It was pretty slow here and I could tell the staff kind of was checked out for the day, but I will say they were on top refills and getting the food out fast. Egg drop soup was alright and pretty average, but at least it was piping hot. The tropical roll, never ever had a roll just like it, a combo of shrimp,crab and octopus with mango, very savory with a hint of sweet, plus the spicy honey lemon sauce was fantastic, but way more on the sweet spectrum then and spicy level. Sweet and spicy red head roll, at its core it's just a California roll, with extra steps add, it's alright, but what really shined was sweet spicy cashew miso sauce, unlike other roll sauce, this one was spicy, but not like offensively spicy, to me the sauce itself made the roll worth it. We've eaten here several times and enjoyed our food and the local atmosphere is nice and relaxed. So, we decided to try take out. Our order was ready very quickly. But our food was a major disappointment. Flat flavors undercooked dishes. Hard to tell if it was just an off night. Not sure I'll make the ride for take out again. We decided to come here for dinner as it wasn't too far from the Airbnb we are staying at this weekend and it was a great find. Food was great and the staff was very attentive! I started with a cup of Wonton Soup. It was very simple, with about 3 wontons and a few scallions, served nice and hot. Had an order of Crabmeat Cheese Wontons served with a Sweet & Sour Plum Sauce. They were very thick and fluffy and tasted great. For dinner I had the Pad Thai which was one of their House Specials. It consisted of Thai Rice Noodles with Chicken, Shrimp, Fried Egg & Vegetables with a Spicy Sauce & Roasted Peanuts. The flavor was perfect, not to sweet like many Pad Thai dishes can be, it had just enough kick to it for me and the shrimp were cooked to perfection! read more

I will say that this is by far the best service that I have ever received at an Asian restaurant! The hostess, waiters, bus staff, everybody was 100% on point! Quite impressive I must say! In all of my reviews I look at what stands out about a business and what will make me remember them a year later. Aside from their impeccable service, this restaurant makes a bunch of small changes as to set themselves apart from the other ten million Chinese restaurants out there. I started with the hot and sour soup, always a favorite of mine, and they did not disappoint! Fully loaded and not too heavy on one ingredient or another as many other places do. Next I had the "crabmeat cheese wonton with sweet and sour plum sauce", simply a unique name for their take on crab Rangoon with duck sauce. They were good, but not as memorable as the name itself! As they serve Thai, Chinese, and sushi here, I opted for the Pad Thai. It was very good, not too sweet, but I could have easily asked them to turn the heat up on mine. But I love my Thai food spicy! All in all, a very good experience that I will likely remember as they do stand out from the crowd. Job well done! read more

Bimodal distribution of culinary experiences here. Eating in I have had the snapper twice and it is delicious. One of my favorite dinners there deserving 5 stars. Last night, however, we order take out and I specifically got the schzeuan beef. It was atrocious. Maybe a quarter cup of beef and TONS of shredded carrots and other vegetables. Worst schzeuan beef I've ever had. No red peppers?? What gives? So the average of a 1 and a 5 is 3: my rating. Btw, the bar is a fun place to hang and the sushi is very good so these factoids boost it up to a 4. Just avoid anything claiming to be schzeuan or you'll be disappointed. read more

I was craving some good Chinese food and am new to the area. We found Asia restaurant on Yelp - yeah! Hot and sour soup was SO good! REALLY GOOD. Boneless ribs and pork egg roll prepared perfectly. Crispy and tender - cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the Shrimp shu mai. I was in the mood for shrimp toast - this was the next best thing! My husband had chicken and broccoli with this magic orange sauce that we dipped everything in! Lastly the Cali tuna roll. I can remember what it is called on the menu but it was super fresh and hit the spot. I loved the crunch topping. Service was very good! Easy parking! Cute place. We will be back! read more

We really enjoyed our first take out meals from Asia in Stone Ridge. We shared the special wonton soup that came loaded with an array of perfectly cooked vegetables, strips of chicken, pork and beef and shrimp in a not too salty chicken broth with of course the requisite wontons. The Pad Thai was equally yummy as was the green curry with chicken. You can get Chinese, Japanese and Indian at Asia, hence the name. I had heard of Asia, it has a cult following, and now I understand why. It is premium, clean, healthy Asian cuisine, for takeout or dine in. Service is with a smile and price is fair. Upon walking in we were greeted by such a pleasant staff. Meals were served in a timely manner and the most pleasing part of the service for me was how quickly they removed all dirty plates, dishes and utensils. This I was most pleased with. Upscale chinese and sushi dine in and takeout. I came for the General Tso lunch special dine in. Hot and sour soup was bland, but warming. Chicken dish came with vegetarian fried rice. There were 8 balls of chicken on the plate, accompanied by some spicy, sweet sauce, and a couple of shards of broccoli. The chicken was well cooked, and seemed to be made of chicken breast, not chicken thighs I am accustomed to. All told, the meal was 16 including tax and tip. The Asia website states that the cost of the meal is 11, but the menu at the restaurant showed 13. I would rate the meal a 6/10 compared to other takeout meals nearby. Best Asian food in the area without going to New Paltz. I picked up takeout so I can't comment on the restaurant experience, but the bar was really lively for this type of restaurant. Food was fresh and the menu had a large variety of Asian dishes. The Wonton soup was really good and we had a shrimp dish as well. Food was ready in 20 mins even though the restaurant was crowded. It's weird that there are two 'filtered' 5 star reviews and the two reviews that were not filtered were low (2 star) reviews; but they were also from people with very few reviews under their belts. Oh well, I guess we're just supposed to smile and nod and accept the Yelp "secret formula" regarding review filtering... Anyway I ate here once but I will be back to try again. Some things to know; this is sort of like a sister restaurant to Kingston Wok (which we found out only because we recognized some of the people here and asked about it). As at Kingston Wok, there are different kinds of food here; traditional inexpensive take-out type Chinese food (fried rice, chow fun, etc), asian fusion specials (more expensive but worth it), and sushi. My wife and I had only sushi at our first time at Asia, and it was great. We did not expect such fresh fish or unique house rolls here in (basically the middle of nowhere) Stone Ridge. I got sashimi as well which was surprisingly good considering the distance from NYC. Will be back again to try different things and report back here. read more

Perfection. This place was perfect. A few weeks ago my wife and I popped in to celebrate my passing of a significant exam. We are regulars of Momiji Sushi down the block and had always wanted to try Asia. I'm not big on Asian fusion restaurants, but.... That celebratory afternoon left a good impression. The staff was affable, and there were some regulars at the bar which is always a good sign. Last night we went for dinner. We were seated right away. We ordered sake and water which arrived quickly. My wife order Tom Yam soup. The waitress said it was big enough for two. She came with the soup and two smaller bowls and served us. That was a nice touch. (Restaurants nowadays drop off the food and let you serve yourself.) I ordered wasabi tobiko sushi as an appetizer. It was not on the menu. It was my test to ascertain if the sushi chef was competent. He was; it melted my brain. For dinner, my wife ordered Thai Basil Garlic Ginger Sauce Delight; I had the Seafood Deluxe. Both meals were cooked perfectly. My wife asked for brown rice instead of white. The waitress responded "Of course". I always like hearing that from a server. She said it allot last night. My wife and I unanimously decided that Asia Restaurant will be our new regular. Our former haunt (Matsu) closed permanently suddenly. We were distraught.
