Ok Chinese food. Their price is definitely higher than typical Chinese take out. I ordered food over the phone and it was ready in 15 minutes. I got chicken tso. It was spicier than I expected. And also this is the first time I saw red pepper in chicken tso. The potion is same as other Chinese place. They have dining tables if you want to sit down. May not come back here due to the price.

Tucked away in a little strip mall. Inside is nicely decorated and everything is clean. Staff very friendly. Out appetizers and lunch came out quickly. Everything was wonderfully delicious!

I was in the area and was recommended this place. I liked it. I had the Wonton Soup, it was ok. The broth had flavor with two wonton. No green onion or any greenery or shredded roast pork. The Shrimp Spring Rolls, crispy, mostly vegetables stuffed. The Roast Pork over Rice was the best. Thinly sliced Siu Yuk over Rice and some vegetables. The meat was tender and tasty. The rice had some hidden Sauce from the pork and it was delicious. Whenever I want to East Roast Pork Cantonese style I'll come here. Service was attentive and prompt.

Eggplant with garlic and fried rice, curry chicken with friend rice, empty plates says it all

Just arrived to Rochester NY... searching for comfort food and stumbled into this Chinese restaurant across our hotel. Pleasantly surprised with the food. We ordered curry chicken and eggplant with garlic, egg roll and wonton soup. With fried rice. Food looked appetizing and delicious. Service was awesome, Connie was very friendly and accommodating. Ambiance ... what can I say, it's simple clean and modestly decorated. I like that it's not too much wall hangings. Tables were neat and clean. Music was melodic and subtle giving you a feeling of China. Check out the pictures... we devoured the delicious food.

Very unassuming location tucked behind Delmonico and TGIF giants- you wouldn't see it coming down East Henrietta. Chopsticks reminds me of someone's kitchen- very homey feeling, which I think adds to the humble and authenticity of its food. I am always wary when places look too decorated and stereotypical Chinese buffet style. Food portions large and reasonably priced. Some items you'd think would be cheaper like scallion pancakes but if you order any of the rice plates, portions are big. Service is by younger folk so they speak both Chinese and English. Customers usually Chinese. If you like noisy and club like scene, do Revolution. If you like pricy Americanized Chinese in a strange formal setting, do Red Sun. If you like acceptible Dim Sum, do Canton House. If you want good noodle soup, Han Noodle Bar with good pork buns. White Swans and Flavors Of Asia are a little fushion Chinese but still good. If you want no frills good cheap authentic Chinese eats, do Chopsticks. When you sit down, there's the paper chinese zodiac place mats, a normal menu (overwhelming if you don't know what you want or are not familiar with Chinese dishes), and a random paper menu of handwritten Chinese characters in markers. Frankly if you don't know what to get, go straight to the rice plate options. You get a good portion and a side of rice, so you don't get stuck with a giant chefs choice option. The rice platters are half the cost and more approachable. Dishes mostly authentic but you'll still find the stir fried veggies and and chop suey saucy options. Appreciate their vegetarian options though like Buddha's Delight. Get the spicy potatoes. Good spicy dish. Tofu buns were a little odd but creative. Chow fun was good and their Buddha's delight was good too. Nothing bad on their menu. Sometimes they will randomly ask if you want their green bean warm dessert. If you've never had and not used to sweet beans, may want to pass but it's super comfortable on the belly after a salty chinese meal.

We make sure to eat here every time we visit the Rochester area. Some of the best homemade tasting Chinese food. Things to remember: closed weekends and the lunch plate special ends at 3pm on the weekdays.

Great food! , it's a small place but they really do a good job making this food . Don't listen to the lady about the review about her wine! This food is great and prepared well. You get what you pay for not just a tiny plate too. I ordered the general Tso's and it tastes great!

Thai basil shrimp--loaded with shrimp, all fabulous vegetables. Best Thai I've had in a long time.

This was close to my hotel on a stormy night so I stopped in. The hostess helped me choose off a varied menu--she pointed me towards the Thai items. I asked about the specific dish and again she helped me choose. I got a basil shrimp Thai dish that was fabulous--full of high quality vegetables, loaded with shrimp--the best Thai food I've had in a long time. Yes, the ambience is casual but the front door was open, letting in fresh air. I felt comfortable eating there. Very friendly staff. I would eat there again in a heart beat. I wasn't expecting such a first class food experience--what a delight!

