We got delivery and it was decent Chinese food, but not exceptional. They also unfortunately got our order wrong even after repeating it back to us on the phone. You also may have to call a couple times (we had to) in order for them to pickup. Hot & Sour soup - had a ton of sizeable unchopped mushrooms in it. First time I had experienced this in hot & sour and personally, not a fan of mushrooms. The rest of the soup was okay. Husband enjoyed it (he likes mushrooms a lot). 2 Egg Rolls - pretty average but hit the spot if you're craving one (which I was :) General Tso's Chicken - really good! Would order this again Sesame Chicken - we had ordered Sesame Beef, but the chicken that was delivered to us was pretty good. Very undercooked broccoli came with this & the chicken order above. White Rice - good, cooked well Total was around $41 so it is a little pricey (before tip). Not sure how much they charged for actual delivery as they never mentioned this. We will be trying other local Chinese places next time, but would recommend the General Tsos Chicken! read more

Great Chinese food, definitely on the authentic side!! I was in town and wanting to try a local Chinese food spot, so decided to try this because it seemed like a good spot. I called in an order and ordered a honey chicken dinner combination (sauce comes on the side). It comes with an egg-roll and I paid more to have the rice upgraded to the house special fried rice. I also ordered a shrimp chow fun, but am almost certain they gave me mei fun. No big deal because it was really good. I will say the only downside was that the person taking the order seemed like they were busy and didn't repeat any part of the order, they just said "ok". That could have been what caused them to confuse the noodle order. Also keep in mind this is during Covid, and many places are understaffed so probably not a recurring thing. Other than that, no complaints. They told me 10-15 minutes but the food seemed to be ready in less than 10 so that's a plus. The food was really good, the rice was flavorful and the honey chicken is a must with the sauce. The noodles were really good and had many different flavors. I would say the rice was my favorite. This is definitely a take out restaurant, although I didn't know that when I stopped in. The sign out front doesn't emphasize that. Was a bit taken aback by the worn couch and two well used booths upon entering, but ordered nonetheless once I quickly checked Yelp. The staff was friendly. The food (General Tso's chicken lunch special) came out in short order and as requested (extra spicy). I also ordered an egg roll although I would pass on that in the future. The meal itself was OK and a decent value for the price. Overall this is 3.5 star place, but I have to round down due to the myriad of signs and policies regarding use of a credit card. Surcharges if minimums not met, additional surcharges for all orders (based on fees they are charged, per the signs), etc. In the end, I just paid cash as I wasn't sure how much extra was going to get added on. As I try to run everything through a card, I have to knock the review down to 3 stars. read more

Finally found a great take out Chinese spot in south Tampa! The food was delicious and portions were large.

My husband and I tried Asian takeout for the first time and found this to be the only place nearby with a good rating. As mentioned we took it to go so I am only rating on the food and service, but we are very happy with it. I am personally not a big Asian food person so I was worried but I loved it! We ordered a combo of bourbon chicken, and one of honey chicken. Both came with a side of chicken fried rice (additional cost) and a spring roll. It totaled out to about $22. The food was still piping hot 20 minutes after we picked it up once we got home, the chicken was good and made of white meat as I prefer with little to no fat. The broccoli and carrots that came with the bourbon were also delicious. Overall great experience, definitely recommend :) read more

I love to leave nice reviews- but I feel an honest review here doesn't leave smiles. The staff was extremely courteous during the ordering and even called back to make sure eggs were okay as everything we ordered was vegetarian. Two stars for this :) The food on the other hand was not anything I would recommend. We ended up not finishing any of the 3 items we ordered and tossed the remainder rather than storing any of it for leftovers. The veggies in the vegetable fried rice tasted like they had been steamed separately with no seasoning. They were a funny texture-too soft- and didn't taste like anything. We doused it all in soy sauce to add any inkling of flavor. The general tsos tofu was okay- the only thing I would order again. The sauce was nice and tofu fried well. The bean curd and vegetable dish was also very bland and vegetables steamed to a very odd texture. I really appreciated the courtesy of the staff and attention to detail- but we ended up not eating some that we ordered. read more

