I live about 15 miles north of this place. I've tried allll the spots closer, there's no comparison. Just so you know, the dining room was clean. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me with a smile. My food was ready and hot! Drive 15 miles home, still hot. 2 different lo meins, perfection. Steamed dumplings, stop...perfection, egg rolls, fresh, light, crunchy. Done to perfection. Not sure if I should mention that the owner snuck in a free treat or not but it was much appreciated and delicious. I paid full price. My first time here. 10/10. We haven't ordered Chinese food since we moved to Bucks County from North Jersey and were in the mood for it one day, so we gave China Wok a try. It is an interpretation of Chinese food, but it was certainly nothing like what we have ordered from other restaurants. The Chicken Fried Rice was literally that- no veggies and a quart was over $11. The Wonton Soup has veggies in it and a couple of wontons, but did not resemble traditional wonton soup. The chicken with broccoli and chicken with mixed veggies were bland. I could see where some people may enjoy this food, but it was extremely disappointing and did not satisfy our Chinese food craving. read more

I don't really have anything good to say about it. The food wasn't very flavorful and all I could taste was the (copious) oil it was cooked in. Bucks County overall suffers from a lack of notable Asian food, and China Wok isn't doing anything to change that. The food was fresh, at least? Really hot. That's what the two stars are for. I wish it tasted like something. Anything. Oh, the inside looks like a death chamber where Dexter might pop out at any time. Just a weird empty space with boxes stacked up and plastic barriers erected because they're apparently extremely afraid of CoVID-19 late into 2022. Trying to be kind but need to give an honest opinion since new owners took over... we're locals so we frequent China Wok regularly Since new owners took over we've ordered several times to give it a chance each time is more disappointing..Generals chicken (our go to) is mushy with the oddest spices in the sauce , fried rice is tasteless, we actually threw out other dishes we ordered I hope they level up the quality of meats they are using and the dishes they are sending out as the community deserves a good chinese restaurant and will really support it if they do! read more

I went into the China Wok for takeout. I purchased Low Mein with pork and pork fried rice. It was really good Chinese food. This is a no frills place of business. They have taken out the seating so it is take out only. Price was $$ which is a great price for what I got. I had two meals out of my order. The people are very accommodating. They work behind a glass window so you have very little contact with them they are reacting to Covid by having as little contact with their customers. There is plenty of room to park since it is Plumstead Square. I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious. read more

We ordered from here as we have in the past. Apparently there are new owners. I ordered Shrimp and Scallop Hunane which is supposed to be spicy. There was literally no spice and no flavor. Old owners used to use large scallops, new owners are using tiny scallops and there were not very many. Husband had General Tso's which he said was good and had the spiciness he expects. Egg roll lacked flavor as well. Wish we had a better choice for Chinese in the Doylestown area ! Don't know why Yelp is listing me as being from California ! read more

I used to frequent China Wok in Plumsteadville and enjoy their food very much, however now that the new owners took over the food is mediocre at best and they are price gouging to the point of ridiculous. I started with their wonton soup as a test because if that is bland and lousy then it's not a good sign and it was just that. My chow mein was tasteless . I grew up in NY Chinatown so to even compare taste and quality is out of the question however it's sad to say that I will not be returning to this restaurant that I used to love and I'll stick with New China in Jamison which is a great take out place with Combo dinners that are delicious for $8.60 as well as other delicious Ala Carte offerings and the owners bend over backwards to please or fill certain requests. As a second resort try Chins in Doylestown now under new ownership as well and again a bit pricey. They are pretty limited if you request something simple but not within their rules. Proof positive people can be in business with zero business savvy or comprehension that we support them therefore give the people something other then poor quality for big bucks and lip service if you ask for something you'd like without getting a song and dance . I ordered a lunch special and requested my friend rice be in a small white container so all the sauce did not smother it . The answer was NO! I would have given them heir price fur the container but it was an emphatic NO which boggled my open mind . Hard to believe people could be so limited to deny a customer a simple request but that's how they operate at Chins . If you really want the best gourmet Chinese around travel to Horsham to Wing Lee. A bit pricey but the quality is well worth the drive and the money ! No disappointments here and the atmosphere for dining is relaxing and lovely . Since the new owners took over, the food is not the same. The service is not the same. The food is similar to when the old owners were there but it is just different. The lady which usually is at the counter is kind of rude. My mother was paying with a card, and the lady said "no cash?" which when my mother told me she said that I felt weird but it is what it is. Would love for the old owners to come back somehow, that would be very great. read more

How much oil can you add to China Wok's food? Lots! Somethings are consistently the same every time, like over-fried eggrolls, fatty spare ribs and when did Chinese vegetables become mostly broccoli and green peppers, little of anything else. I've been getting Chinese food here since I was a kid and I still do. The Food is always great with quick and friendly service. Although I do miss when you could dine in there. They pretty much barricaded the dinning room with boxes and built a wall inside for a take out service only. Most likely due to covid, but I always get takeout on my way home from work anyways. read more

This is a Chinese Food take out place although you can eat in if you like. So if you are looking for elaborate ambience, you are in the wrong place. If you are looking for really good Chinese food, you are in the right place. We come here often and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly but if you go at prime time expect them to be busy. They have always been willing to customize my orders and are responsive to food allergies and taste preferences even when busy. We love the food and of course have our favorites. The place is very clean and family owned. The owners have been here forever and many of the staff live locally. This is not a chain. They seem to take pride in their business. This use to be my go to place, but the last three times we ordered there it has gone down hill. There's only two good cooks, yet everyone cooks. I had ordered a pint of veggie lo mein and a pint of chicken lo mein. The veggie lo mein was excellent, but the chicken one was inedible. The boneless chicken dish was extremely skimpy on the vegetable portion of it. Ribs were good. My advice...don't place a big order so you're not out too much if it's inedible. This is your typical Chinese take-out restaurant. They have lots of tables inside but most of their business looks to be take-out. They have the standard Chinese menu and the food takes like your average Chinese which is a-okay by me considering I've had way worse. The prices are really reasonable. If you're looking for high quality Chinese food but that will cost a lot more go to Gourmet Wok in Chalfont. If you're just looking for a typical Chinese meal that will satisfy your craving (and be easy on your wallet), you'll get that here for sure. read more

Ate take-out from here tonight, the food is OK. This the best tasting Chinese food in D-town. All of the others are horrible. I have had the crab&cream cheese wontons, the noodles, fried rice, egg rolls, fried and maybe a couple of other items. What I have had is good but certainly not the best I have had.