Lorena Bobbitt owns this place. Of course, she named it after her tendency to "chop sticks" off anybody that wrongs her. More power to her. I do believe they re-attached aforementioned stick to her ex husband and then he went into adult movies. I do believe the reason for the "severing of ties" and "chopping of sticks" was spousal abuse. It's a pretty strange world, isn't it. What to get: anything off the authentic Cantonese menu. I didn't absolutely love the food here, I asked what the best Cantonese soup was and they recommended the Beef w/noodles, so I went for that, and despite asking for it to be extra extra spicy it was pretty bland. The noodles were just okay, there was a bunch of grizzly fatty beef that tasted just okay, and a few nice green veggies mixed in there. It wasn't spicy at all. On the other hand, I do think it's great that there's a place selling authentic Chinese food in these parts, and you should go and check it out for yourself because you might find some much more delicious authentic dishes on their menu than I did. I'd avoid the broths just because to me they're a little bland, but I'd definitely try something else another time. What's more, the prices are good (well under $10) and the portions are huge (I still have three quarters of my meal in the fridge and I got pretty full off the quarter I ate), and the customer service is really lovely. The kid working here is a very nice kid... it's comfortable and clean inside... the waiting of tables if you eat in is really lovely. And they had no problem with me using outlets, which after just getting yelled at for the same thing at People's Choice, made a nice change. Take advantage of, and enjoy, one of the few authentic Chinese options in the 585 or indeed, in Western NY. It's not on the level of 716's equivalent (Peking Quick One), but for authenticity, excellent service, price, portion size, this place gets a thumbs up from me.

The spot has that old-school Chinese takeout vibe: simple, clean, and focused on flavor, not flash. --- What I Ordered: General Tso's Chicken Shrimp Lo Mein Crab Rangoons Egg Roll Steamed Dumplings --- General Tso's Chicken: Sweet, spicy, and crispy - exactly how it should be. The sauce had a good kick without overpowering the flavor. Chicken was tender inside with that golden crunch. Easily one of the best in the area. Shrimp Lo Mein: Noodles were cooked just right - not too greasy, not too dry. Shrimp was fresh and had good bite. Could use a little more garlic or soy for depth, but still solid. Crab Rangoons: Creamy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. These were a hit. You get that satisfying crunch with the creamy crab filling - not overly sweet like some spots do. Steamed Dumplings: Soft and juicy with a flavorful pork filling. Dipping sauce was on point. Not doughy, just right. Egg Roll: Golden and crispy with a nice balance of cabbage and pork inside. Great with the duck sauce. --- Pros: Big portions, great value Fast service Hits all the nostalgic Chinese takeout cravings Clean and well-packaged Cons: Lo mein could use a little more flavor Limited seating (best for takeout) --- Final Verdict (8.9/10): New Number One Chinese Restaurant is bringing the heat. Classic Chinese-American dishes done right. If you're craving comfort food that hits every time, this place delivers - literally and figuratively. Perfect for a late-night boss fight meal or chilling after a long grind. Let me know what YOU always order from your local Chinese spot - and drop your suggestions for the next food battle

While visiting on a cool night, the Dan Dan Noodles sounded really appealing to me, and they did not disappoint! The bowl was a large portion with a good amount of noodles and tender, juicy ground pork. The broth was hot and spicy, but also flavorful...the heat was not too overpowering for me. I was very happy with my meal, but also happy to taste some other items we got to share. Edamame always seems like a good way to start a meal...these were overly salted for my liking. The scallion pancake was okay...a little small with just four thin pieces. More successful were the namesake dumplings. I really liked their versions of Xaio Long Bao - both the original pork and shrimp varieties contained delicious broth and fillings. We also shared the pork and chive dumplings, beef dumplings, and pork and corn dumplings...and we would order all of them again! The orange chicken was also an enjoyable dish to share, and good way to add some variety to the plethora of dumplings. I'm sure they get a lot of young customers from RIT and UofR, and the music catered more to this audience - it was a bit loud for my preference. But, service was very good and it is a fun casual environment to enjoy some good, reasonably priced chow with friends!