I have tried this place twice now and both times the food has been so freaking good! the portions are good for the cost. the spice can be kicked up and it is still sooooo good! i've tried the shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, the krab wontons all delicious. easy and fast pick up and they're nice! small little place but gives a nice homie feel. read more

Did I eat in the same place as these other reviewers? I choose this Chinese take out based on its location AND the positive reviews here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered Orange Chicken and Pot Stickers. The Orange Chicken was run of the mill inexpensive Chinese, not impressed with it. The pot stickers were hard, never had them get hard that fast. They were even freshly cooked as I had to wait for my order. Service was also just OK, again nothing special. I'm not saying this is a bad choice but it is no better then any of the other take outs in South Tampa, most more convenient than this one for me. read more

I can't say this is anything special. We ordered two general tso chicken as well as one sweet and sour chicken combo plates. The rice was good, better than some I've had. The chicken was also breaded and cooked properly. However both sauces lacked for me. Additionally, the egg rolls contain only cabbage and other veggies so if you're a "bean sprout and shrimp" kind of person, you will not love these. The sweet and sour sauce taste like sweet ketchup and the General tso sauce was missing something I needed. Portion sizes were large. They offer mustard, soy and duck sauces. I am not a Chinese food connoisseur, but this is the best Chinese take-out in the area, I think. Tasty. The prices seem fair in today's economy. I know friends at work always have a good experience. The only deduction in points is the full-figured white guy lounging on the couch when I walked in. He hopped up quickly and moved to the cash register. He wasn't overly friendly- so sorry for interrupting your tv watching! -but did swipe my card & hand me my food. I'm not sure what his stake is in the business- but it's not a good look when customers first walk in. Just my two cents. The other guy in the back was dedicated to cooking. This review is during the Covid-19 era: First off, my order was ready to go in 15 minutes. They work super fast in the back and the food was great. Better than most takeout Chinese places I've been to in the country. My main focus during this time was how the employees went above and beyond to ensure minimal contact with customers while still being friendly and fast. When I entered they had a screen/ plexiglass up so no germs were to be spread between me and the lady running the register. All the employees had masks on and when my food was passed on to me they placed it on a separate table ensuring no skin contact to be made. I highly appreciate this restaurant still being open given the circumstances and going above and beyond to ensure cleanliness between the customer and staff. Thanks! read more

Although, the food ia good, I don't agree with them charging a 4% surcharge on orders for using a credit card. I ordered over the phone and went to pickup myself and my bill was over $33, there was no reason to charge surcharges on large amounts. read more

As far as Chinese take out goes - THIS IS IT! My spicy eggplant was loaded - so much eggplant with great layers of flavor. The General Tso's Shrimp was surprisingly good and the lemon chicken was well battered with the signature bright & citrus-y sauce. I swapped the white rice to veggie fried rice and did not realize the upgrade I was getting ! It had full size fresh veggies in there - mushrooms, baby corn, broccoli - it was super !!!! We've ordered several times. This is a hard one to write. The food is not bad...actually made a tad better than most of the takeout places. Lay likes it...I find it just OK, nothing special. I like being able to order on Yelp and have it paid for when I get there. There's just something about the place when I go in. I don't feel comfortable, and they don't seem to appreciate the business. Sometimes, I get the feeling I'm putting them out...and believe me, our order never is anything special...we just check a couple of items on their menu. That's why it's hard to write. Food is OK...maybe a point above a lot of the other places. We have tried several Chinese restaurants in Tampa. It's a fav of ours for tasty dinner that isn't pizza. For me, it's all about the lo mein and level of grease. Most Chinese spots that are take-out have super greasy food. Not so, here. Most of the dishes are super yummy. There are a few we've tried and won't again, like the House Won Ton soup and lemon chicken. We are just out of the delivery zone, so we have to pick up. They are super nice and always include enough cookies and soy sauce. They offer 2 sizes for most of their dishes, pint and quart. They also, have several menu items that come with white rice, we do pay the upgrade for fried rice. All their dishes have a lot of meat and the veggies are always fresh. We frequently get the chicken lo mein and sesame chicken. It's a solid to go choice. read more
