We love a good dim sum spot, and this place did not disappoint. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were able to find parking, though it's limited and we noticed others struggling to find a spot. Service was great--the staff was quick, attentive, and constantly checking in and clearing tables. Our favorites were the calamari and the fried shrimp balls--both were so delicious! It can be a little pricey, with plates ranging from about $6-$10, but the quality and service made it worth it. We would definitely be back! read more

The dishes are served family style which was not explained to us so we ended up with a lot of food to go. Everything must be ordered separate and they do not have any alcohol options. The Mongolian Beef and Potstickers are delicious! The sesame chicken had a weird off-sweet donut flavor to the battered chicken and the egg rolls were tiny with almost no filling. We would do take out or have lunch here and try other items but would not choose it for dinner. A solid place to grab Chinese food! Garlic chicken is yummy with mixed veggies. Our kids love the sweet and sour chicken. It's a little strange that they charge $1 per bowl of rice - entrees so not include rice. The service is always prompt and friendly. We stopped here for dinner on Memorial Day. A lot of local restaurants were closed but YHS was open. We started with some jasmine tea and two appetizers, the egg rolls and salt and pepper calamari. The salt and pepper calamari is delicious! Very meaty and flavorful. I wouldn't get the egg rolls again. They are small and very crispy. I prefer the large ones you usually get from Chinese restaurants. We ordered the XO spicy noodles. They were not spicy at all. Lots of seafood and thick noodles. I ordered the garlic chicken, it had mushrooms and vegetables in it too. They were both ok entrees. The YH in Orlando has a bigger menu and they didn't offer the dish I usually order. The wok sea bass. Our server was attentive but not over friendly or happy. It seemed like they were just there to serve you with zero personality. The restaurant was not very busy at the time we arrived so it was pretty quiet. Parking is out back. There were plenty of spots available. I would return and try new things on the menu. read more

Yummy house never fails with its dim sum! I liked ordering from a menu rather than just pointing at stuff on a cart, makes it less overwhelming for me. The dumplings and rolls are always a favorite; the wrappers are soft, gummy, and steamed nicely. I also always love the egg tarts, slightly sweet with a flaky crust. Too many options and I have a hard time deciding. We all ended up sharing most items. I would not leave without a salt and pepper item. We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and it was amazing. My parents were craving dim sum and this restaurant seemed to have the best reviews. We ordered our dim sum off the menu instead of carts so ordered too much food. The prices are definitely on the high side for what you receive. My family really liked the duck and Chinese broccoli. The baked pork buns were good but barely had any meat. We liked the pineapple buns and were surprised that they were filled. Everything else was pretty standard flavors - nothing to rave about. Service wasn't bad. Had some amazing Chinese food at Yummy House with a dear friend. Some do the best in the bay! I loved everything we shared from the soup dumplings to the bbq pork. It wasn't too greasy and had really good flavor. Our server was good and even though the dumplings didn't come out on time, they brought them out and they were piping hot. Way worth the wait. I was there celebrating my birthday and not one person even wished me a happy birthday and the set up of the tables was not ideal. You failed 15 people that's a lot of word of mouth. S&P combo had such a good flavor but doesn't do well as a takeaway since it got soggy quickly. We reheated in the air fryer once we got home and it was still great. I ordered the salt and pepper squid appetizer to start with as a share for the table. It was a hit. I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp for me and also an order of Garlic Snow Pea Tips. I love them! My dish was excellent with a huge amount of the glazed walnuts I love in this dish. Lots of delicious shrimp too. Had to come here after hearing good things about the food. We opted for the Buddha's Delight and Salt & Pepper Calamari. The mixed vegetables were seasoned well and the calamari was done well. Definitely has the Hong Kong vibe going on! We started with the Salt and Pepper Calamari...reminded me of tempura rather than the "Italian style" most commonly seen when calamari is on the menu. We quite enjoyed it. Best surprise on the menu was the Beef Chow Fun. For some reason, Chow Fun is not seen on menus down here. Very much a treat! Chow Fun noodles are wide, flat, and kind of transparent. I think they're made from rice flour. Hubster had the Singapore Noodles which are the clear rice noodles in curry sauce. They serve Coke products and their hot tea is a loose leaf oolong! No teabags here! Portions are very generous, so come hungry, share, or plan on leftovers! This location is maybe 1 block north of Kennedy on Dale Mabry so it feels pretty centrally located and close to the airport and I275. We are definitely coming back! read more

It's honestly always a love-hate relationship. I live across the street so I go often. The food is generally good, but service is always inconsistent. Ordering out is something that we do often too, but the time they say for pick up is half of the times inaccurate. They say 20min, go over and 50min later it's still not ready. Was looking for a spot near the airport, and I'm so glad I found this place. Honestly some of the best dim sum I've had. Each piece was so plump and juicy, and the siu mai was so delicious. I also loved their clams in black bean sauce. Their turnip cake was the best I've ever had - perfectly crisp exterior, soft interior with real chunks of turnip. Orders were taken quickly and food came out fast, but once the place filled up it was so hard to get someone's attention for the check. But overall, fantastic spot. Still my favorite place for dim sum in the Tampa Bay area. The major update from my last review is that they no longer have carts, and you order dim sum from a menu. The situation now is that your food arrives at the same time, so their challenge now is to pace out the items ordered. Place is busy on the weekend, so the best bet to get a table for dim sum is arrive when they open. The dim sum at this place used to be very delicious however, over the years the flavor just doesn't give what its supposed to anymore. Items aren't being steamed long enough such as their SHORT RIBS, PORK RIBS & CHICKEN FEET. All of them have been extra chewy and definitely could have been steamed much longer. The SALT AND PEPPER CALAMARI was also lacking flavor. Not sure if the flavor was missing from the batter or if it was missing from the garnish, but whichever it is, the flavor was NOT there. Not only is the food mid at most, the service is horrendous. First of all, it takes forever to be seated and the designated space for waiting is so incredibly small and gets crowded quickly. The last time I was there, we sat at the bar and had the displeasure of being served by Marina. She served our mediocre dim sum with attitude and it was just a distasteful dining experience overall. Do not recommend. Sadly there aren't many dim sum places around so if you're craving, you may very well just have to settle for Yummy House. *big sigh* Unfortunately, I won't be returning unless I'm being forced to (by my family). read more
