My husband and I recently tried China One, as we had been fairly disappointed in the other local Chinese cuisine restaurants in the surrounding area. The interior is extremely nice, well kept and clean. We have two small children, and as soon as we sat down the waitress brought over a highchair which was extremely helpful, as husband from experience with other places, has had to go hunt them down. Each staff member was extremely attentive, polite and professional. Waters and drinks were continuously refilled before wondering where our waiter was...and LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE FOOD. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. The portions were massive (enough to take home and have a second meal later on) and the taste was anything but bland. I have been to the place twice and have had excellent food and service. Tonight I decided to mix things up and order delivery. I ordered Shrimp Chop Suey and Vegetable Fried Rice. And boy was I impressed. Absolutely delicious. Yes the wait time is a little longer than ordering a pizza. But my dinner is absolutely amazing. We walked in at 8 on a saturday. I have been here many times before and the door clearly states the hours of operation. Friday, Saturday and sunday they close at 10. (Even states it on yelp) my buddy and i walk up and the first greeting we are given is this is to go right? I ask what time they close and he says 9:30. I said the door says 10. He then in return says something so fast with that I couldn't even begin to understand and then says they close at that time to clean. Don't try and kick customers out two hours before you close when your door and yelp CLEARLY state when you're open till . I was looking forward to sitting down and eating there, but they pretty much rushed us out and all the employees were laughing and running around the shop also. Then having to eat in the car... If I could rate a zero I would .... can't believe it I'm still trying to wrap my head around it .. so we place a first time order with this restaurant , and it was a 40 order not also to mention . Well we ordered delivery as offered on their site the delivery guy gets here and no hello or anything he just started to yell at me " you order here before we won't ever deliver to you again you are six miles away and that's to far you never order here again we won't do it " and I'm shocked at the hostility coming from the driver , then he hands me the receipt to sign and I give back to him he has the nerve to say " you not going to tip me , you going to not tip me " as I responded to him " no not after the way you attacked me sir no I'm not " and he says " cheap never" wow . I proceeded to call the restaurant to advise them of the incident because I would want to know if someone was so disrespectful to my customers...and come to find out the driver was the OWNER, smh I couldn't believe it . Great BBQ Pork. Possibly the worst fried rice I've ever had. The flavor and texture was hardly anything different than steamed white rice. No wok texture, hardly any flavor at all... Almost as if had never been in a wok at all... and only drizzled with soy or something. Just dreadful... The chow mein noodles weren't much better. Completely awful experience. We've ordered China One delivery several times & it's always been good. Large portions, fresh and hot, and delicious. Their Won Ton soup and Mongolian Beef are the best! NEVER had a bad dish. The ONLY drawback is that they use too much oil in some of their noodle dishes. Egg rolls are stuffed with great veggies and done right. Their service is spot on! read more

I have purchased to-go food a couple of times. The last time I was not very satisfied with the food or the portions. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken from the regular menu since I wanted a bigger portion than the lunch deal. It was more like a bed of mixed vegetables with a few pieces of barely cooked pale chicken strips and a side of teriyaki sauce. For $9+per dish I rather enjoy a well served plate of food at PF Changs. Will not be back! read more

Delicious and so worth the money. One order can easily feed two to three people. Delivery took about an hour but it was worth the wait. I got the orange chicken, fried rice and fried wontons. This place is great! When I called there was no english barrier, Adam took my order spoke perfect English I do not think as a previous poster said they were rude. It is not true you have to try your self....The prices are beyond great. A lunch special for $6.25, is very low, the portion is BIG, I mean lot of food for your dollar. The portions are awesome, the prices amazing, service great. They just open you can't expect things to flow smoothly that quickly anywhere. But I am sure they will fixed the small issue, no place is perfect but least they are trying hard to provide the best Chinese food in Temecula area. Still not sure whether to like this place or not yet. I liked that their food comes in large portions. Their spicy chicken wings is the only thing I would recommend tho. Egg drop soup and general chicken didn't really have any flavor to it. Bland and oily. Rice was obviously not fresh. Service was on the iffy side. Girl with the glasses was not very friendly and couldn't really offer any recommendations as far as what their more popular options are since this was my first time coming in to China One. Might return to give them a second chance and try their boba. Hopefully the girl with the glasses will not be at the register to take my order tho. read more

