I am very surprised at the 5 star reviews. This Chinese didn't get close to mediocre. Boyfriend had orange chicken & only ate 1/4 of it. Never happened before at any other Chinese restaurant. Egg rolls seemed commercially made & were soggy & cold in the center. I think they were not cooked thoroughly, which killed my appetite, due to fear of illness. $30 for 2 dishes & egg rolls is not an issue to me. Unless it's not edible. read more

What a divine surprise!! Traveling through town, expecting to have very few options for food, and to my surprise I found China Wok. Wanting to get to the hotel and relax, I called in take out and I am so glad I did. I ordered the shrimp with cashew nut and it was perfect. You won't find much Asian food in the Hill Country and ChinaWok is a welcome addition to the usual fare. Generous portions are served fresh and fast at very reasonable prices. Every dish I've tried has been very good. Nothing fancy - you place your order at the counter and your food is served in plastic "to go" containers, but unless you're looking for fancy decor this place is highly recommended. read more

If you are looking for a fancy decor with China and silver cutlery, this place is NOT for you. BUT if you want fresh, hot good quality, generous portions, and reasonable prices then this place is a diamond in the ruff. Servings come in to-go containers and Styrofoam plates but these are a minor inconvenience compared to the food. We had General Tso chicken, garlic pork, and sweet and sour chicken along with the steamed pot stickers and brought food home. Atmosphere is inedible in my opinion. Try it, you'll like it. read more

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday while coming back from Enchanted Rock. The place was packed and rightly so. You can't go wrong with $5 lunch specials. Pork fried rice and egg roll with every lunch special and a bottle of Sriracha on every table. read more

Excellent!!! If you are vegetarian or vegan, look no further. The vegetable dishes are delicious and are not made with any kind of meat broth. It's a small family business and the food tastes very homey. It's clean and neat. They've done an excellent job, being that they are completely run by family members. This place is a hidden treasure. The owner is extremely nice and his family runs the kitchen in the back. The interior is dim and has an authentic Chinese vibe going on. Love it. The food, though, is the real highlight. Ingredients are fresh tasting and bursting with flavor. Everything is hot when served, just excellent. My only complaint is that they use styrofoam plates and cups, which are truly terrible for the environment. They also don't have a liquor license so they don't sell any alcohol. Outside of that, this place is worth every penny. I'll be back for sure read more

What a delight! Sunday afternoon, hungry in Llano, Texas & few choices. Found ourselves in ChinaWok. The old rock building & wooden floors gives it a welcoming feel, the food was tasty (maybe the best Hot & Sour soup I've ever had!) but the sweet couple who are the proprietors made my experience joyful. This place is great! We were a little nervous about eating Chinese food in Llano but the people are super friendly and food is great. Recommend the steamed dumplings, hot sour soup, and the combination Lo Mein. We will now stop every time we are driving through llano. read more

They use the same sauce for every dish. The food is greasy. The egg rolls taste like they were store bought from Sams and heated in a fryer. Nothing made in house here - if it is the chef - correction - microwave operator needs training. read more

We are regular customers for Michael. Food is always hot and filling. Love getting it in the tupperware too. It says pricey but not really. Order from the lunch or combo menu and you will get plenty to eat for a good price. Also Michael never seems to forget a face. We love being greeted with "nice to see you my friend". read more

I love this place! I'm from Austin and I stop by there every time I come to visit my grandma who lives in Mason. In my personal opinion, it's the best Chinese food I've ever had!
