In addition to noodles, the lunch special came with your choice of soup, a spring roll, or 2 crab rangoon. I opted for the crab rangoon. I also ordered 2 dim sum dishes - the shrimp dumplings ($6.50) and snow mountain lava buns ($6.50). The crab rangoon came out first, and they were delicious, hot, and crispy. Then I got the dan dan noodles. The noodles had a bit of a kick, but they weren't overwhelmingly spicy. They had a nice chew, and I slurped them up happily. I just wish there were more noodles lol, but the portions were pretty typical for dan dan noodles at Greater Cleveland restaurants. The dim sum was great. The shrimp dumplings were tender and juicy, and the buns were so fluffy. Be careful eating them though, or you might get hot, delicious egg goo all over your hands, lol. The staff is very no-nonsense. The service was efficient, and I made it in time for my Red Cross appointment. Note - the restrooms are super clean and even smell nice!

Then when I asked for a refund, I was told I would get one and then the crazy owner. That's what she identified herself as hung up on me and told me she wasn't doing anything for me even though I had taken pictures next to the pictures that I created my order from and said all of this food is different not only was it different. It was horrible. The worst Chinese food I've ever had here and I've eaten Chinese food in Singapore all over Asia. This is not Chinese food at all. It's disgusting and I would highly recommend you don't eat food from there, especially because the owner will not stand behind the food. They cook and prepare and they just hope you're on a trip like I am and won't come back because it's so terrible. Unfortunately, for them after she said she wasn't going to do anything for my order my bank realize that I sent him the information I provided him with information for the pictures and then I had also taken pictures of the food that they had given me so yeah my bank took care of me thank you very much US bank for doing the right thing. You should be ashamed of yourself Szechuan gourmet there is nothing gourmet about your restaurant and this is coming from actually a real restaurant owner. I would never ever treat my guess the way you treated me over the phone you are rude. You produce bad food and hopefully you're not in business for that much longer. It's a shame that you do that and you pass it off as Chinese food especially Szechuan maybe you should look up the province and understand the food that comes from there.

Basil Asian Bistro is an upscale Asian bistro serving up truly delicious cuisine. We visited on an…read moreearly Saturday evening and started our meal with the Dragon Fruit Mojito, which was perfectly mixed and extremely refreshing. For appetizers, we tried their egg rolls, and they might honestly be in the top ten egg rolls I have ever had--paired with the old-school hot mustard and duck sauce, they absolutely did the trick. I also tried the coconut shrimp soup; it was flavorful, creamy, and a very unique dish that I had never seen before. My wife ordered the Kani roll and the Rainbow roll, both of which featured incredibly fresh ingredients and beautifully balanced flavors. For my main course, I went with the General Tso's chicken, which was perfectly crispy and wonderfully flavored. If you're looking for an elegant date night spot to feast on upscale Asian fare, this is the perfect place.

Our only hiccup was the reservation I made through yelp wasn't picked up by them. They had no idea we were coming in....so we sat and waited looking like losers who "drop in" with 5 people like we own the place. Rather embarrassing and it was noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Oh well... It's ok. We will return but will call to make reservations next time.

There were several two-sided rows of the buffet. Much of the food was not very warm, though, and appeared to have been sitting out a long time. I got dishes I usually get a Chinese buffets: green beans, pepper steak, chicken with broccoli, lo mein, mushrooms, California roll, and crab rangoon. The food tasted OK, but the temperature was the problem. The chicken rangoon was a yummy surprise that I had not tasted before. Best part of the meal was the soft-serve ice cream. Yum! Not sure I would come again.
