Every town in America has their Chinese takeout spot, and this is Scottsville's. It's not going to blow your mind, but it will certainly hit that saucy, fatty spot that is the reason every town in America has a joint like this. They are currently only doing drive-thru takeout, but you can still tell that the folks are super nice. The son was playing basketball around back when I came to pick up the food, and there's something really wholesome about that that I like. I only spend a week or two a year in the area, so I only get China Panda maybe once a year, but I can report that they've got super solid General Tso's chicken, orange beef, and egg rolls (scallion pancakes and dumplings TBD). They no longer make egg foo young, but luckily I think my mother in law is the only person who is affected by this information, as I'd never heard of the dish before her. They've got everything else that the rest of us order from Chinese joints (except, in my last visit, vegetables with the General Tso's which I thought was odd), and it'll satisfy the craving we all have from time to time. read more

This place has continued to go downhill in the past 2 years because it's the only game in town few locals complain and accept the decline. Every one of their dishes tastes the same with the same sauce and they load every dish down with vegetables that don't belong in the dishes and a ton of fried rice. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was disgusting. The few chicken pieces I got weren't fried they were boiled but it was loaded to the top, spilling over with cabbage, zucchini, peppers, carrots, and onions with a few peanuts, since when does Kung Pao Chicken even come with this? I was starved got it home and had to eat this mess and it's not the first time this has happened with the crazy vegetable thing that doesn't belong in the recipes, The restaurant knows it and gets away with it bc the town is too small and if someone complains on FB they get piled on as opposed to making the restaurant cook as tradition requires and most people don't know the difference and they think this is how Chinese food is prepared and don't question it. I got beyond ripped off and paid way too much money. They also changed the recipe for their egg rolls and they should call them spring rolls bc they're not egg rolls they're spring rolls and they taste terrible. Ordered dinner here again and as promised from my previous review I went with another dish; this time I added the Orange Chicken. It was very good; a tad bit too sweet, but worth it. This place lucked out in taking over the old McDonald's building. They are using the drive-up window to ensure COVID-19 restrictions. Call ahead, place your order, and drive up. This is becoming one of my go to places for Chinese-American cuisine. Next time, I am going to try an "off menu" option, if permitted... looking for real Chinese food. read more

There is something special about a local family owned restaurant. I really enjoy this place being in my town. The food is delicious. There are a variety of different meals that I have tried. The chicken and garlic sauce is great. Plenty of chicken and vegetables (see photo). I also really enjoy the Singapore Mei Fun, thin noodles with chicken, shrimp and pork with a spicy curry flavor. Tonight traveling home a little late for dinner from a baseball game I made a quick call for General Tso chicken (photo) for my son and curry chicken (photo) with chicken on a stick for me, perfectly cooked and still tender (photo). As always the food was delicious. Much better than the typical "buffet". The seating is limited as most love to order pick up. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. For quick Chinese food, this place is great. Never had an issue with the many years I have been going here. This place does not deliver but as usual, you can order and pick up really quickly. There is also a nice small dining area to eat if you'd like to eat there instead. Personally love the veggie egg rolls and Crab Rangoons. Delicious food and quick service! The space seemed clean and well kept. My room mate and I were searching yelp for a Chinese restaurant in the area because we didn't feel like cooking. Since China Panda had all 5 star reviews, we figured we should give it a shot. I ordered the sesame chicken and she ordered the beef and broccoli and we split a pint of house special lo mein. The food was absolutely worth the 13 minute trip from RIT to the restaurant! Probably waited about 5 minutes for the food. And if you're a hungry college student on a Friday night, you know that 31 total minutes is an eternity to wait for food! All in all, we were not disappointed! read more

Good solid Chinese food, fresh, hot, and fast. Very nice family and very friendly. Only reason for dropping a star is that over the last 8 months or so they rarely have Egg Foo Young available even though it is still on the menu. They claim that they are out of sauce and it takes too long to make, it also seems to be unavailable whenever they are busy. It is a little frustrating to get halfway through your order and find out the next item that you are ordering isn't available... especially when it had been consistently available for the past 11 years or so. Great food. Excellent service. In comparison with other Chinese takeouts in the Monroe county area, I'd say this is one of my top 3. The place is clean. Quick service. For me, what separates this place from other takeouts is the ingredients they use. Their hot and sour soup is packed with mushrooms, tofu, carrots and bamboo shoots.
