Not eating this. It's not good. I tried it. It's like paste.

I'm so mad at myself for giving them another chance. I tried buffet two years ago. Not impressed. They do have rice noodles, but "cannot" use them instead of Lo mein in soup. No phone call (dash), just charged me and made it wrong. I called, they said "they cannot do that". I asked why. No reason. I won't be ordering again. They're not that good, so no skin off my back. But I won't recommend, EVER. It's sad. All I asked for was rice noodles- not sure why they can't use them instead, but it's their policy.....

absolutely the best for luch and dinner, amazing service and food and very friendly staff, quality food unique ambiance compared to other other spots I trie.

My normal Chinese place was closed so I decided to give this one a shot. I ordered the honey chicken, sub lo mein and added the 2 crab Rangoon and teriyaki chicken, the crunchy California roll and the Boston roll. The noodles are very bland, they needed a soy sauce bath and they were ok. Everything else was decent but I didn't even the meal with the "oh my gosh, that was so good!" satisfied feeling unfortunately. It's a lot of food but wasn't super cheap either. Will probably skip the Chinese food next time and try hibachi and more sushi. Owners were very friendly and appreciative of my business!

    "Vegetable lo mein" .....

Should have "Yelped" before trying this spot. Ordered vegetable lo mein with rice noodles and spring rolls. Spring rolls were AWFUL and cold. Vegetable lo mein was a plate of rice noodles.

Ordered lo mein Tuesday night, and received a roach in it. Manager brushed it off when called

Seriously after ordering here almost every other week for 3 years now,Tuesday night we got an extra order of cochroach in our lo mein. Disgusted beyond belief, and I hope no one else has to experience this. Called the restaurant and the Asst. Manager said "they had a roach problem, and thought they got all of them and apparently he said they didnt!!!! Sorry excuse for a business for not taking care of their customers, and pretty much trying to brush me off!

Me and my boyfriend LOVE this place! We're there almost every week…read more Pros: - the food is always good quality and I've never had a bad bite here! - the service is always quick and polite and there's hardly any speaking needed - their flavors are always poppin with little need for sauces or garnish - price is really good especially in an era of inflation Cons - there isn't much of a selection of food (but personally I believe that's what helps them keep the quality up so I can live with it. Plus you can order stuff from their takeout menu which seems to have a bigger selection. I also will acknowledge that it's a pretty small place so they might not simply have the room to address another bar. ) - there's no little bowls for sauces :( I would love a little disposable cup for my sweet and sour chicken sauce or soy The atmosphere is what on me would expect from an Asian buffet. Nothing fancy but it's clean and any "Ick" is really just wear and tear as the building is somewhat old. They alwayss play some decent (what I assume to be Chinese) music and have pretty lanterns hanging from the ceiling. I only give 4 stars simply because I'd love to see more variety or options at the buffet.

The plates are too small They overcharge for their plates…read moreYou can't order a regular plate you have to order combos that you don't need then when you do get the order, they don't know the sad condiments that come with the order. They are not the original Chinese people. They have no clue on how to make their dishes. The plates are too small when you order look at the size of the plate and ask yourself is this correct?

Enjoyments * Many fresh, hot buffet dishes…read more* Excellent egg rolls, wontons, honey chicken, black pepper chicken, pot stickers, Chinese donuts * Friendly atmosphere and attentive, gracious wait staff * Good ice cream bars for dessert * Full restaurant with only moderate noise * Great price Improvements * None that I have experienced Go YELP! Because it was my first time visiting Walker, Louisiana, I shopped on Yelp for restaurants near the place where I was to meet later that night, and when I stumbled upon this Chinese/Asian spot, I had a strong feeling, based on the highly positive reviews, that I was in for a treat there. BTW, I fully enjoy Yelp's feature that enables a person to view restaurants/other businesses near a given location before the user is in that location. But, back to the grub! You know that feeling you get when you walk into a place as if you've entered your home away from home for dinner? I rarely have that experience, but both times that I've been here, I was moved by those emotions. This place simply has quite a welcoming atmosphere. Further, I think many patrons experience these feelings as the place was packed well after the lunch hour this past Sunday afternoon. In addition to the ambiance, the buffet is stocked with a bevy of selections, and I found the dishes I heaped on my plates to be hot, fresh, and delicious. The egg rolls had a crispy, light batter with flavorful veggies inside. Unfortunately, I cannot remember all the names of the chicken dishes I enjoyed, but the sesame seed chicken, the black pepper chicken, and the honey chicken dishes definitely stood out to me. Further, I found the wontons to be a hit with a slightly crispy outer shell with a balanced mix of cheese and onions on the inside. I also found the Chinese donuts (small biscuits, sprinkled with sugar) to melt in my mouth as they were not excessively doughy and didn't taste like they'd been sitting around for a couple days before hitting my plate. The mushroom and pepper steak dishes were also very good. Before leaving, I was also blessed to find and enjoy tasty vanilla ice cream bars with chocolate coating. Yummy! In addition to the delectable eats, I was pleased and appreciative of the genuine friendliness and attentiveness of the wait staff. From my arrival to my departure, the employees seemed to be truly happy to serve me and my party. Moreover, my server was punctual in both taking my drink order and in keeping it topped off. Though I find most servers/workers of Asian restaurants to be friendlier than at other American restaurants, the attitude of the staff at Foo Chow seems to be a cut above the norm. Finally, though this restaurant was packed during both my visits, amazingly, the noise is not oppressively loud. Woohoo! Though the restaurant sits a few miles outside the main BR area, its wide selection of grub, tasty dishes, affordable cost, and happy ambiance makes Foo Chow a great first try for American Chinese food lovers.

I visited at noon on a Wednesday…read more Service was ok for a quick lunch. Staff was polite. What you want to drink, etc. and it arrived quickly. Not too many visits after we were seated. I didn't get my tea refilled after the first glass. I tried a variety of the Asian selection, pretty bland, coconut shrimp, sweet and sour shrimp, teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, etc. I likely won't visit again soon. The "American" cuisine section I did not try. The sushi was below par, even for a buffet style Asian restaurant. There were few items available and the ones I chose were falling apart as I attempted to move them from the serving area to my plate. All in all, a 3/5 choice if you are in a hurry and want to grab some items from a buffet with no wait and get back to your day. Owners may take a look at stepping the flavor and freshness up a bit, the place has great potential and I hope they look at ways to improve!

NOT GOOD | HORRIBLE…read more I arrived at this location at lunchtime 11:59 AM. The parking lot was empty with only two customers in the lobby and no cars in the drive-thru lane. Unusual, considering it was during lunch hour. That should have been a red flag for me to turn around and dine at another food establishment. But I digress. Being hungry for Chinese food, I opted for Bigger Plate with half chow Mein, half fried rice, orange chicken, broccoli beef, honey walnut shrimp, veggie spring rolls, and served with a fortune cookie for $14.36 after using a 20% Panda rewards discount. I knew I wasn't going to get the same quality Chinese food from a quick serve cooperate brand restaurant that I would get from an independently owned Chinese restaurant, but I was expecting better. The rice was cold, dry and had an unpleasant aroma and taste, and I couldn't eat it. The chow Mein noodles were cold, bland, dry, tasteless, and barely eatable. The broccoli beef and spring rolls were also not good, lacking in taste, and I did not eat it. Now, the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken were both fresh, very good and I really enjoyed them. Customer service was great, the restaurant was clean, you get a lot of food, but the food was horrible. Date of Visit: Wednesday 06-10-26 Panda Express | 27698 Juban Road, Denham Springs
