Scallion pancakes app, a dish with "3 cups sauce" forgot the name. Fried rice, General Tso's chicken, wonton soup
    Cin D.

First time trying this place. Myself and 2 friends went for lunch today (Saturday afternoon). They weren't super busy, maybe 4 other tables. Service was great, fast, very nice and helpful to explain questions we had. We tried some apps, soup, entrees and everything was soo delicious and hot/fresh! For reference, my #1 Favorite (for decades) has been King Wah in Rocky River. This place is now my second favorite. We will definitely be back. Only one thing was disappointing. I wanted to order a small fried rice to go, but she sd they only sell the rice with a meal. Its ok, no biggie.

    Lemon chicken (before adding sauce)

Everything about our lunch today was on point. Authentic & delicious food paired with great service and hospitality. We had the veg ho fun, lemon chicken, wonton soup (best I've ever had) and pork buns. Should add that the cost was completely reasonable for all, $32, and that was also with drinks.

    Spicy Crispy Fish Fillet

Really wanted to try this place compared to Asiatown's restaurant and the menu is the same and quality is pretty similar. I do wish the spicy fish came out a little crispier but flavor of all dishes were delicious and I love the decent portions. Food comes out pretty fast and there was only about 2 servers working when we went. Nice to have a solid Asian restaurant in strongsville that's authentic and affordable!

    Wonton soup - excellent

I bookmarked Szechuan Gourmet a while back and I decided that tonight's dinner night was going to be at this restaurant. The reviews were excellent, so off we went. Upon arrival around 6pm, the place was nearly empty and we were promptly seated. A waitress took our drink requests and provided menus. We requested pot stickers as an appetizer and my daughter requested wonton soup. A minute later, the soup was delivered along with the potstickers. My daughter said the wonton soup was excellent and she made it disappear quickly. The potstickers were also excellent and my expectations were brimming. For dinner, I requested General Tso's chicken, my son requested sweet and sour chicken, and my wife requested pork and vegetables. We all requested fried rice. Soon after, the food arrived. The flavors were excellent and the level of spice was noticeable, but not overwhelming. I noticed a salty taste to my dish, as did my wife. My son's sweet and sour chicken was perfect. My daughter really liked her pork dish. After eating more of our meals, my wife and I both agreed that the amount of MSG was just too much. The dishes were very salty. Later that evening, we had to keep drinking water because we were getting dehydrated. While the flavors were good, some of the dishes can be very salty. The service was excellent.

    Dried Sauteed String Bean

I genuinely did not expect such good authentic Chinese food in Strongsville, Ohio of all places! We ordered the: Dried Sauteed String Beans - I think this is a must get, these string beans were addicting. They were dried enough to have a crisp to them, but not too dry that they were hard to chew. And they had a nice saltiness to them that made me keep eating more. Mapo Tofu with Pork - the tofu was so soft and the sauce was perfect over some steamed rice Braised ribs with brown sauce - possibly my favorite of the meal. Perfectly hits both sweet and savory, and the meat was so tender. The server was also so nice, and very efficient with getting our order and bringing the food out. It was just me and my boyfriend and we easily demolished these three dishes without any leftovers just because it was so good. And we genuinely considered coming back the next day for dinner. We ended up not going in order to try another place but I will have to come back another time!

Chicken Stewed Chicken with Three Cups Sauce

I've eaten at the Szechuan Gourmet located in Asia town, and was curious to try this location wondering if they're the same in terms of quality and quantity( sorry for the comparison I was just plain curious). The quality is the same, the quantity however is comparatively lesser than that of the Asia Town one. The taste though makes up for everything, the service is quick as it's counterpart and the place is definitely an upgraded version. We ordered a pot of tea, dumplings in chilli oil, chicken in three cup sauce with fried rice (instead of regular steamed rice), ho fun noodles (with veggies). We loved everything except maybe the fried rice cos it seemed like it was simply steamed rice stir fried in oil and soy sauce, no veggies no seasonings - it seemed pretty plain except for the color which was brownish(cos of the soy sauce I assume) but the ho fun was absolutely yummmmmmm!

In addition to pho, the restaurant offers banh mi and vermicelli noodle bowls, both of which I had during my most recent visit. I opted for the special banh mi ($8.95) and vermicelli bowl with grilled pork & egg rolls ($14.95). The banh mi came with some Vietnamese cold cuts, pate, mayo, pickled radish, carrots, cilantro, and jalapeño. The sandwich was delicious. I loved the bread, which was so crispy on the outside and so light & airy on the inside. The veggies were fresh, and the cold cuts & pate were flavorful. The noodle bowl was also tasty. The bowl came with a generous amount of noodles, a decent-sized portion of tender grilled pork, an egg roll chopped up into pieces, bean sprouts, carrots, and other veggies. It was served with fish sauce on the side, which I used liberally along with Sriracha. If you dine in, there is a big bottle of sriracha at each table. In addition to being delicious, the noodle bowl was so filling. Between the bowl and sandwich, I left the restaurant stuffed. The service was quick and friendly. The vibe is very casual. All warned of the spice levels being REAL. I heeded caution while my mouth is not weak. A must, I got pad thai with chicken (any thai place that messes this up gets written off for me), pad woon sen with chicken, both at the base level spice, and their crab rangoon. I will preface that I did takeout and drove 20 mins home before I ate BUT considering that the food, the food was still hot and delicious. The pad thai had plenty of flavor, fresh veggies and green onions and the right sauce-you could taste the tamarind. The pad woon sen, while not what I'm used to with a darker sauce was delicious and had great spice, perfect sauce to coat all the goods and flavor. The crab rangoon comes in a spring roll form...which I'm not mad at but did make me want more filling to match the extra wrapper. The wrapper is also a different type of fried crunch that doesn't do the same as a wonton but again a vehicle, nonetheless. I definitely have it on my radar for the next time I'm in Strongsville. Small place in an unsuspecting plaza, which is always good, very little tables inside and a little on the dark side ambiance wise. But I don't care when the food lives up to it. If you're looking for flavor, you can't go wrong even on the mild end of the spice spectrum. Don't burn your mouth and miss the chance at tasting the authenticity.

(Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. I walked in at 3:30 and of course the place is empty, Zoweee, all for me. They didn't notice me for the first two or three minutes and I guess they didn't hear all the bells that were ringing on the door either. But I was eventually greeted warmly, sat down immediately, given an ice cold perfect glass of water. I ordered the Summer Rolls appetizer which I always order by mistake cause I like the spring rolls which are fried little fingers of goodness. But the summer rolls came out in 45 seconds and they were just beautifully presented like always. They had plenty of noodles, Julienne vegetables and just enough cucumber pieces and shrimp pieces to get noticed. The description said basil mint, of which I did not see or taste. But plenty of hoisin sauce for drizzling. Then came the entree, Mango Paradise which was chicken pieces, three medium shrimp, a bevy of red bell peppers, green, bell peppers, snow pea pods, Julienne carrots, and I believe straw mushrooms all in a brown sauce that I shared with white jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious and it was served piping hot. Those of you that read me often know I am so tired of sending food back because it's cold, but the appetizer that was supposed to be cold came out cold and my entrée which was supposed to come out hot came out piping hot. I haven't been to this place in a while and usually I go for lunch so this was a new choice for me to dine. I was served the appetizer first, they didn't rush me, the entrée came out precisely as I finished the appetizer and then of course there was so much on that plate, I eventually got a Thai to go bag. From start to finish, this was a raving experience, and I mean that in the best of ways because I could rave on and on about every single bite I took.
