We walked up to order & took our food to go. We ordered common Thai dishes- noodles and red curry. Noodles were tasty, chicken was tender. I had the red curry, great flavors & right amount of spice. Their scale is out of 5 and I got a 4- so it was spicy. I didn't care for the bamboo shoots in my curry so I might ask about that next time I order. Can't wait to try their other curry. The mango sticky rice wasn't bad, had the right amount of sweet. The mangos were ripe but the rice might have been a little dry for my preference. Definitely going back to try more of their food and ordering over the phone now that I've been inside. The vibe was quiet inside, and it's not a server type of customer service. The food here is very good! They portions are large. We went for lunch. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Then they bring the food out to you. It's just a basic Mom and Pop place. It's fairly small inside, nothing fancy, but the food flavor is definitely worth it. This just might be our new favorite Thai place in the area. read more

The food and prices are pretty decent here. I've never dined in but have ordered through GrubHub twice. So I can't speak for the dining experience or any service or lack there of. So the 1st time I ordered in February, the food came lopsided like they had it tilted in the bag but okay no problem since it wasn't something that contained any liquids so I didn't mind. It was actually pretty good. We got the beef drunken noodles (which was what was lopsided in the container), sticky rice, papaya salad, and beef salad (which spilled a little but not too much). They were smart enough to bag the papaya salad up in a bag and put inside the container. I also requested the papaya salad be Lao style and they didn't charge me for that. Fast forward to recently 2-3 weeks ago I ordered again and man this time I was pissed! Ordered spring rolls, papaya salad, drunken noodles, and Thai fried rice. I also ordered the papaya salad Lao style again which this time they added a charge to my order for when they didn't the other time. Also whichever idiot packed the papaya salad that is filled with not only a bunch of liquid but a bunch of fermented juices like PADEK and NAM PLA! Did not put it in a bag and just put it in an open container. That genius also put that container on the top of everything and tried to fit all 4 stupid containers in 1 bag so the papaya salad that was on top of everything spilled all inside the bag. Not only that but it leaked everywhere I'm sure in the driver's car as well. It leaked on my front door and all the way until I ran with the bag to my sink. Learn how to pack or stop being cheap and get some decent containers for the stuff that needs special attention! Everything was drenched in PADEK and dripped all over my floor! Good thing it wasn't real Lao style being dark and funky. I hate to give such a low rating because their food is actually pretty good. But man, get it together! read more

I had to guinea pig this place for a friend because we had a terrible experience at another Thai restaurant previously. After I vetted and gave it my seal of approval, I invited her out to lunch. She treated me to some of the best Thai food I've had in years: egg rolls, calamari (bomb), beef pad see ew, Thai fries rice with beef (even more bomb), shrimp pad Thai and panang curry with chicken. Everything was flavorful and so delicious. After our huge meal, I ordered us a Thai iced coffee (so good) and their mango sticky rice (don't skip on this), we had to roll ourselves out of there! I have ordered from the restaurant for years. They are hands down the best Thai restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, the customer service could use some help. I order from DoorDash quite some time back but I chose pick up instead of delivery to save some money since I was in the area. Mind you, I was ordering $100 plus orders a few times a month at minimum for years. That's how much I love this place. In any case, I get to the restaurant to pick up my order and the male owner is not happy with me because it apparently costs them money when you order through DoorDash and you pick up. I didn't know that. I apologize but I'm thinking...then don't offer that. Time passes and I am still ordering from the restaurant very often and always over $100. They give me a card with their delivery service information on it. I decide one night I'm going to try it. I figure, I'll give it a shot still thinking about the admonishment I received for using DoorDash on that one fateful night. I place my order and I see their service is using Uber for the delivery. Not my Uber, not Uber through Instacart....some other Uber connection. I'm waiting on my very expensive order to be picked up and it's taking a long time. I'm watching the driver spinning in the parking lot for a good half hour. Then, suddenly, the driver leaves the parking lot per the GPS and I get a notification that they canceled my order. Now, not only am I out over $100, I'm not the the dinner I ordered my family, the store is closed, and I am out of luck. There's no recourse. I email the restaurant with no response. I respond to the automatic messaging I get asking "how they did" and how I liked my order. Didn't get it! I had to try to dispute the charge and my bank said I had to wait for them to do something on their end. They refunded me a partial payment and kept $20.86 for an order that I never received. I now have to call the bank and dispute over the phone because they think the restaurant did right by me. It's been weeks and I've had zero response to my concerns voiced to the restaurant directly. I don't know too many customers that spend between $1000 and $2000 a year on one favorite Thai restaurant, but as of now...Tasty Thai has lost a customer that would sing their praises to anyone who ever asked for a Thai food recommendation in this area. That pretty bad business and even worse customer service. Such a shame! read more

