I was really hoping that this place would fall into that average, but still decent Chinese American spot. Unfortunately, our experience left a lot to be desired. The things that were good - the cream cheese wontons were delicious. They got the restaurant a second star. The chicken lo mein was better than expected. Good flavor and variety of ingredients. Even the soup was decently good (hot and sour and egg drop). I appreciated that with the combo, they give you a tempura shrimp, a potsticker, a veggie spring roll, and a cream cheese wonton. Plus soup. The not so great - The sweet and sour sauce was decidedly quite sweet and no sour. And the color is a slightly alarming neon pink. The ham fried rice was indeed just rice with some soy sauce and a few peas and corn thrown in. Spring rolls were very small and potstickers - was hard to tell what was in it. The family that runs this place is friendly and helpful and they were great. Sadly, the building itself would definitely fall into the dive category.

We got delivery, everything was great until we found glass in our fried rice. We had almost finished with the food, we were so lucky to have caught this and neither me my husband or 4 year old ate the glass!

This restaurant is owned by a sweet Chinese family that makes each dish to order. The menu is huge and if you get a combo meal for only $3 more you get all of the following additional items: a choice of sweet and sour or egg drop soup, egg roll, fried shrimp, mandu, and a cream cheese rangoon (which btw is the best one we have ever had!) My wife and I tried the orange chicken and sesame chicken. Both were good, but we decided the sesame chicken is our fav! We can't wait to try more of their menu items. Needless to say, we had tons of leftovers for lunch the next day!

Well, I hate giving negative reviews. And I'm pretty tolerable and eat most anything. But, I must warn others. It is sad as these people look like they are trying so hard. We ordered the Family meal C for three. Positives: soup had good flavor, lots of food for the price, it came fast, the people were nice, booth was comfortable, the appetizer tray was presented nicely and was palatable. Negatives: Sizzling rice soup came with a big bowl of crispy rice that the server poured in. It overwhelmed the soup and soaked almost all the broth up. More like mush than soup. Spicy shrimp was heavily battered- it was a challenge finding any shrimp deeply encased in its tomb. General Tso's chicken was deep-fried orange chicken with barely any bite to it. Probably best dish of the bunch (which is saying very little) Singapore rice noodles- I can feel my feet swelling and ears ringing from the massive amount of salt (MSG?) in it. Little flavor. We had four boxes of leftover food (why did we take the leftovers? Because our guest didn't want to waste them). Super pleasant service, but when I can't eat more than 3-4 bites, for anyone that knows my appetite, that is sad. Maybe try something from hidden menu next time? Oh wait, we won't be back, sadly.

They were all in all delicious. What stood out: The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the potatoes and corn were spot on, and the crab was oh so good. One boil was the house blend (mild heat) and the other was the butter and garlic (no heat). The only bummer was that they were out of a few proteins. The setting is very child friendly and it's very casual. There's multiple tvs on which help distract the kiddos while waiting for the food. The bathrooms could use some attention, but I've seen worse. This place is great where it counts!

Now there are random scratch marks all over the walls, and honestly it looks very bad and low class. I would rather they kept the walls clean and simple with one color. The restaurant now feels cheap and dirty. In fact, the overall cleanliness was disappointing. I ordered a seafood bag and a gumbo soup. The gumbo used to be my favorite, but this time it was terrible. Even before tasting it, the color looked bad--like dirty waste water. After one bite, I could tell all the important flavors were missing. I could not continue eating it. The seafood bag was okay, but not great. Yes, the prices are lower, but it does not feel like a good value. Cheap prices are not everything. I would rather pay a little more for good food and a better dining experience. Unfortunately, I would not come back again.

Beansprout was cooked but still had crunch. I got nice mixture of fat and meat on charsiu pork. When i got tonkotsu ramen a month ago, their noodle was thicker and i got leaner cut of pork. I dont know if they change the noodle for all the ramen or just for certain type. Takoyaki was chruncy and the inside was soft with a little pice of octopus. After providing a printed ticket, she insisted that I pay her personal Venmo instead of paying with cash. So I paid her Venmo for the bill's total and left a cash tip at the table. There are many other payments to this lady the day before, the day of my visit, and the day after for the same exact things (ramen, sushi, lunch). The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. He wanted to make sure we were eating our Naan first while it was hot, and then focus on the rice afterwards. (Advice that changed my life, I was always a rice first sort of guy). The tables didn't feel too tight, it definitely gets loud with the dinner rush but nothing more than you would expect. Such an awesome place with great flavor! I loved reviewing restaurants in Logan, but there's only so much up there... now that we've moved to Utah County I'm excited to get back into the food scene! All that to say excuse my lack of pictures, I'm a little rusty haha. But trust me when I say this was awesome food!!

I enjoyed the wagyu, ramen noodles, and all the veggies! Eating it with the tonkatsu broth was great, but I also loved dipping it in the sesame and teriyaki sauce. The big downside to Mr. Shabu is that it's so expensive. I would come back all the time if it weren't for the price. You have to do "all-you-can-eat" for the hot pots, and it costs over $30 per person. Because of that, I probably won't return anytime soon and it makes me very sad.
