Spectacular find! All the staff was friendly and thorough. Pretty expansive menu. 5 in our party, we ordered a bottle of wine ($21) a sake $12 I think. 4 appetizers and 5 entrees- only $150. Portions were pretty healthy sized. Only downside- apparently missing a bartender so no mixed drinks but not a deal breaker. Highlights- Edamame with Chili and Garlic, Dan Dan Noodles, PadThai, Crunchy Chicken Tacos and Chicken Wings ( Super Spicy) One note- they appear to share a kitchen with the Indian restaurant next door. Most dishes had a bit of a kick to them, alright by me. The waitress did , however, ask about spice levels when taking our order. I get to this area once or twice a year and can't wait to go back. 08/31/24 - party of 2 My review of Wild Ginger is long overdue. This place is so lovely, warm and welcoming, and the food is superb! Their large menu features many vegetarian and vegan dishes with a good variety of dishes for meat eaters as well. I had the Wild Ginger Stir Fry Tofu ($14) in a delicious curry sauce with a kick but not too hot to enjoy, with perfectly seasoned tofu and vegetables. I noticed their dessert menu when we sat down and had plans for the mango cheesecake ($7) but I was too full from dinner, even had leftovers to take home. The restaurant is really the perfect size - not too big to feel lost and small enough to feel intimate. It is beautifully decorated and super clean. Service was great and we never felt rushed. Wild Ginger is one of the best kept secrets in Pooler. It is connected to Naan, which is also an awesome Indian restaurant. Wild Ginger is Indo Chinese with some Thai food selections. Their food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Their thai curry is delicious. Their chicken fried rice, chicken tacos, dim sum, spice lamb, mango cheesecake, ....all delicious. This might have been some of the best Mongolian beef I've had in a really long time. Nice and crispy with a very flavorful sauce with fluffy rice. The restaurant was small and we had to wait a bit on a table even on a Monday night. But it was clean and bright. The drink was good and strong and the wait staff was nice and attentive. The service was good, took a long while to get water and the check, but they were friendly. The Crispy Wonton Tacos are a fan favorite and I see why. Very decadent, maybe a little too much sauce but it is super food. I tried the Mongolian chicken and was just not impressed with the lack of flavor. We only ordered drinks and appetizers, but everything was so good and filling that we didn't even make it to the entrées. Sweet redemption!!!! My parents have recently gone plant based and they were in town visiting and wanted to try Wild Ginger based on the great menu items for their diet. Like last time, place was clean, people were friendly and happy, got a seat right away for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon And had a high chair for the baby. I ordered the same dish I had last time, the Singapore street noodle and we shared edamame as an app. I asked for some simple steamed veggies for the baby and they were so kind and asked specifically what he'd like and brought him a little side of carrots and broccoli only. The edamame was off the charts delicious!! The noodles, sooooo good!!! So much flavor and curry, and loaded with veggies, shrimp, and chicken. I've been craving this whole thing all week! I love everything about this little restaurant. Just passing through so I have no idea if it's been here long, but they have plenty of business. The decor is nice. My partner and I just moved to Georgia and have been looking for some new places to eat & we ordered online for pickup. Walking in, the place looks great! Really good atmosphere they have going on. While I was waiting on arrival I sat for a drink and the bartender was really nice too. When we got home, the food did leave something to be desired though. I got the hot garlic chicken and she got seame chicken. They both genuinely looked really good. But the hot garlic chicken was rather watery & quite salty. Hers had great flavor, but it was pretty soggy. And the rice was definitely overcooked, or they used precooked rice, It was really mushy. I would definitely try it again sometime though. The food was so amazing. We got steamed veggie dumplings, a street style noodle dish, and their beef short ribs. All of it was amazing but the short ribs took first place in my opinion. Add two specialty drinks that were different but tasty, and we felt like it was worth the money and effort to go out. After tipping I think our total was about $65, which feels reasonable for how good the food was! The restaurant itself is cute and modern, not too big or small so it doesn't get too loud but still has a great atmosphere. The staff was kind although I do feel like they could work on connecting with guests a little more, they were very professional, fast and accommodating (the most important parts of service to me) but a little stiff. Some really great options on the menu and it is not too large. A nice size. We started with the Wonton chicken tacos. Delicious!! So many flavors and a little heat. For our mains I had the Singapore street noodles. So good! Curry flavors with tender chicken Deb had the Mongolian beef. So good! Meat was so tender and loaded with flavors. I'm a little torn on this place. The restaurant is nice and the service was good. The Fried Wonton Tacos appetizer was really good. The Singapore Street Noodles with shrimp were also good. The not-so-good was the beef entree my wife had. We split the meals and had half of each. Her beef was not spicy, asked for spicy, and the beef was tough. Glorified Food Court in the Mall Although the food was good, it wasn't exactly as ordered and my "drink" was basically a shot of tequila with some water-downed OJ (margarita apparently). I ordered the Mongolian Chicken , which says it's made with chili peppers, and I got a side of fried rice. However, the Mongolian Chicken was just Chicken with a sweet sauce and onions, which wasn't on the menu. Though it tastes good, it wasn't what I ordered. Because of this, they brought out a side of chili peppers, which is obviously not the same as cooking the dish with them. It would have been nice to have eaten a sweet/spicy dish as it is advertised on the menu. In addition, I was told if I wanted it spicy, I needed to tell them, which makes zero sense since the menu item states it's made with chili peppers. Lastly, the fried rice, or rice that is fried. Do not order fried rice if you're expecting fried rice! It's a bowl of white rice with bell peppers that has been "fried". No sauce, no onions, no egg, not fried rice. They'd be better off just charging one price with no menu, and you get what you get. read more