Because Tasty Thai is the only place in the area that actually makes real authentic Thai food, I was afraid that I would have to compete with all the Thai noobs for seat time. After having tried all of the other local Thai places, Tasty Thai is only place that stays true to authenticity including offering authentic spice levels. Honestly, I can't eat Thai food anywhere else. My favorites are the Thai basil ground chicken with fried egg and the green curry. The veggie eggrolls are also addictive being perfectly crispy on the outside while the insides melt in your mouth. They are so good you can't even tell you're eating vegetables. The fried rice also has the perfect amount of smokiness expertly imparted by their expert chefs. Delicious food and great portions. We have gotten take out several times and have never been disappointed. Service is always quick and courteous, and the food is usually ready well before the stated time. Despite getting takeout, we've never done a sit down lunch or dinner here so I can't say much about the ambiance. One thing I'd like to see is the tom yum soup served WITHOUT tomatoes and WITH shrimp as standard. It's strange to me that there are tomato chunks and no shrimp and that it costs extra to add shrimp. We are new to Thai food only having eaten it in the Bay Area a few times and recently in Seattle. Culinary daredevils we are we ventured into Tasty Thai Cuisine for lunch. This establishment has customers order at the counter, pay and then find their seat. This setup also leads to the prepayment of the gratuity. A practice that allows their staff additional money no matter how the service was. Drinks are self serve in little plastic glasses. Plastic silverware, napkins and paper plates round out the sit down dining experience. Our order included shrimp spring rolls for the appetizer along with Chicken Pad Thai and Basil Beef for our lunch. Hot entrees come out first and spring roll appetizer follows 8 minutes later. Condiments such as chili oil and spicy fish sauce is near the drink station, serve yourself in tiny plastic containers. Entrees come in styrofoam containers or plastic containers. I guess they don't have a dishwasher. Basil beef had a good flavor but only a few pieces of meat and an awful lot of juice for 16 dollars. The Pad Thai was a bit sweet but still tasty and a decent portion for 16. The spring rolls were mostly salad and my wife felt the peanut sauce was too much on the sweet side for her taste. They rang the register at 12 dollars. We had to clean our own table so don't really know why there was a suggested tip. Lunch at Tasty Thai Cuisine was indeed a 3 star experience. Our return has more to do with us trying other Thai places for comparison. If we return at least I will know the lay of the land and not be subjected to any surprises. read more

I recently visited this restaurant for the second time, hoping my first experience was just a one-time issue, but unfortunately it was not. The food is average at best, but the service is unbelievably poor. The staff is rude, unfriendly, and lacks even basic customer service. No smiles, no friendliness, not even a simple "thank you." On both visits, the experience was exactly the same. At times, they will only offer takeout instead of allowing customers to dine in, which comes across as lazy and unprofessional. I gave this place a second chance, but I will not be returning. I would recommend saving your money and going somewhere else that actually values its customers. read more

We actually got a great deal using UberEats with Instacart+ and I'm so glad we did. You get a free order of egg rolls when you spend like $30+. I recommend it! We were greeted immediately when we walked in and they showed us where you pick up food, but it started raining so we asked if she could grab us a serving spoon so we could eat there. She was super nice and grabbed us some plates and two serving spoons. I love how the tables are made for big parties, but you can also have it still be kind of intimate too. We ordered Pad Thai (spicy level 5), yellow curry (spicy level 5), fried rice (spicy level 3), & egg rolls. There was SO MUCH food! We had plenty left over after we had our fill. I don't like leaving negative reviews. It just wasn't what I expected. The reviews were all glowing so I gave it a try. I love cream cheese won tons and these tasted like heavily fried curdled old cream cheese with hardly any onion flavor and definitely zero sweetness. The chow mein was undercooked and had no flavor. The owner is extremely kind so I truly feel bad writing a negative review. I also have to honor that they are a Thai restaurant and maybe the Thai is authentic. I found this spot on Yelp, because I wanted Thai food. The restaurant is located next to Sapporo Sushi and Shamrock. The interior is small, but clean. The service, was weird. They provided the food to me in a to-go box. All the other restaurants I've been to, provide eat-in plates. The food was great but the to-go box for sit-in eating was weird.
