    the menu for the restaurant

Stopped here for take out but you can finally sit inside the restaurant. It seemed like there was only one person taking the order and possibly cooking. It was my first time here but I've been wanting to try it. I ordered crab Rangoon as an appetizer and enjoyed it. The appetizer was crispy and I liked the red-orange sauce that was served with it. Would definitely order that again. My lunch was shrimp w cashews, and wasn't particularly fond of it. This was in a brown sauce and was pretty mediocre. It didn't have fresh broccoli or carrots like I was expecting- lots of water chestnuts, mushrooms and bamboo shoots- I wouldn't order it again. The general Tso was delicious and a heaping portion. Both entrees came with pork fried rice. They have an enormous menu- I would definitely come back but wouldn't order the shrimp w cashews.

Hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the appearance, walk in and order with confidence, you won't be disappointed. If there were more stars to give, I would give them more.

The take-out from this spot is decent. I enjoy their sweet & sour chicken. They have "good" pork friend dumplings. Average at best.

Simply amazing…read more.. While most people were indulging in Sunday brunch, my girlfriend wanted Chinese food. As we drove, she read the description for U & TEA and we knew we had to go. The place is clean with plenty of room and great lighting -- and the entire establishment is food focused. Our server helped with teas and plates and we placed our orders. My girlfriend got sweet and sour chicken for her main meal. It was obvious the food was fresh and the dish had been cooked in fresh oil (and only for a short amount of time). The sauce was delicate and subtle, which allowed the flavor of the tender chicken to shine through. And what a plate! She ended up having leftovers for two days. Although I normally order seafood, I love duck and have it once or twice a year. From the menu, their duck dishes looked fantastic. Our server recommended the Peking Duck, which I had always wanted to try. That dish brought Alice Gatsch with it. She is kind and engaging and introduced how I should properly eat Peking Duck. She walked be through the steps of how to prepare the buns with scallion, cilantro, and sauce. I wish I could convey how tender the duck was and how crispy the skin had been. It was incredible and I somehow cleared my plate (and didn't eat for the rest of the day). We cannot wait to return. Alice said she'd be happy to walk me through ordering a truly traditional meal and I look forward to that experience. The staff and food are too fantastic to pass up. I highly recommend you make a visit of your own!

Both the dim sum menu and a lunch menu with standard Chinese restaurant fare were available. My party got the general tso's chicken from the lunch menu, and it was exceptional. Good-quality white meat with just enough spice. Heads up, though, the lunch dishes don't come with rice, so order that separately. From the dim sum menu, we ordered braised tripe with ginger & scallion, fried shrimp rolls, shrimp dumplings, steamed chicken buns, and crab meat soup dumplings. The braised tripe was a standout. It was cooked in a light yet flavorful sauce of ginger and scallion with the tripe's own broth. The delicateness of the sauce worked perfectly with the tripe. The dumplings were all great, especially the soup dumplings. The steamed chicken bun was the only thing I'd skip. It was on the heavier side, and the filling was just okay. The bill came out to about what I expected for the amount of food we ordered--$65 before tip. The service was friendly, and taking our order and getting the food was quick. After the food arrived, though, it was a little difficult to flag down a server to order more and later to get the check. Still, it was understandable given how busy they were, constantly collecting orders and putting out food. Overall, Canton Palace is a great find for anyone looking for this style of Chinese food outside of the usual New York neighborhoods.

As someone who cooks I was extremely disappointed. I should have sent back but they didn't seem to have any interest in our experience & there was a language barrier. Gets a star because hot and sour soup was fine and was heated appropriately and the sesame chicken with broccoli was good. Also can't give zero stars here...... wish I could. They charge $4 for rice and then grudgingly package it with leftovers. Entire restaurant had open tables but they stuck us against the servers alley that leads to kitchen. We had the staff behind us at a large table chattering away loudly while we tried to eat and talk. It was a mess. My husband paid the server in cash. They attempted to keep our change. I had to repeat myself multiple times asking for our change to come back. It almost seemed deliberate. So unprofessional. And yet my kind husband tipped the waitstaff generously; he's far kinder than I would have been. Not a class act restaurant. Will NEVER go back. REGRET that we chose this restaurant on our day out. =(
