We worked through questions as best we could and ordered the fried tofu appetizer plus two vegetable entrees: drunken noodles and Pad Khing. Rice on the vegetable plate was $3 extra -- odd when you expect rice with a veggie meal. The tofu arrived with a generic sweet-and-sour sauce. No peanut flavor at all. My wife had to go to the counter to ask about the advertised peanut sauce. The response was a handful of crushed peanuts to sprinkle on the sweet-and-sour. That is not a "secret sweet peanut sauce." That is a workaround after the fact. The entrees were edible, nothing more. The drunken noodles had a few vegetables tossed in like an afterthought. The Pad Khing was fine once you paid extra for rice. Nobody checked on the table the whole meal. The man stayed in a back room with a young child. The woman who was serving us ate her own dinner behind the counter. When we finished, no check came. I walked up while she was scraping her plate into the trash, paid with Apple Pay, left a modest tip we didn't feel was earned, and walked out. Food: okay. Service: absent. The peanut-sauce bait-and-switch was the real disappointment. We left wondering how a place this empty, with this kind of attention, sits at 4+ stars.
