Good, solid American style Chinese take-out. My go to is the chicken and broccoli platter with white rice. The portions are generous and the flavoring is just right. I prefer Chinatown Kitchen to the Thai place in Livingston Manor any day. I come here whenever I miss that Chinese take-out flavor or want to relive a Festivus for the rest of us or Jewish American Christmas in NYC moment. Solid, I'll keep coming back. I give Chinatown Kitchen an A for ABSOULTELY AWFUL. First time in my life I've thrown away food. Greasy, over soy-sauced rice. Chicken had NO FLAVOR. My husband who eats EVERYTHING threw his food out as well. Not sure what all these folks are talking about great food. Maybe there is a limit of good chinese food upstate - we were visiting from Queens. By neighborhood spot has them beat hands-down. Don't waste your $$ like we did. read more

Nasty Staff What you'd expect from it, but the staff is horrible. The same guy answers the phone and is disgustingly rude. Answers the phones like you're annoying him and nasty comments on your orders. The dude literally judges you for ordering. Have been a staple for years. My last interaction with them was so unpleasant that I'll never go back. For the past 5 years I was told my go to sauce was vegan. It's not. Apparently there is nothing vegan according to the rude man who couldn't really answer any questions. I've supported and loved their hard work in the area. I tolerated their rudeness and knowing that they've been untruthful for years about meat in my sauce is horrible. Again, I know everyone hates vegans but just be honest. Don't deceive people. Exactly what you're looking for in a Chinese-American restaurant (ie this is not "authentic" Chinese food but I doubt anyone in the Manor is looking for authentic soup dumplings). Food is the normal run of the mill chinese food...the women working the counter either really hates people or she just hates her life because she was pretty miserable to say the least. They ask you if you need any sauce and how many because if you do, they keep it behind the counter and will hand you over how many you need. Also, for our $30-40 order, you would think that they could throw us a free egg role, soda or even a single fortune cookie would have been nice but no, no fortune for us today! read more

I love this place. Traditional menu items. Good food with no surprises except good flavor. Their fried egg rolls are delicious even though sometimes A little too greasy. I get the wonton soup and the sweet and sour shrimp. Excellent. This is a no-frills place where most people order for takeout. But they do have tables if you want to eat in. read more

Very good Chinese food at a reasonable price. This place has all the standard Chinese take-out items. They also have tables so you can eat in.
