My family and have gotten food at golden china many years. I've heard from many other people they strongly don't recommend the dining experience. But I've always preferred to decide that for myself. It's the end of 2024 in less than a week. I have finally decided that I have to agree with other recommendations. The service has always been good. Very polite, friendly etc.accept for last few visits not to say that my last visit was not terrible. This review has not much to be concluded by service alone. The quality of the food was extremely unsatisfactory. In which had to be discarded. When bringing the food back from pick up location I noticed an unpleasant smell. I found that odd but not completely concerning. Very much don't recommend the dining experience. read more

Highly recommend. Had garlic shrimp, general Tao, beef Szechuan, egg drop won ton soup. All were delicious. Told owner at counter we were rookies at her shop, she replied, "where you been, I'm here 30 years. I let her know we usually made our way to Chinatown. This place has very tasty food, generous portions, and fairly reasonable prices despite increases that every place has done We have been getting take-out from them since 1999. The food is very good and the staff is friendly. They remember my name and will gladly make a substitution of a vegetable in our dishes. Also, for the diet conscious they will steam the combination plates instead of stir frying in oil. My wife gets the shrimp and lobster sauce combination platter and it is delicious with large tender shrimp. The rest of us have also gotten excellent General Tso's chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Roast pork in garlic sauce, Egg Foo Yong, Szechuan shrimp and boneless BBQ ribs. She recently told me that they make their own egg rolls and they are always delicious, fairly large and generally not oily. Yum. We hope you try this local business and enjoy it as much as we do. The sisters who own it are friendly, accommodating and always great to talk to and even learn some Chinese. Family run and food is always fresh and delicious. SIMPLY FANTASTIC! I've ordered takeout from here probably five or six times, and each time I have been wowed! Their food is consistently fresh, tender, and delicious. Everything is always piping hot, yet never dried out. Best yet, the food is WICKED CHEAP! Tonight my dining partner and I ordered five pint-sized entrees, a quart of soup, and steamed dumplings (8), and the total was just under $40. They give you a TON of food for your buck. I always feel like I'm robbing them so I give them a fat tip! =D Be aware that although they take cards, you can only leave cash tips. Terrific General Tso's - not sickeningly sweet, and with a little heat. Never dried out. They are generous with both their meat and veggies. Every meal I've had here was well-balanced and satisfying. let me start by saying that the food here is and has always been delicious. I have been eating here my entire life and rarely have a complaint. Tonight my girlfriend and I ordered food here and it was her first time. she order cheese wontons, one of her favorites. When we got the food home she took a bite and realized that it had crab in it. She absolutely hates seafood which is why she doesn't order crab rangoon and orders cheese wontons instead. usually we would just deal with it and move on but since this was the only thing she ordered I called the restaurant and talked to the lady who took our order. She proceeded to down talk me and tell me that cheese wontons and crab rangoon are the same thing and the name just varies from state to state. i tried to explain to her that is not the case and that we order this often elsewhere and it comes without crab. I even explained that some restaurants offer both options but that got me nowhere. I was not offered a refund or something else in exchange for it. the fact that the woman had the audacity to try to make it seem like I didn't know what I ordered absolutely blew my mind. will not be back while she works there. read more

Stopped in on Friday night as I come many times over the last 11 years or so. It's a take out with a few chairs for waiting and some soda bottles. I ordered a quick simple meal a pint of wonton soup and a pint of shrimp fried rice. The soup had nice hot broth with plenty of wontons, slivers of pork and some chopped scallions. Very tasty. The shrimp fried rice was fluffy and tender with excellent medium sized shrimp. When the order was ready I requested the real hot mustard which they make there. That's sort of hidden in the cooler behind them and you have to ask for it. It definitely opens your sinuses. All in all a nice experience ordering with little wait time, a tasty meal, and they even have a girl helping who could speak Spanish if needed. Will be back. read more

Food was lack luster in flavor. I got the beef mei fun and seafood soup and I literally had to add things to both to give it some sort of flavor. My husband had the general tso's chicken and same deal no flavor or seasoning. I'm not sure how this place is getting such rave reviews. This is our go to for Chinese food. The food is always tasty, fresh and hot when delivered. My personal favorite is sesame chicken and boneless spare ribs. I think their food is really good. Everything is just a little better than the other local delivery places. Prices are pretty good, delivery is an acceptable length of time. I would give 5 stars except there are a few little things. They are hard to order from. They don't have a web presence, sometimes they don't answer the phone, they get the order wrong, they don't tell you the total when you're placing the order, stuff like that. Wanted to find a better local Chinese place. This one had few but good reviews. While ordering i felt a bit rushed. I ordered extra spicy general tso chicken with white rice and egg roll combination ($8.50). I also asked for a side of crispy noodles. When finding the place it was not in the location that Yelp provides. It is in the shopping center on county line road and newtown road immediately west on county line. The interior could be nicer. One table and a couple chairs and a fish tank. The menu is hard to read above the counter and is old and dated. While arriving I asked for an order of vegetable fried rice which they accommodated quickly. I also asked for a 2 liter of Pepsi. The packaging was sufficient and the price was around $15 for everything which seemed a little bit high but I was hoping it was worth it. When arriving home and opening the packaging the dishes looked great. The rice appeared fluffy and there was a good amount of chicken and broccoli. Unfortunately my request for crispy noodles was unfulfilled. The egg roll was a nice size. The chicken was really good although it didn't seem to be extra spicy. The rice was excellent. The egg roll was good although seemed like mostly dough and could've used more meat and vegetables. Overall I enjoyed the meal and recommend the place. The food is better than the appearance of the restaurant would imply. Probably the best I've had in the area so far. Just remember to ensure those crispy noodles are in the bag! read more

Golden China delivered lunch to our company yesterday for approx. 160 employees, many of whom returned to the serving tables for seconds. The egg rolls were crispy, & they & the spring rolls were stuffed to capacity (as were several colleagues!). Each entree had a distinctly different flavor, all the meats were tender & flavorful--as were the vegetables--& the lo mein & three kinds of rice were moist & perfectly cooked.
