My sisters and I are passing through Canton, on our way to a family event in Michigan. We are from North Carolina and wanted to try a family-owned restaurant, not a chain. Ming Lee and her husband, Mike, welcomed us and prepared us a delicious meal. We ordered egg rolls, egg drop soup, pork-fried rice, chow mien and chicken with snow peas. We tried Tasty Garden a couple months ago and they were very good. I don't know what happened but we will never go back. The portions are so small, they were more of an appetizer than a meal. The chicken and broccoli was tasteless and there were several pieces of rotten, yellow broccoli. We got pints and it was more like a cup of chicken and broccoli because they added the rice in the same container instead of a separate container like every other Chinese restaurant I have ever gone to. So I guess if you include the rice, it was a pint. Awful. read more

Just ok, wouldn't order here again.. We ordered orange chicken, veggie lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, and wanted general tso's, which was not on the menu, but they said governor's chicken was the same thing...odd because tso's is spicy and general's was not listed as such. Also had fried rice and egg rolls. Pros: there were lots of veggies in the lo mein, which was refreshing. Good customer service. Cons: the chicken was DRY...all of it. Everything was underseasoned. Dishes that were supposed to be spicy were not at all (even asked for extra spicy on the general's and it still wasn't much). The sweet and sour chicken was already sauced and was packaged together with the white rice, which soaked up a lot of the sauce (not necessarily all bad, but certainly not the norm). Other notes: if you want Chinese in 10 minutes, this is not the place. We had a 30 minute wait on a Sunday night. Also, I am 98% sure there was cinnamon in the egg rolls. Maybe just from Chinese 5 spice, but it was a bit overpowering and new to me. Beware if you're allergic. read more

This is the place to go for unique dishes and also standard Chinese comfort food. If you are vegetarian I recommend ga tao tofu and the hot and sour soup. Also the sesame chicken is crispy and very good. The fried rice is not over soaked in soy. This is my favorite Chinese in town. Lee's Panda Garden is number two. Buffet Dynasty for when I am feeling it is my go to for buffet style. read more

It may not look like much from the outside but it really is what's inside that matters. I was in desperate search of a new restaurant because China star sucks. They were very welcoming and answered any questions that I had in regards to their menu. And it up ordering the steamed dumplings in the sesame chicken dinner combination. The egg roll it was absolutely awesome dumplings were a little under done but they tasted good and the sesame chicken was phenomenal. I only wish they delivered. Small family run business definitely will make the trip back to see them again. read more

Sandy, North Canton I drive by the location dozens of times a day, it's in a strip mall, set back from the street. My loss to have not tried it sooner. Owner operators are their, doing what they do best, making great food, and talking with the customers. I had the Kung Po chicken, and was pleased with the addition of sliced bamboo shoots and mushrooms. Generous green peppers and sliced tender chicken, with enough peanuts, and spicy red pepper to bring it all together. My wife and I are empty nesters, and do carry out many nights a week. This is my new go to Chinese food spot, great people, great ingredients, great finished product.! read more

Ordered $50 worth of food and it was all really bad except the Chinese donuts but u can't really screw those up. I've been a chef for 24 years and let me tell you they dropped the ball big time. First time ordering from here and very much will be the last. First, I call to place the order didn't ask for a name or read my order back to me. Picked up the order and they looked like they were closed and in fact their open sign was turned off. We get home to finally just enjoy our food and HALF of our order wasn't even there! The food we did have.... I don't even wanna talk about honestly, I wish I would of took pictures. It smelt bad, looked bad and tasted horrible. I call them back explaining that we didn't get half our order and that the food wasn't good and they argued with me on the phone told me to bring the food back in to get my refund. This is where it gets FUN. This time I get there and they had to actually unlock the door even though they were still open I come in and I'm immediately getting argued with. I get handed $13 back, I paid $23 for my order that I just brought back to them and wouldn't even give me my full refund back?!?!?! There should be no question about getting my full refund back. No way I was going to put that food back in my car though, it smelt horrible. Horrible service and food all around. read more
