The other combo was the beef w/broccoli which had no sauce and the same with the fried rice, no flavor. This place may not look like much on the outside, it didn't look like much on the inside either, but they really know what they are doing. Everyone wearing masks, the lady that ran my credit card immediately used hand sanitizer when she handed it back, I really appreciate the effort being made here. Also, good news! The food is fantastic! Loved the dumplings and dipping sauce, great flavor in the lo mein, this may have been the best kung pow chicken I've ever had- veggies were perfectly crunchy and nice big pieces of real white meat chicken. We ordered takeout from China Royal last week. We had especially mentioned the allergy situation with my kid. He was severely allergic to peanuts. We had explicitly mentioned his allergies and were assured that it would be taken care of. But the food caused severe allergies, and we had to rush to the Bayshore hospital emergency room. I ordered beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli and fried jumbo shrimp. The shrimp was good. But the beef and chicken with broccoli was totally disgusting. The beef didn't taste like real beef the texture and the flavor was horrible and same for the chicken and broccoli. The broccoli had no flavor whatsoever. I spent $30.00 plus $4.00 to tip the driver. General Tao Chicken was odd here. Looked and tasted like white meat chicken tossed in sweet & sour sauce. Didn't look or taste like General Tao at all. Wasn't great. Wouldn't exchange it because he claimed i ate some, I said I reheated it in the microwave thats how I I noticed the lack of protein. We were glad to see CR open back up again. We have ordered twice in the past month or so. The lunch specials are great. Ordered dinner last night. Shrimp toast was not the best, not shrimpy at all. Orange chicken not spicy at all even though it is advertised that it is. If we do order spicy dishes from there again we will make sure to mention to actually make it spicy. Just moved to Laurence Harbor and I've been here 3x's always for lunch specials...chicken and shrimp are great. Never had a complaint. Food is always hot and fresh and good prices. I tried their new location that is across the street in the newly built plaza. The restaurant is very clean and all of the cooks wear masks which is reassuring during these times. The place appears to be closed down. Nothing is inside when you drive pass it. It's really sad how COVID-19 seems to have crippled this business and they couldn't recover. This is my weekly spot to get Chinese food. Boneless spare ribs combination with pork fried rice. Very big portion and they remember my order. I ask for a plastic fork and yellow mustard once, and they include it every time now. I don't even have to ask. Less than a minute on the phone every single time and when I tell them to call when outside they always do. Would definitely recommend them! Their kitchen is the cleanest I've ever seen too. I just order , waited 45 minutes for my food. General Tsos shrimp dinner and General Tsos chicken combo- I don't eat pork. I don't have a menu. I've ordered from here numerous times. But today. Somebody had a hissy fit at this restaurant when I called and said the order was wrong because I didn't ask for pork fried rice. I don't eat pork. They just sent pork fried rice as a default. I found a roach in steam dumplings that I ordered from here. When I called to complain, the woman who answered was really rude and refused to refund me. I even drove back to show them the food, and they accused me of putting it in there. Overall really unpleasant experience, and I filed a report with the board of health.
