5 stars ~ Service, Food, and Location First visit to King's Wok Chinese Cuisine in Farmington, and it was an excellent experience. I ordered the sesame chicken combination dinner, which came with pork fried rice and a pork egg roll. I asked if they could make the chicken with white meat and extra crispy, and they were wonderfully accommodating. Since sesame chicken often comes with dark meat, I really appreciated their willingness to customize the order. The service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. The owner even suggested that I eat there rather than take it to go, explaining that if you want it crispy, it is best enjoyed right away. That kind of thoughtful honesty and care really stood out. I had not realized they offered dine-in seating, but they have several tables and enough space for a small group gathering as well; see pictures. The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Sesame chicken is one of my favorite dishes, and this was definitely one of the better versions I've had. It had just enough spice to get your attention without being overwhelming. I enjoy a little extra heat, so next time I may ask them to kick it up a notch. I highly recommend King's Wok. It is conveniently located just off the Thruway on the way into Farmington or Canandaigua, with good parking and easy access to other nearby amenities. A great find, and I will absolutely be back. You know the saying don't judge a book by its cover? Well, don't judge this place by the reviews, because they made me leery to go here, and by golly, the reviews are WRONG! Being apprehensive, we stuck to basics, House Special Lomein and Sesame Chicken. First, the Sesame Chicken was terrific, extremely tender, a bit crispy and sweet. A+. The lomein too was very good with an acceptable amount of beef and shrimp. I do suspect the lomein is actually spaghetti, irregardless, very good. Ignore the other reviewers and order here with confidence...at least on the items we tried. read more

This Chinese restaurant is very close to where we live so it is usually our go too. This restaurant, at least for us, usually gets our orders done very quickly. My favorite dishes off their menu are the sweet and sour chicken, the wonton soup, the Singapore mei fun, and the General Tso's chicken. Their one item I am not very fond of off their menu is their fried rice, which seems to be a larger grain of rice than most other Chinese restaurants use, and lacks flavor. Overall, if you looking for a quick typical Chinese restaurant meal, this would not be a bad place to get a meal from! read more

Rice was soupy, sesame beef soggy and greasy. Food used to be much better. Think it's time to look for another place.

Years ago this place offered exc fare, good flavor, large portions with many veg. Now, flavor still good, but portions 1/2 what they used to be and prices have gone up quite a bit. NO VEG in Moo Goo Gai Pan, huge disappointment. They never seem to be able to give us the order we called in. I think they have extra orders not picked up, and try to sell it to new customers at pick-up. We go there in a pinch, but even that's gonna be questionable after our last experience. I was disappointed. The MapoTofu had literally a pound of tofu and very little sauce, which lacked the complex flavor of mapo.

The food was as fresh as can be. There was nothing that resembled using leftovers for any of the rice, dishes or other items we ordered. You can tell they didn't just open up a can of premade orange sauce and dump it on fried pieces of chicken. You could actually see the orange peel and taste the flavor of food that was made really fresh and done well. The ribs were amazing, and the fried rice with vegetables was absolutely loaded with fresh vegetables. I've had some bad Chinese food in my time and I can honestly say that this was the best I've had in many years.I wish I lived closer to Farmington. I'd be here every week. read more

This place is ALWAYS busy, so be aware when they say "20 minutes" add like 10 to it. The food is almost always good. Nothing amazingly spectacular or Michelin star rated, but the sizes make up for it. It could REALLY use a deep clean and the parking lot is pretty bad. We got King's Wok for Chinese takeout and it was fast and delicious. The price was also good. Our favorite dishes were the Mongolian beef, orange chicken (which tasted like actual oranges, not corn syrup) and the Szechuan dumplings. Good covid procedures too. We will definitely be back! read more

Good food if you have NO ALLERGIES and you know what you are ordering. Highly recommend the sesame chicken (not gluten free) and that's about it. Their pepper beef is exactly that beef and green peppers, with a basic unflavored brown sauce. Cashew chicken is breaded chicken so that was a meal that i couldn't eat. (Gluten) but is more uncooked carrots and celery then chicken with what seemed like a basic unflavored brown sauce, With the cashews thrown in on top; not even tossed in with the chicken, celery and carrots. Their mixed vegetables are cooked perfectly but coated in yet another basic unflavored brown sauce. It's definitely a convenience restuarant because of its location but if you don't mind the drive panda express in victor is way better. read more

