Placed an order for Barbecue spare ribs and pork lomein. I got home and opened the bag to this. I immediately called and reported the food. I also ordered chicken wings ( not pictured) and the smell of old grease engulfed my car. When I called I was told there was nothing wrong with the food and this is the pork that all Chinese restaurants are using. I told her we have ordered from them several times in the past and have never received food like this. She said if I wanted a refund I had to drive alll the way back and bring the food back. I did. Upon arrival she grabbed the bag and began to tell me AGAIN that there's nothing wrong and this is how all the Chinese food restaurants are serving their food. Despite living in Chester for well over 2 years this is the first we've tried China Wok. While we don't eat Chinese food often we like having solid option(s) nearby. I called in for takeout at noon. The telephone ordering process was cut & dry and I was glad that when I asked I was assured that they don't use MSG. I ordered General Tso Chicken & my Wife ordered Chicken w/Garlic Sauce. The food was ready when they said it would be. Despite the drive home, the egg rolls were hot, crispy and the ingredients tasted fresh. Our food was piping hot. The fried rice wasn't salty at all & actually tasted like rice. We definitely have China Wok at the top of our list of Chinese restaurants for next time. read more

I ordered food and specifically asked for no vegetables in anything (boyfriend has allergies) when I arrived and checked my food they added carrots( which he's allergic too) I told them about his (deadly) allergy ,they simply told me to remove the carrot. when I told them he'll die ,the cooks in the back proceeded to catch an attitude and trying to dismiss me and my problem. now I'm wait an extra 30 minutes for food because they couldn't follow a simple instruction. I had shrimp fried rice. It was extra greasy and the rice was way overcooked. I gave this place 3 chances and they struck out!

Eggrolls are mushy, orange chicken disgusting, my wife was sick for 2 days after taking one mouthful of the pork and vegetables. We confirmed the prok smelled rotten, something was definetely wrong. Reported it to the VDH. Needless to say we will never get food from here again and we do not reccomend it to anyone. read more

STAY AWAY! First let me say that just because there's a supposed pandemic, and these folks feel a need to build a plexiglass fortress to stay open doesn't mean that they should be rude. The girl at the counter(?) is the face of this business and she may have the worst customer service skills and approach in history. Not a 'Hi', or a 'Thank You' or even a 'Screw you'. I haven't felt so unwelcome since that one time in Memphis (but, that's another story)... The place is filthy for starters. I'm starting to wonder if I will wake up in the morning. Eating and serving surfaces seem okay, and there is only plastic to eat with, so sanitary conditions may be okay. The food was actually pretty good. It does not make up for the service and atmosphere, but pretty good. I would suggest that if you try this place, call ahead for take-out, so you can spend as little time in the establishment as possible. Your experience will probably be much better. read more

Ordered a pint of fried rice. Only ingredients were rice and bamboo shoots. I was shocked. Usually there's also other goodies, carrots, scallions and egg. Not here! I had to pay extra for egg. Cost me $5.76. Without the egg dish cost $3.75. Was very bland. So disappointing. read more

The worst Chinese food I ever had in my life! I got the general tso's chicken combo with lo mein. The sauce was salty and the chicken was decent but the egg roll was terrible it was hot tonight the outside and cold on the inside and was very mushy. The lo mein was the worst item out of everything it was so salty from the soy sauce that I had to throw it away it was disgusting. I came across this place accidentally while on a business trip in the Chester, VA area. I'm from NY/NJ area and am picky when it comes to Chinese food. This place was a close match to what I remember as the "real deal". I ordered the fried chicken wings w/pork fried rice combo. So far this is the best Chinese we've found in the Chester area. The garlic chicken was nice and mildly spicy. The General Tso's was crispy, spicy, and sweet. The egg rolls are okay. The rangoons were also only okay. Their house sweet and sour sauce is weak. The amount of white rice provided with entrées is skimpy, but that isn't a deal breaker. This was my first time eating at this location. I got the egg drop soup and steamed pork dumplings. My friend got the bourbon chicken lunch with fried rice and wonton soup. The egg drop soup is very thick and eats like a meal. I think it's pretty good though just needed some pepper. The dumplings are decent especially if you dip them in a side of general Tso sauce. My friend did not like the bourbon chicken at all. I tried a piece and it definitely left a funky after taste. Even the smell is off putting.
