Don't recommend, too many better options nearby. I was at an office next door and called in a take out order for Kung Pao chicken to pick up on my way out. It was right around noon and I picked up the order 10 minutes later. I wasn't really paying attention when I scanned my card but somehow an order that was listed as $9.95 on the menu (+$1 up charge for noodles) came to over $15? So wayyyy overcharged. The up charge for the noodles was NOT worth it. They tasted old, like left over from the day before old, and not even fully reheated before I got them, some parts of the noodles were still cold. The chicken was rubbery and not spicy at all, which is what I wanted, Kung Pao is supposed to be spicy, they even note on the menu that it is. I had to ask for cutlery and the hostess acted put out that I wanted it. It's dusty and run down inside and out. No one in the parking lot and I was the only take out order waiting when I went in, at lunchtime on a busy Friday, so that probably says a lot. It has been sad to watch this place slowly give in to neglect and carelessness. The food is not bad but portion size has nearly been cut in half within a year's time but the prices are not going down, they have gone up within that year's time. Service is still very good. Dragon House has great combos. They're the only place I know that has Teriyaki chicken that tastes good nearby. They have a lot of options for combos and are pretty quick with making meals. Their price is a little more than I'm use to but they give you a lot. It's worth it to try it. read more

Called and went back to ask for a refund and they told me that what I ordered is what I got but I told them it's not the right sauce or vegetables and that I've ordered there before and got something different. I lived in New York City for 30 years, so I think I know Chinese food. My family and I had a wonderful time at the restauran. The food was very good - and plentiful! We have gotten take out from here years ago and the dishes we ordered were good. Recently, we ordered only General Tso's chicken to add to our home meal and it was bad. The chicken was hard to chew and there was absolutely no spice to the sauce. Really disappointed that unfortunately, we will probably never order from there again. Why won't my order ever be right? For the love of ancient Chinese dragons.....I wanted General Tsang's chicken medium spicy, more spicy than generally served, it came out less. I was hoping it came with broccoli like the other General, his friend on a menu Mr. Tso. Let's start with the good news: The food quality and preparation was better than my usual go-to for take-out Chinese - China King in Fairport! That said, I picked up an order on New Year's Day; the place was empty. I trusted they got the order right, but when I got home and unpacked the bag there were a couple of small missteps: (1) rather than beef-on-a-stick, I found an order of spareribs (okay fine) and (2) there were no condiments (no packets of soy sauce, hot mustard etc). But here's the bad news: The price - even for better quality food - was $12.70 more than I'd have paid at China King for the same items. Plus I picked up the food or would've paid an additional $6.00 delivery fee (China Kind does not charge for delivery; you just tip the driver who has worked there for years). read more

I hit this place for an order to go on a Monday night and now I remember why I never go here anymore. I ordered fried dumplings and they were all dumpling and very little pork. One side of the dumpling were burned and they were inedible. I got four egg rolls that were good but they never gave me any hot mustard! I got the beef and scallops as the main course and I got plenty of beef and three scallops. The veggies were over cooked and old. I found a piece of metal shaving in the beef and I threw all of it out. I should have known that something was wrong when I got there and there were no customers in the entire place. It was disgusting and a waste of $42.50. Dragon House gets one lousy Yelp star and I will not return. Note: There really are no 4 or 5 star Chinese restaurants in Rochester anymore. Terrible. Fried rice was slightly browned, zero veggies and a single piece of egg. Fried dumplings were petrified tough miniatures of what I have had elsewhere. Visited today with a girfriend. The $18 Pu pu platter set the trend. Grease was dripping off the egg rolls, tempura shrimp and the old-tasting drumsticks and wings. The ribs were dry and tasted like cardboard. Surprisingly, the 2 beef satay sticks were tender, and tasty. The Mai tai for 2 tasted good, but came in a bowl with 2 long straws instead the expected post-Covid pitcher with 2 glasses. Next, the roast pork egg foo young ($10.95)was greasy, with chunks of the old and dry ribs sampled in the pu pu platter. Both orders came in one platter, smothered in very hot, yet tastless starchy gravy-like substance, accompanied by a scant bowl of very dry rice on the side. Neither of us could bring ourselves to eat more than a couple of bites. The waitress asked if we wanted boxes... No thanks, we'd rather not. Then I explained why. "We sell a lot of it" was the only response we received. Nothing was taken off our bill, no apology. We left hungry. Come to find out, leaving hungry may have been for the best. Lesson learned: make it a point to look at reviews and the Monroe County Food Service Establishment (HEALTH.DATA.NY.GOV) Inspection reports online before trying a new restaurant. read more