Sometimes they cheated on your orders and cook too careless and not focusing on their job. After Chang left and the chefs sucks and they don't seem to enjoy their jobs. They should hire American Chinese lady to take orders, we don't understand them with their accents. They need to improve their cooking and more delicious flavorings on each dishes. I called (the first time ever) I said that I wanted to place an order for delivery, and the woman on the phone said. " we don't deliver" and then hung up on me! I called back. Ordered 50 worth of food for pickup (perhaps she should have suggested that instead of hanging up on me...a little crazy on the customer service). Order was on time, and hot. The food was mostly good (beef and veggies perfectly cooked, egg foo young was really good) Don't order the dumplings. The wrapper is...not good. undercooked pancake-like. Very odd for a dumpling. Just moved to the area and not that many Chinese restaurants to go to so I was hesitant at first...first day I went I just got the chicken fried rice and an egg roll just to check out the food and to be honest I've been there about 10 more times and I haven't ordered anything else new the chicken fried rice is the best I've had since leaving NYC it's light and flavorful and not heavy in grease... if your looking for something quick just get the chicken fried rice you won't go wrong lol get the large for sure read more

Food was as good as always but when I checked my bank statement, they added extra to the total as a tip. On the receipt I put a line thru the tip area and totaled it. They added it themselves. Favorite Chinese place in the victor/Farmington area. Their fried rice is 100x better than panda

My fiance likes the food here. I don't know if I just am not a fan of Chinese anymore (which is hard to believe because I'm half asian) or if I'm just disappointed with the Chinese selection in the area. Their general tsos is decent. The egg rolls are about the same as anywhere else. They have corny kung-fu panda fortunates. My last one said, "time spent not eating is time wasted." I usually just order pizza at jason's next door when my fiance wants chinese. I will say it is the best in the farmington area. read more

Ordered sesame chicken takeout tonight with some fried rice and beef lo mein. A good experience! Prices are extremely fair and their portion sizes are ample. The lo mein was especially tasty. Thin strips of beef with just a bit of zest. The noodles were soft and mushy, a bit greasy but not in a way that took away from their flavor. The sesame chicken was a bit soggy. Some people don't mind this, but I do, hence this review being a 3. Not terrible, but nothing that in any way blew me away. The phone experience was light and breezy. They have the food ready in 10-15 minutes, though we did have to wait five minutes or so for our food. read more

I visited last weekend for first time. Walked in at 9:50 and being that they closed at 10, wasn't sure if we could order. Lady at desk said yes, so we placed a rather large order for tAke out. Food was prepared rather quickly considering all the different items we ordered. It was priced about the same as any place i have been like this. Consistenty good Chinese food and pickup at a reasonable price is hard to find in this area. King's Wok provides all of that. Sure, NYC has better Chinese food, but I don't live there. I'm grateful that I can rely on King's Wok for their service. I pickup their Chinese food once a week. read more

New King's Wok? You aren't fooling anyone. The decor has been the same since 1999. I even recognize a chef or two from back in the day also. If you are going to call it new, at least make people wear a mustache to disguise themselves :). With that being said, there was nothing really to change here. The only point of eating-in at this place is if you love to stare at yourself in wall length mirrors. Maybe this place turns in to a mini gym at night, I don't really know. Take-out is the only option. The food here is very good for chinese take out. To tell you the truth it is by far the best in the area from what I have tried. You literally have to go 20 miles or so to find anything better. I have had many different selections on the menu, not just the typical caucasian "sesame chicken please"! Have been eating here for 15 years! My friends and I usually come here to get the sweet and sour chicken and some other stuff. Most of the foods taste the same just like any other Chinese restaurants except for the bbq ribs and Mongolian Beef. Hands down those are my favorite, all the food are taste fresh. The place is super friendly and clean, would highly recommend others to come and try it out. read more
