Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Pork

The food was amazing and tasty. The servers were very friendly and fast at taking orders.

Very large portion of the pan-fried noodles!

Always good food and friendly service. Ordered the lunch specials, and each one has never disappointed. Tried the pan fried sizzling noodles today and it was humongous! Always a good neighborhood go-to.

I didn't even eat any meat and I got food poisoning from this place. Be careful. Will not be going back.

Passed this place more times than I can count and, given the abundance of "Chinese" restaurants in…read morethe area, always assumed it was just another case of same menu, different sign. Then curiosity finally won. I arrived mid-afternoon to a surprisingly packed house--always a promising sign. As luck would have it, one table remained, and an older woman kindly waved me over to claim it. About five minutes later she returned with a place setting, menu, and the essential opening question: "What would you like to drink?" (Water, in my case.) Three minutes after that, a younger server zipped past, apologized for the brief wait, and efficiently took my order. I went with the Sweet & Sour Pork lunch special ($13.95), which came with an egg roll and fried rice. The portion was generous enough to qualify as both lunch and a future encore at home. The egg roll and fried rice were solid. The sweet and sour pork was decent--loaded with pineapple chunks, though curiously missing the usual bell peppers. The sauce leaned a bit enthusiastically toward the "sweet" side as well. Still, it was a filling meal and I ended up boxing half for later. Friendly service, hearty portions, and reasonable prices--three good reasons I'll likely return and give the rest of the menu a spin. Value: 4 out of 5 Atmosphere: noisy, 3 out of 5 Service: 4 out of 5 Bathroom: one unisex, so it's popular Verdict: 4 out of 5

Food was good. Gave us huge portions and we really enjoyed the fried potstickers…read more First thing I noticed was that the menu prices have increased from the pictures provided here on Yelp. Prices have increased by about $2-4 each item, which isn't too bad. Second thing we encountered was an additional charge on my friend's card. The receipt stated that it was $58. We used my friend's card for the food and had extra cash so we opted out of an on-card tip. When my friend received the charge, it was $70!!! We brought it to a staff members attention and were quickly shut down by the lady that charged us. She said that it's what banks do and that it would give us back what wasn't charged??? She said to come back next month with a bank statement to prove it was actually taken to get his refund, if needed. We sat there in awe being yelled at by the team so we kept our mouths shut and left. It was MY first time here (my friend said he and his family come often and order large amounts) and that they've never had problems. Although, he did say his family tends to pay in cash. Not sure if I'd come again because of this sticky interaction.

Today we decided let's give it another try after a good year or so away we were actually pleasantly surprised. We ordered the crab rangoons they were actually a bit too over cooked so this was a bit of a mis. Main dishes included sweet and sour pork the sauce was perfectly sour and sweet the pork was tender a tad over battered for my liking but crispy and fresh nevertheless. Cashew chicken was great tender pieces of chicken and zucchini and onions all sautéed in a delicious sauce topped with mounds of cashews. House fried rice was delicately fried with shrimp, chicken and beef and veggies complemented the main entrees well. Our service was pleasant and on top of refills and any other needs. The restaurant is a bit dated and in need of some tlc but overall clean.

I actually had to circle back to find it, which already made it feel like a bit of a hidden gem. Arriving around 1:30 pm, the dining room was completely empty at first glance. For a moment I wondered if they were closed, until I noticed the doors slightly ajar. Not long after stepping in, I was greeted and invited to sit wherever I liked, which added a relaxed, unhurried feel to the whole experience. I went with the Mango Beef Special Lunch Combo ($10.99) The dish came with generous crisp vegetables, chunks of mango that paired nicely with the zesty savory beef. The fried rice and chow mein leaned a bit on the mild side flavor-wise, but a touch of chili oil and some of the entrée sauce brought everything to life. The combo also includes soup of the day and your choice of appetizer, making it a well-rounded plate. Portion-wise, it's more than fair--especially for the price. In fact, it easily undercuts most nearby Chinese spots and even fast food options, in the later case being obviously fresher and more balanced alternative. This feels like the kind of place you root for. I'll be back to explore more of the menu--and honestly, I'd take supporting a quiet local kitchen like this over a fast food chain any day.

They're lunch specials are fairly priced, 13.99 and they have a big selection. I ordered the chicken and vegetables with fried rice and noodles. My favorite part was the side soup that comes with it, the broth was really flavorful and the little rice topping have it a good crunch. My dish itself lacked flavor honestly, tasted bland. The noodles were on the dry side, but the fried rice was good. There was only one server during a lunch rush, you could tell she was a little overwhelmed, but she managed to help everyone.
