I love that they have tofu based meals on the menu! So many Chinese places we see do not have tofu on the menu so it's always hit or miss. The storefront in located in a nice strip mall, plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. Once inside it's your average Chinese take out spot. Customer service was average but the General Taos Tofu surpassed my expectations! There was no visible oil pooling in the sauce like so many other Chinese take out dishes. Although we live a little further north than the area where China 1 is located, our Chinese take-out places were all closed for the virus so we ventured out to find something to satisfy our craving. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, quantity and price for the lunch combos! The lunch prices are even valid on Saturdays which is unusual. Ordered the crab rangoons (mostly cream cheese so not my favorite), Kung Pao chicken combo (well done and the spice was not overpowering), Chicken Chow Mein combo (great sauce and loaded with veggies), Orange Chicken combo (perfect ratio of spice with orange flavor) fried won tons (nicely filled). The only thing I would not order again were the rangoons based on my personal preference of what I like. Everything else was a hit - cheap Chinese prices with high end Chinese quality! One of the best I've ever had! Actually arrived about 20 minutes early, although I did make a early order. Ordered cheese steak egg roll (good, but I think I would skip it next time, felt like having a cheese steak with Chinese), steamed dumplings which were perfect, Szechuan beef which was also awesome (large container that I couldn't even finish), and just because I like to try the chicken fried rice everywhere I go, I got a pint, I'm picky and ask for no peas and carrots (not sure if they were in there to begin with), but also awesome!
