Y'all stay away from this place. Very recently maggots were found in their broccoli. Update: I reported to the health department about this.

Great service. ! Kind a quirky but cool place…read more My wife ordered the flounder and crab and I had shrimp and grits. Crab dip appetizer. Appetizer was great. - really nice The only reason for 4 out of 5- very little / non- existent crab with slightly too fish my flounder. The food however was a let down. The She-Crab Soup was very good, but that's about where it ended. They were out of cornbread during our visit. Fried Calamari was very small pieces where the batter took center stage. It was a big portion but it was tough to notice the actual calamari. The Fried Green Tomatoes had a ton of flavor but were overpowered by the pimento cheese. Not a great dish, but certainly wasn't bad either. Then there was the buffet, lots of southern classics like black eyed peas, collard greens and such. I thought the stewed tomatoes and okra were pretty god and the macaroni and cheese was acceptable. The fried chicken had good flavor but the pieces were past their prime. I went for thighs as they are the most forgiving of time and temperature abuse but even the thighs were shriveled and lifeless. The ribs were a bit tough, the mashed potatoes tasted watery, like no butter or cream was involved at all. The beef gravy looked dark and beefy... but had zero flavor. There was one other dish I believe was corn pudding, or perhaps a cornbread stuffing... but it only tasted like watery cornmeal. I had hopes of a nice southern meal with slow cooked sides and savory meats, but the salt and pepper shaker were needed to doctor up my first plate and I lost interest in going back for seconds. I could imagine the fried chicken as the star of the show... if only it was fresher during my visit.

But once you do, you will find this to be a very adequate buffet experience. First of all, this restaurant is tucked in the corner of a strip mall located in a larger complex with multiple Asian dining options, including two different. Korean restaurants. But they are plenty of parking spaces. So you shouldn't have any issue here. The restaurant is not extremely large but has plenty of seating. And on the Saturday afternoon that we visited we were immediately seated. Now the restaurant is a bit dated, and the booth we were in definitely shows some wear and tear with both bench seats having the vinyl split right down the middle. There are a couple of TVs on running Fox News, and the dining room is relatively quiet with just the chatter from other tables and booths. The selection of food is pretty good given the size of the restaurant and the overall price point. They have pre prepared sushi, hibachi and a plethora of fried food options, both on the Chinese and American side. They have a small dessert menu, but not much in terms of options. They have a pretty impressive fresh bar with fresh peeled shrimp, mussels, and oysters, which I was a bit, surprised to see. The oysters were refreshed while we were there, so I decided to try a couple and they weren't bad at all. I'm usually a bit nervous about trying oysters at buffet, but they did a good job of keeping them really iced and chilled. Service was also really good with the owner greeting new customers as they walked in and our server staying on top of our drinks and picking up our empty plates promptly. And the best thing about this place is the price. For two people our total bill came to a little bit over $40. This is a really good value given the variety and the service. Definitely will be a standard in my rotation of buffets here in Savannah.

They have a nice mix of Chinese food and traditional American comfort dishes, so their buffet has plenty of choices to make everyone happy . They also have a nice dessert section, hibachi grill (included in the buffet price), sushi, and a decent salad bar. I have always been able to be seated rather quickly even during their busy times at lunch and dinner. They can accommodate solo diners and large groups. There is plenty of free parking in front of the business. They are conveniently located right off highway 80, so you are able to avoid most of Poolers Outlet Mall traffic. It is a great spot if you desire variety as your meal.

We were looking for something…read morecasual but filling for dinner and because we had not tried out this place yet but had driven by several times, we decided to check it out. Definitely a great decision on a hunch. This is an all you can eat hot pot concept and frankly my first time attending this version. While I have visited hibachi restaurants in the past, this is not that. Basically this is a dual table side prep concept where you can either make your own custom soups and broths, and hot pot seafood or you can select the grill and grill of a variety of fresh meats and fish and vegetables, or you can get both. Both come with a small dessert bar and seem to be accompanied with the additional Fresh salad and sauce bar, although I'm not quite sure if one of those may have been restricted if you did the grill only or the hot pot only. Pricing is pretty fair at about $30 a person which rises to mid 30s if you decide to get both options. We went with the combo because we had never tried this concept before, but in the future, I may lean more towards the grill option only. Especially if I'm not in the mood for hot pot or soup. But I definitely enjoyed the combination choice for our first visit. The meat and vegetable selections at this restaurant are pretty vast and this is after the server first sets you up and allows you to pick from several different types of broth for your hot pot. In addition, they have a sauce bar that must've had 20+ sauces available to choose from. I think one of the most overwhelming aspects of this concept is lack of familiarity with the right combinations of hot pot and grilled options. For this we leaned heavily on our server and she did a great job of guiding us through a couple of her favorite combinations, as well as some of the favorite combinations of other patrons. This was really helpful because there isn't a menu or chart to help you unlock all of the really cool combinations that you can put together including Ramen udon and Thai soup varieties. All of the ingredients you need to make any of those dishes, but in your own customize version, are here to your heart's desire. Service is really good as they do switch out the grills rather rapidly as they will get charred and start to burn and smoke after three or four rounds of fresh meats and veggies slapped on them. However, they do not switch out your broth choice so once you make your choice, that's what you're rolling with for the rest of the dinner. All in all we were really satisfied with the freshness and the preparation of most of the ingredients and sauces. I did think the dessert bar was a little weak given the multitude of options elsewhere, but I also understand that this is consistent with the cultural preferences, which don't skew as heavy on traditional sweets, like American taste do. All in all this is definitely a treat for those looking for a great date night or just looking to take the family out for a really engaging and tasty cook at your table experience - all you can eat style!

The ambiance was quiet and really enjoyable--perfect for a relaxed meal. The broth could use a bit more flavor overall, but the spicy one was definitely the standout. Himalayan Curry Kitchen in Richmond Hill is hands down one of our absolute favorite restaurants…read more The service is always warm and welcoming, and the food--every single dish--is nothing short of phenomenal. We've celebrated so many special moments here, from Diwali to my son's first solid food (butter chicken, of course!), and it's become our go-to spot for both the lunch buffet and countless family dinners. There is truly something for everyone on the menu. My personal favorite is the paneer makhani, while my kids are obsessed with the butter chicken (I can't blame them--it's incredible). The chicken tikka masala, curries, and kormas are all rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. My sister and I can't resist splitting the chili paneer, and we never sit down without ordering a few vegetable samosas and plenty of garlic naan for the table. It's just as delicious when ordered on DoorDash--which we do often! My only complaint? They're closed on Mondays, and for whatever reason, we always crave it on Mondays. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful, and consistently outstanding Indian food, you can't go wrong with Himalayan Curry Kitchen. It's a true gem in Richmond Hill, and we feel lucky to have it close by.

I've had 2 interactions with this business…read more The first was a catered house party. The food was delicious, and a great value for the money. It was excellent overall! The second time was the Weekend Buffet. The variety of options was great... all the Indian staples were well prepared and tasty. My personal favorites were the goat vindaloo, and the tandoori chicken. There were many good vegetarian choices as well. This is nearly a 4 star visit, but the service was solidly average. The waiters came around, but at one point I had a small mountain of used plates and bowls on the table. The restaurant itself was clean, but not overly so. Overall, Himalayan Curry Kitchen is worth a visit to fix those Indian food cravings.
