Crispy, crunchy, inexpensive and delicious Chinese food that's perfect for a hungover Sunday afternoon. The orange chicken and General Tsao's chicken are delicious and so perfectly crispy it's unreal. Bonus points because most meals come with a side of rice and TWO crab rangoons. Also tried the potstickers - the filling was awesome but I'm used to a dumpling that's a little more soft than crispy. Add a pot of green tea to your order and you'll be well on your way to recovery. In previous years golden bowl has impressed me with their Chinese cuisine. But as of late I have been thoroughly disappointed. Their lo mein are now made with weak spaghetti noodles and light sauce. Since I was disappointed with the lo mein my previous time, I tried the vegetable chow mein. I received WONTON STRIPS over a bed of vegetables. Wonton strips are not chow mein noodles. Other menu options are good. Just avoid the noodles section. read more

I started coming here in 2011 and moved to another state in 2016. I still stop on my trips to town for this place - the owner is so friendly! It is the best Chinese! I always get the spicy orange chicken. It is perfect. Juicy crunchy chicken with delicious sauce. The veggies are always fresh. The mocha cakes are delicious too. This food was mediocre. My general chicken was crazy red and salty. The crab Rangoon were ok but not all that like people on here are saying. My wife ordered cashew chicken and we can only come up with two possible conclusions. 1) they have no idea what cashew chicken is or 2) they ran out of stuff to make it, like CASHEWS. She got a plate of sesame chicken over salted with slightly cooked cut up mushrooms. Where I am from, Springfield Mo. The food is mediocre at best. I don't know who paid these people to write a 5 star review, but rest assured they have to know someone that works there. I ordered the "snow pea chicken". I have no idea what that sauce was, but it was hideous. Mushy eggrolls, flavorless. The hot and sour soup was literally like eating thick mucous off a spoon. Please, save your money and a trip. Incredibly bland, the rice was hard, and I'm sure at least a couple days old. This is by far the worst and most hap hazard Chinese food I've had. Geez. read more
