Came here with a party of 6, including 2 kids. I was really the only one who didn't love my food; I had the breakfast sandwich and it was really bland and dry. My husband had pancakes with lemon curd and loved them, and the two kids with us loved their kids meals from the breakfast menu. Our server was nice, but our order was wrong - I asked for my sandwich on a bagel and it came on a Kaiser roll; and my husband asked for no whipped cream on his pancakes but they came with whipped cream. We didn't bother sending it back, no big deal. The place is fun and cute with a lot of decorations. We came on Valentine's Day and it was very festive. read more

Came here from a recommendation from Yelp and someone we know who had a house in the area. Don't expect this place to be fancy- it's located in a small strip mall, but the staff was amazing! I called 15 mins before going asking if there was a wait for a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) and since there wasn't a wait, we headed over hoping there wasn't going to be a brunch rush or something, especially on new year day. We got here and were greeted by every staff and sat down right away in the back (which was perfect). Our drink orders were take right away and our waitress was so friendly and patient with us when we started ordering our food. Food came out fairly quickly and it was SO good, I didn't even take pictures! All I have to say is that my group ordered different things from the menu and no one was disappointed with what they got. I don't remember the name of my dish, but it was basically sausage on biscuits smothered in gravy and a side of home fries. This is definitely a place I would come back to if I was ever in the area again. The place was a little dated but I loved the open kitchen and the friendliness of the staff. After trying sooooo many different places for brunch, we ended up dining at Chat n Chew. It was finally recommended by a family member that stays in the poconos every now and then. The service was great. They ended up giving the kids some stuffed animals for the holidays. This isn't the reason why the service was great, but it was definitely a plus. The cafe itself resembles something of a country style diner. Lots of different items on the menu from breakfast to lunch and some dinner items. I ordered the belly busted and my wife ordered the country fries steak. The 2 dishes were exactly identical except the belly busted was sandwiched between slices of bread. If you're not trying to be on a waiting list this is definitely the place to try. read more

I was in the mood for pancakes; had been craving it. We decided to go to this establishment as it had been recommended by some locals. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by friendly staff. We were bought to our seat right away. There were booths and tables all around with a visible kitchen. The table was well stocked with condiments and a roll of paper towels, nicely displayed. We order a short stack of pancakes egg over easy, bacon, home fries, and pork roll which reminds me of Canadian bacon. The eggs were perfectly made, bacon crispy and I actually enjoyed tasting the pork roll. To my disappointment however, the pancakes was a fail. I literally took one bite. It tasted like frozen under cooked pancake from a no name brand. The nice waitress offer to have the chef "cook it some more" but I do not believe that would have helped. Other than the pancakes, we enjoyed everything. I wouldn't mind returning and if I do, I will stick to what I believe to be their speciality; eggs, potatoes and breakfast meat. Got the messy breakfast burrito and it lived up to its name. It was also pretty big and stuffed with steak, eggs, cheese, and potatoes. What made it messy was it was topped with sour cream and salsa, so you're probably not picking this up with your hands. Kept me full most of the day and service was pretty good too. Checked out the mammoth $17.50 breakfast sandwich from Chat N Chew in Blakeslee, PA a few days ago. The "Belly Buster Messy Mike" came with country fried steak, bacon, sausage gravy, two eggs, home fries, and cheddar on a Kaiser. Bruh... The flavor of the sandwich was very good. Sometimes with that many things competing on your palette it doesn't work, but this did. It's not just a massive stunt food. Country fried steak was cooked well and the sausage gravy was delicious. If I had anything that I'd recommend, I'd just cook those home fries a tiny bit longer...but that's personal preference. I was able to get through half of this before I waved the white flag. One a recent visit, I had the pork roll, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser and it was absolutely perfect. Eggs over medium just a bit runny. Rolls are lightly toasted on the grill. **COVID EDITION** I was around the area to go snowboarding at Jack Frost and stumbled upon this restaurant. Don't be fooled by it's location - the quality of this restaurant is S-tier. The staff is covid regulated and seated us at a good distance between other customers. We ordered a messy burrito and a messy mike sandwich. Both of which very flavorful and filling. Couldn't finish the whole meal and saved the rest for later (still tastes great microwaved!) Please do note that these meals do have combinations of a lot of heavy food (which I didn't mind at all, I really enjoyed it) just in case for those who are looking for a lighter meal like a salad lol.
