I had something new, which is rare to see: Hong Su chicken. Breaded chicken with, maybe, chop suey vegetables? Celery, water chestnut, bamboo, sliced carrots, brown sauce. It was good. Not great but better than I expected based on the kind of plain surroundings. It's counter service for ordering and for looking at the menu on the wall. The cashier will bring your food and drink when it's ready. The service was acceptable. Not warm and friendly but at least it was courteous and efficient. The atmosphere is fast food restaurant meets school cafeteria. It seemed clean and fairly well maintained. It certainly didn't feel trendy or even modern. But really, of foid, service, value and ambiance, really I care least about ambiance. I'd go to lunch with friends from work but I wouldn't bring a dinner date. Been coming to this place since I was little. I can remember it used to have more Asian Art Decor, but I understand if they felt the need to take it down. I just told the Owner's daughter how we used to play with them when they were younger and we still go there to eat all these years later. Mushy rice. Way too many vegetables in dishes that weren't intended. No way. Will not return. Wings were fine.

To say that eating here was a disappointment would be an understatement. Between two combo plates and a bowl of soup it was clear that any good recommendations we'd received were wrong. The inconsistency of temperature throughout the meals raised some concern. We're sure the only cooking involved in the process was pressing start on a microwave, which could've been overlooked had there been any flavor or spice in the dishes. There is no place like this. It is, hands down, the best Chinese Food. I grew up in SSC but live in Omaha now and there is not one place in Omaha that comes close to how good this food is. It's flavorful, fresh, not greasy, and full of flavor. My family and I will plan trips to the area and will find ways to stop for a meal or bring it back to Omaha with us. I highly recommend Hong Sui Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and their Crab Rangoon. But really, you can't go wrong with any dish. read more

Joe the Chinese Chef have been serving up some favorite classic Chinese-American food for some time. This family ran restaurant has been around since I was a child. My friends, I'm old, but to see this place still up and running after 25+ years is amazing! I love the food here! I've been around the country and still cannot find a place that taste the same. My favorites the General Tso Chicken & Chicken Wings. The General's Chicken is a staple Chinese American favorite next to the Orange Chicken, but the crispy, spicy, and savory taste of the General Tso here is unmatched! The chicken wing here is perfect. Some places over-bread their chicken and becomes a clump of breading. Not here, no breading at all! Just deep fried to a crisp and served. I can't make out the sauce but it does add an extra flare and taste. Service is quick to a beat since they do pickups. Not much decors, but like a fast food restaurant get your food and chow down my friends! - Enjoy! read more

The food was average, but the customer service was bad. They messed up our order and accidentally gave us extra food that we were charged for. When we tried to fix it, they were unwilling to fix our order. We had to pay twice as much as we should've and the cashier made a big scene. It was uncomfortable and we just paid and left to get out of the situation. Probably would've gone back if we didn't have this experience. read more

If I could give it less than one star I would. The General Chicken was Frozen breaded chicken nuggets deep fried and placed in a puddle of absolutely flavorless sauce. Literally. No. Flavor. Just brown stuff that didn't taste like anything. The sign says "authentic Chinese food" not "authentic KFC popcorn chicken". At least the KFC would've had some taste! Got food poisoning, no apology and evading all questions. At least take ownership apologize. The seasme chicken was hard as a rock i couldnt even stab them with a fork! The sauce looked and tasted like old gravy. Ended up at Urgent Care called chinese chef and the "manager" Cindy was avoiding questions and responsiblility. All i want was an apology!
