got home and they didn't have his steamed veggies, only thing he eats. And they gave us something different. Pork fried rice wasn't cooked either. It's like they threw white rice and some veggies in the wok for a minute and threw it in the box. Called and I could hear the man screaming in the back trying to validate himself. Chicken in the messed up dish was undercooked. I was afraid to eat any of it honestly. I've had food poisoning from a Chinese place before. After I called the second time I just asked for a refund. Even offered to drive the food back to the store and waste my gas. They refused. I called my bank and made a claim. Husband is driving there now to leave the food at their door. Poor customer service and we have eaten there few times during COVID, trying to help keep the local businesses afloat. Not ever again. read more

Best in Belleview!! We tried for the first time a week ago and about to order for the 3rd time tonight. Everything was very fresh. Had fried dumplings the first night and will be a regular part of our order. Beef with Broccoli, Kung Pao Chicken, Hunan Beef and quite a few other dishes. We have yet to find a dish we don't like. They were very quick on their call in orders. They say 10 minutes and it is ready when I get there. Great service. They were very nice. read more

Cold Food When I got home and took a half hour to get my food. Nasty place now there is new people running it.....
