Terrible Terrible Chinese restaurant. Please do not misunderstand me, they are kind however i am unable to eat kind . Ordered sweet and sour chicken ( decent) fried rice , egg roll, crab rangoon and egg drop soup with green onions. I spit out the egg roll that is how nasty it was. I opened the carton of fried rice and realized quickly it was just white rice with soy sauce nothing fried about it and no other ingredients. Rice and soy sauce. I took two spoonfuls of soup and that was the end of that as well. In totality I spent $37 dollars for 5 bites of sweet and sour chicken. Pictures of their "fried rice" below. I only gave it 1 star cause there is not a 0 star option. Also, if I could've got a refund, I would've.. please find another place to eat or else you'll be leaving a review just like this one. read more

Good dumplings and great fried rice! Do NOT get chow mein-for me, chow mein has ALWAYS been a noodle dish. The crap I got was chicken mixed with cabbage and it was just so so disappointing. We've been frequent customers of this restaurant for a long time, both dining in and ordering takeout, and have never had an experience like this -- unfortunately, it will be our last. The food we picked up was shockingly bad. The chicken had a grainy, slimy texture, clearly not held at a safe temperature. The beef was even worse -- it had an odd, rubbery consistency with a layer of fat congealed on top, like it had been stored improperly. The rice was undercooked and crunchy, and the noodles were completely flavorless. Everything was inedible. When we called to share our concerns, the owner was shockingly rude and combative. She refused to issue a refund and instead told us we just have "bad taste." I explained that we've had this exact dish many times before and know what it's supposed to taste like -- this was clearly not it. She dismissed that and said no one has ever complained before, and then accused me of being a thief trying to trick her. We were told to drive 20 minutes back to return the spoiled food, just so they could have the kitchen staff taste it themselves to "prove" it wasn't bad -- a practice that's not only unprofessional, but a major food safety violation. This whole experience left us not just disappointed, but seriously concerned about the kitchen's cleanliness and handling practices -- and even more disturbed by how poorly we were treated. After being loyal customers for years, this was the final straw. We will absolutely not be returning. read more

Moved to a new neighborhood so clearly I had to try out the closest Chinese food. I ordered online and went to pick it up. After ordering online it said between 20 and 30 minutes. I went after 20 and it was ready to go! Their Covid set up was a bit overwhelming but I quickly figured out what went where as far as paying and getting food. They do need some sort of bell on their door because I walked in and no one had a clue I was there for a minute or so. I ordered the small egg drop wonton soup and an order of shrimp and mixed vegetables. Everything was warm so that was a good first step. The soup didn't really have much taste, but the wonton was good. The shrimp and vegetables are huge and well sauced. Overall not bad. Will definitely explore the menu some more! We are tying all of the Chinese Fast Food places around and finally got around to China Wok. We ordered the same items as our 'usual' at other places to get a good idea of how they are. Ordered online - was easy and food was done on time. Here is a rundown of what we got: -Fried Chicken Wings: were whole wings and crisp. Good flavor and on par with others in area. We'd get them again -Egg rolls: a bit on the thin side and the inside has no flavor. Was too mushy and most have pork and this had none we could see. Seems many may get frozen and fry them up. Maybe we are wrong. We'd skip. -Krab Ragoons: we like the folded triangle shape and they were crisp and flavorful. On par with others in the area. We'd order again. -Roast Pork: we normally get boneless ribs, but didn't see them on the menu so ordered these. We mere very disappointed. Thin sliced and dry with no flavor. Hard pass on this one. -Steamed Chicken Dumplings: we liked them and they seemed on par with most in the area. We'd reorder. -General Tso Chicken: soggy and they not only skimped on the chicken (most of it was broccoli), this hardly had any sauce. Sooo dry. Hard pass. -Singapore Noodles with Chicken: chicken was extra and at $15 was the most expensive on our haul. Flavor was on point, but noodles were overcooked and mushy. -Extra white rice: loosely packed in the container and was the most bland white rice we've had. Overall, we felt there are better options in the area. Sorry to say, but they just didn't hit the mark for us. read more

I get take out from here once every few months. It's almost just like every other take out Chinese place except they are very nice here and the food is decent, the egg rolls are not greasy and soft. HUGE PLUS #1: The have FRESH crispy soup noodles - the ones that are always pre-packaged and when you order soup they grab whatever is under the counter and throw them in your bag. These are NOT stale like every other place! That's a HUGE plus and why I go here. HUGE PLUS #2: I once ordered their lemon chicken and they were out of lemons, although they told me the wait would be a bit longer, they went and bought lemons and made me fresh lemon chicken! THAT'S SO AWESOME! Who else would do that? Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'll get some Chinese later this week from them. YUM! read more

My favorite Chinese place in Tampa was closed and I was in desperate search of some noodles and soup. I stumbled across China Wok and figured I'd check it out. There's probably six tables in the hole place, it's very small if you were to dine in. The atmosphere isn't great, but the person at the counter was very friendly. I ordered my to go and sat at the chairs they had in the front for people waiting. The food was very typical Chinese food and a great quick stop if you're in the neighborhood. read more

Now , the two things that blew me away were the fact that I could call there, speak to an actual person who not only was super polite, but also competent and quick. For Americanized Chinese food, this place isn't bad. I ordered take out, and it was ready in 15 minutes. The lady at the register was friendly and offered me free soda since I spent more than $30 on the order. The spring rolls are bland, so I don't recommend them. But the roast pork fried rice, the Shanghai Mei Fun, and the sesame chicken were all solid. The chicken was nicely crispy.