The service for deliver was way quicker than it should have been. The quality of the food was a 1-10 I wouldn't even give it to my dog. They told me I could get another meal for free so I figured I would give them another chance. My brother got the sweet and sour chicken which he said was ok. I got the pork and broccoli and it didn't even smell like pork, 3 different peopple tried a bite and spit it immediately out. I'd describe the service as excellent and the food as normal restaurant Chinese. Nothing spectacular. Chef's special fried rice had a good amount of shrimp and pork -kudos. The Hunan pork had a good amount of pork but the heat factor was not as hot spiced as I would expect. Similarly, the Kung Pau Shrimp could also stand a bit more heat if it's supposed to be hot spiced. pork egg rolls are mainly cabbage and could stand improvement in flavor. Crispy though. read more

I have to admit I was somewhat disappointed with my meal here. I ordered takeout on a slow Monday night & waited at the bar while it was being prepared. I had some very nice tea to sip & the lady who took my order was very sweet. I ordered pork lo mein, sesame chicken, spring rolls and hot & sour soup. My hubby really liked his lo mein & the soup was good, except not very tangy. Spring rolls were almost tasteless & I think had been fried at too low a temperature as they had absorbed quite a bit of oil. My sesame chicken was tough & stringy. Not good. As you may find out soon, I love the Asian culture and Asian Foods. For many of us it's a great last-minute take out option. This was the case for me. I ordered my favorite, General Tao chicken, House special fried rice, stir fry dumplings, and egg rolls. For me the highlight of these dishes are the egg rolls. The shell is nice and crispy the filling is tasty, and the homemade duck sauce is fantastic. It's the best duck sauce I've tasted in my life so far. I always used the packet duck sauce, but the homemade duck sauce was a revolutionary for my taste buds. The only thing I have against the egg roll is that it doesn't have a lot of meat in it, it's mostly vegetables. I was raised in New York city, and the egg rolls down there are the total opposite. The general Tao chicken had great flavor but needed a little more kick to it with the spice. When it comes to the house special fried rice, it was ok. The rice could have been a bit more firm, and every other ingredient was about average. The dumpling was great combined with the sause that it comes with. At the end of the day, I'v been to this restaurant multiple times. At first they were great, but currently the love put in the dish did not show. Maybe it was just the last visit I made. The hot and sour soup is the best I've ever had with chives of course. :) General Tsao chicken is my favorite with the little spiciness and a side order of pork fried rice and puffed shrimp. and a zombie to drink. :) And my favorite dessert is the lychee nuts on ice. read more

I'm seriously disappointed. There were numerous communication issues: mixed up phone number, unsure of my address spelling and misheard my order. All of this wasn't a huge issue but I felt blamed for all of it. When I called to try and fix the order, I was interrupted and yelled at. I ended up driving to the store to return the food and the female employee who took the order and returned it said "I wouldn't want to deliver for you again anyways." Best Chinese I have ever had. The only thing that I could as for from them is free refills but the prices are much more reasonable than other Chinese restaurants in my area. While I only like their cashew chicken and hot and sour soup my friends tell me they like their other dishes as well. If you want Chinese this is the place to go! read more
