I'm so mad at myself for giving them another chance. I tried buffet two years ago. Not impressed. They do have rice noodles, but "cannot" use them instead of Lo mein in soup. No phone call (dash), just charged me and made it wrong. I called, they said "they cannot do that". I asked why. No reason. I won't be ordering again. They're not that good, so no skin off my back. My wife and I had never eaten anything from here. We are sorta new to the area and are starting to branch out and trying new places. We used to frequent Central Buffet back before the corona virus and they had a hibachi grill. That was the only thing my wife ever wanted. Lo mein noodles on the hibachi grill. We've tried other places, but the lo mein noodles were on the dry side. One night, she had a craving for some, so we took a chance using DoorDash and ordered some. They arrived very hot and fresh, very moist to the point juices were pooling at the bottom of the dish. Finally, my wife found something that makes her happy, which is great for me. The rice was ok, dry with shrimp (3 I counted) tiny little pork pieces, onions and something light almost white in color, I really could not identify....rice had no seasoning ... left me kinda Meh. My normal Chinese place was closed so I decided to give this one a shot. I ordered the honey chicken, sub lo mein and added the 2 crab Rangoon and teriyaki chicken, the crunchy California roll and the Boston roll. The noodles are very bland, they needed a soy sauce bath and they were ok. Everything else was decent but I didn't even the meal with the "oh my gosh, that was so good!" satisfied feeling unfortunately. It's a lot of food but wasn't super cheap either. Phone order, web site not working. Says it is not secure ChinaWok1.com. Manager says nothing is wrong, OK-I made it all up. Oh well. It took 1.5 hours to get the food which was the wrong order. I was so excited when I realized China Wok delivers! The food arrived hot and fresh within 30 minutes or so. Their prices are great, the portions are big, and the food is so good! Plus, the delivery guy was warm and friendly, with a huge smile on his face. I couldn't even get halfway through the portion of orange chicken without being completely stuffed. That may have had something to do with the "add on" veggie lo mein, which was only $2 and surprisingly large for the price. So many places have a tendency to over cook veggies, but China Wok has it down. They were crisp and fresh. The chicken noodle soup was too bland for my preference, but I was able to spice it up with some sriracha and garlic. Their shrimp toast? OMG. Their shrimp toast is the best I've ever had. I was really excited to find out that there was a delivery service in livingston parish that not only offered Chinese food, but sushi as well. The food was average. However, my biggest issue was with the "sushi" rolls that were delivered. The rolls were very disappointing and the ingredients tasted less than fresh. Additionally, they were delivered with nothing else (wasabi, ginger) which I kind of expected to get with the 30 dollars for 3 rolls price tag. The only major selling point for this place is the convenience of delivery. Otherwise, I would recommend one of the other take out places instead. read more

Use to really like their food, delivery was a plus being we lived in the country. Ordered a certain item ( one I really liked) and when it I got home with it..it was NOTHING like the food I had ordered before. When I called, their reply was they changed the way they cooked and prepared it, then refused to deliver something else. What I got was basically was a nasty frozen boneless breast, cut in cubes and served with some type of tasteless sauce.
