I hate to leave such a low review, but this spot just left a LOT to be desired. My husband ordered the green curry with tofu for us and it is for sure the worst dish we have ever had from a Thai restaurant. There was absolutely no flavor whatsoever and the tofu looked and tasted like it was just cut straight from the package and thrown into the curry. Super disappointing! The reason for the extra star is because our papaya salad was ok and my pad soon sen was fine. But for $16.99 for each dish, it was not worth it for the flavor and the serving size. We always end up with leftovers with our eating habits, but we barely had enough for one serving each. We will never return! We will stick to our other local favorite Thai spot. read more

BUT if you order for delivery through Grubhub and if you want a specific noodle that clearly stated that it ONLY came with noodles eggs broccoli and sauce then that is how it should come. It DOES not say that it already comes with meat. It came with meat and when I called the store and let them know they were adamant about the app stating that you can choose no meat. Well it doesn't and the lady fought with me over it and I just hung up. It is not worth the argument but it is a concern if you have an allergy. Make sure to write it in the notes and in hopes your order will be correct. Just because other customers expect it to come with it doesn't mean others do too!! I ordered the following: chicken pad Thai special: it comes with rice, salad, and soup. The dish was okay. However when I reheated the pad Thai for dinner, it was more flavorful. I guess the flavors need to settle a bit. Wonton soup: the broth had a hint of spiciness. It comes with cabbage, wonton, and chicken. Again, just okay. Broccoli with oyster sauce: the sauce was thinner than expected but I don't know if it was because of the steamed broccoli. Let me start by saying the name Sweety Hut Thai and its location in a mildly sketch plaza does this place no favors. It's the kind of spot you judge immediately and incorrectly. And that's on you. And on me. Because I was wrong. Deeply wrong. I am extremely picky about pad thai. Like, emotionally invested picky. Since then, only pad thai in Thai Town has met my standards. Until now. Sweety Hut Thai's pad thai is the real deal. The sauce is stickier than most places (a very good thing), not cloyingly sweet, and actually tastes like it was made by someone who understands balance instead of fear. Every bite felt intentional. Respectful. Authentic. Healing, even. Our server recommended the curry puff as a bestseller. It's basically a Thai empanada with flavors bursting out like they've been waiting their whole life for this moment. It was so good that my 10-month-old baby ate an entire one himself. No notes. No crumbs left behind. We also ordered mango sticky rice despite mango not being in season, fully prepared for disappointment and somehow, it was still delightful. Against logic. Against odds. Against seasonal produce calendars. Moral of the story? Never trust a restaurant's name, its strip-mall address, or its proximity to a liquor store. The gentleman who takes phone orders is very friendly and does not make mistakes with special orders such as removing onions or adding extra ingredients. The shrimp pad Thai was lacking shrimp and the shrimp was small and not de-vained. The coconut soup is very flavorful, the yellow curry has a great spice to it. The pad see ew is also pretty good. The food was ok. It didn't taste bad but it didn't taste authentic. The pad Thai lacked the signature sweet and sour taste. I'm pretty sure they don't use tamarind in it. We added chicken and aside from the part where there wasn't very much, the chicken tasted very bland. It was as if they boiled it and added the chicken after. The beef satay was tough. Flavor was not bad. A bit on the sweet side especially with their sauces. Papaya salad tasted like they used a pre made sauce and just tossed young papaya in there. I say this because the top tastes like plain papaya and as you eat it the bottom of the plate had more flavor because it's been sitting in the juices. I ordered through DoorDash and their packaging was nice. Especially with the salad. They wrapped it in an extra plastic bag knowing it would leak. Whenever I drive by there's a line to get in but I believe their food is for a different type of clientele.