My wife and I have wanted to try this restaurant and finally did tonight. The orange chicken tasted over done like the chicken had been cooked earlier in the day. The chicken and snow peas was good. Remembered why I hadn't returned in a few months. Ordered online (website said food ready in 10 mins). Arrived 15 mins after placing order, waited an extra 15 mins for food to be ready. People who just came in after me received their order before mine. Service was slow, only 6 people were in restaurant so I can't day they were overwhelmed. Food was OK, overpriced very greasy food. I gotta say this place is mediocre at best. One night I was all excited to try this restaurant you know it's new woo hoo! Anyway when I arrived there I was a bit confused as to wether it was a sit down restaurant, place an order and choose a table or what? But I noticed a line of people on the left hand side leading to the front so I thought ok let's wait in this line and order, so I finally get to the front, placed my order, sat at a table and waited for my food. As I'm waiting I just see the main manager chef looking guy just falling apart trying to tell his workers to hurry up in the kitchen and while that's going down customers are up there telling them they were charged incorrectly on their bill or something was missing etc it was a complete mess. I can only imagine what chef Gordon Ramsey would have done if he was there, they definitely needed someone of his magnitude to restore this place after all that chaos that was brought upon them that night lol. I eventually receive my food and it's to go, and I did not want my food to go, but I said oh well and shrugged it off and continued to sit at the table, I then tried my entree and it was just mediocre it tasted really bland no flavor to it and by the looks of the texture It was probably frozen and warmed up but I managed to finish it because I was really hungry. As I'm leaving then they decide to throw a guy at the front and start greeting people asking them where they would like to sit hahah man my experience there was just complete mess, it was basically like watching a shipwreck from start to finish read more

I started coming here shortly after they opened. Their lunch specials were a bargain and the taste was wonderful . It was some of the best Chinese food that I've found in Temecula . I recommended them to friends as a must try . The reason for my one star rating is two bad experiences. The first of the these negative experiences was due to a staff member who upon delivering my food said " I cut my hand, I hope I didn't bleed in your food" I still feel the urge to vomit when I think of that day. The second experience was after that day. I waited for 15 minutes (yes I timed it) had sat down at a table. No one greeted me, approached me, acknowledged me. Others who had come in after me were given menus and had placed orders . Or at worst at least acknowledged. It wasn't till the person in charge and I made eye contact as I was getting up to leave did he finally notice me. By then it was too late. It's a shame they started off so well. I was excited to try this place out when I heard they delivered in my area. It was hard to place my order over the phone due to a language barrier, but that is not the reason for the one star review. We ordered the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, chicken chow mein, rice, and potstickers. The food was bland, had barely any sauce, and the potstickers you buy frozen in the store tasted better than these did. The food was soooo awful that I could not even force myself to eat it as hungry as I was. I decided to drive the food back to the store and ask for a full refund. Which if you knew me was a big deal since I hate to complain, and am far too lazy to actually drive the food back to the restaurant after just having it delivered. When I got to the store, the manager did not even come over to ask why I was returning the food, he simply instructed the cashier to just give me my money back. Needless to say I will never return here again. If you are looking for good chinese, I suggest Fanny's Wok down the street instead. read more

I enjoy the food here! My family enjoys shrimp in black bean sauce, shrimp in lobster sauce, asparagus and shrimp, and my personal favorite: the #79...it comes with tons of veggies, chicken, egg, shrimp (you can add extra shrimp for a few bucks more) all in Rice Noodles...and you get A LOT! The spicy chicken wings are a nice added bonus appetizer too, as are the pot stickers! You get 8 of those chicken wing segments on a bed of cabbage and spicy peppers....YUMMY! We have tried several dishes there, and we have not had a bad one yet! If you do go, go for the food...it would be nice if the staff were alittle more personable, if the bathroom was not unisex, and if the place was bigger (it gets packed at lunch!), but all the hardworking folks there are busy working and cooking the food up fresh to order...nobody is chillin or standing around out in the open on a smoke break that we've ever seen! So, I think if they change anything, it just won't be the same! read more
