I was sooooo disappointed today. I've been coming here for the past 5 years.. and the food was always pretty great along with great customer service. Today that was not the case. The lady was very rude and seemed bothered to take our order. I read they have new ownership which my experience makes sense now. On top of that once I got my kun pao chicken and veggies they smelled weird but I thought maybe it was just me. However, once I took that first bite.. the chicken was disgusting everything tasted so over cooked and the flavor was fishy almost like they reuse what ever cooking oil they use. Came in on my lunch break for a quick and fast chinese food plate. I got the 2 item combo for about $11-12, don't remember the exact price. I got half fried rice, half noodles, with orange chicken and beef with broccoli. They load up your plate, so for the price I think its very worth it! So many choices! I came to this spot with my mom in between appliance shopping trips to try something new since the Chinese spot by us is under new ownership and no longer good. I've tried so many places and so far this place is the closest I've found to our favorite. I tried the teriyaki chicken and bbq pork with both the chow mein and fried rice. The meat was so tender and juicy and neither had any weird flavors that other spots try to sneak in sometimes. And for the rice, I normally don't like it but the rice here was flavorful and fresh. I can't wait to try their soups next! The staff was nice and offered quick service which was nice. They had both bottled and fountain drinks with lots of options for both which was also nice. They called me and said I could only have 1 soy & 1 hot sauce per order unless I was willing to pay and extra fee. Staff here is awesome, give great portions! Personally love the Chow fun, egg drop soup and egg foo yung. Some of the foods do sit out a bit too long at times but the owner is always willing to make fresh. See it on the menu but it's not available? The bbq pork was tasty as well as the beef broccoli. The chow main was average and and fried rice was slightly below par when compared to similar fast food places. They are good at having people try sample before ordering. There tv mounted on the wall was a nice touch and the decorations are fair. I really don't understand all the bad reviews. I've been a customer here for at least 10 years, and I'll tell you, if you live in Baldwin park, or are visiting Baldwin park, this is the best Chinese place in this town. Sometimes the staff might come off as rude, but being here so long I realize now it's either a language barrier or because it's a family restaurant and their kids are helping out. They've always been nice to me, and always hook it up with extra stuff because I go here at least once a week. The portions are amazing, prices aren't too bad (panda is like 4 dollars more.) only thing I would start clear from is ordering a family tray. In the 3 years that I've been consuming boba drinks from countless places all over Southern California, nothing beats Chinese 4 You's boba smoothies. Every smoothie I've had from Chinese 4 You has been the best, you just taste more flavor compared to other fruit/ desert smoothies around. My favorite flavor is taro, and I've tried too many taro smoothies/drinks to count but nothing and I mean NOTHING compares to the taro smoothies at Chinese 4 You, they really are just the superior smoothie makers out here.
