I was defeated by a messy burger, but the napkins were able to revive and save me from a horrible and aweful fate doomed to being covered in ketchup. I thank each and every one of those thousand napkins, and i thank my psychic future-seeing server who provided me with those wondrous napkins. Food was decent. Or maybe they are simply slacking because the local Mormon population won't say anything bad about the service and continue tipping for terrible service. Frankly how this place survives is beyond me. They have your usual proteins of beef, pork, chicken, fish, fishballs, meatballs, vegetables and noodles. Drinks were included in the price for dinner. They had a variety of ice cream bars for desserts. The family running this place seemed to be really nice people. They were happy to hear my broken mandarin. Anytime I needed something, they would provide it to me. There is a potential of cross contamination of the foods here. But, since this is Chinese hotpot, you will be fine if you cook everything to well done. Four Season was a good find for me in Provo. I wasn't expecting to find a hot pot restaurant in this city. The upcharge for a side and a drink being $6 which is highway robbery. $3 for a small drink which they have very limited options for, and $3 for a small side. Not good. What you're getting it's pretty pricey, and it feels like a rip off. For example, the wraps have about half the tortilla wrapped and rolled up inside of itself, not a lot of amount of ingredients for what you're paying for. (See pictures). The wrap by itself is $13.50. The communal sauce bottles were almost empty, the Dr Pepper was absolutely tasteless I drank 2 cups just to get my three dollars worth though lol, but it wasn't worth drinking. We had two pesky flies really bugging us the whole time. Outdoor seating, not shaded but nice. Really cute natural area by the seating out back! The staff were mediocre, no welcome, forgot our drinks we had to ask for them, no explanation of how things work. Lack of cheer. I went in after the typical lunch rush time around 2:00pm. Overall good ambience. The food could use some improvement for sure, though there are some alright qualities altogether I wasn't too impressed. For my order I got the Regular combo which includes 2 entrees + a side with the Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and Lo mein. Pretty common staples in take-out Chinese food. The Orange chicken tasted good and had some nice crispiness to it however I guess the heat lamps they keep it under aren't super strong or perhaps I just happened to arrive on the tail end of a previously made batch because a few of my pieces were lukewarm while some were barely hot. Liked the pineapples though. The Mongolian beef had an okay flavor but it was drowned in far too much extra oil and sauce. The thick cut vegetable in both meats were very pleasant tase wise but could be sliced a bit thinner to cook more thoroughly. I'd say tone down the oil and sauce to help crisp the beef/veggies better + slice the veggies a little finer and it'll have good potential. I was certainly not a big fan of the lo mein. The noodles had an okay-ish texture, chewy but also slightly soggy (again maybe I just got the last of the older batch). It also had the same problem as the orange chicken being pretty low temp by the time I got it. The main problem it had was it was far too salty. Every bite wasn't overly greasy but the salt flavor was way too strong. I barely got through about half of it before I called it quits. Normally I'd be a little more upset about the food quality but it was only $10 for a pretty full container of food so while it wasn't best food at least I got a good amount of it which for some people is part of the Chinese take out appeal. Not the best but cheap. I think I'll give it one more try and get a full plate of different entrees and try the fried rice but the dishes I got could use improvement. The service was nice, polite cashier/server who brought out my order with fresh Mongolian beef even though there was probably just enough left in the pan to fill my entree spot. Explained the menu items alright but could probably use just a little practice. She also offered me my drink options (fountain or bottled) and explained the sauces. At the end of the day Dragon Express hits the common bases of Chinese takeout but doesn't stand out for me in my experie
