Ordered Gen Chows Chicken as I was told it was their best dish. Also order fried rice with pork and shrimp, (upgrade) and 2 egg rolls. Egg rolls were great as was the fried rice. But I was there early, maybe the 1st customer of the day. I believe that the chicken I recieved had been fried and left over from the previous day and then refried. Is like chicken jerky. No i don't recommend them because their online ordering didn't tell me they were closed for a week and allowed me to order $95 worth of food for my family and I get there to pick it up and they are closed for a week. $100 bucks down the drain plus I had to order again from somewhere else. read more

This was some of the nattiest shrimp fried rice and egg rolls I think I have ever eaten. The veggies in the fried rice were way under cooked and still hard. It was cooked in burnt grease and that is what it tasted like. The people had their 8 year old son as the cashier I swear he was the cook too. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Excellent service and quality food. I don't much care for the recipes though. The General Tso's chicken is on the sweet side; chicken fried very crisp, but there's a lot more breading than chicken. Vegetables are fresh and nicely incorporated. Fried rice looks and tastes like steamed rice with some coloring (soy sauce). It's not bad, just bland. The egg rolls are a disappointment. Taste like the ones from Costco. Where's the cabbage in these things? Finally, the hot & sour soup is ok. Nice rich broth with fresh mushrooms, but there's nary a strand of egg. Not sure where to begin...I ordered steamed white rice and received friend rice in some sauces that had spilled though the entire bag, the chow mien had a few noodles and the rest was just cabbage. The wanton soup smells off for sure and I am terrified to even try the eggrolls...go to Asian Wok on Fairmont...i didn't mean to order from here but when I realized my mistake I thought "what is the worst that can happen"...I learned today! Just spoke with the restaurant...extremely unhelpful and blamed the driver. They said it was their fault for tilting the bag. I asked why my rice and pretty much straight cabbage was swimming in a sauce that also spilled in almost half of the bag...they said it get less thick as time progresses. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo for my husband, the sweet and sour chicken itself was delicious. Rice was okay. The egg roll was over fried to the point it was burnt and hard. We didn't even attempt to try it. I ordered the sesame chicken combo, and the egg roll on my plate was the same. Burnt. The sesame chicken was swimming in the sauce and tough little morsels. On the side I ordered the crab ragoons, the first couple were pretty decent, but the rest was super oily and just tasted like grease. I had to spit out the last one. The soda from the 20 oz bottle was flat. Cold, but flat and tasted old. The only thing I really liked besides the sweet and sour chicken was the Golden Bowl brand of packaged fortune cookies. This place is pretty close to me so I'm always stopping here for a bite. Prices are very affordable and it's family owned, so I like to give them my business vs the other big Chinese food chains. I was fishing and drove past this place only to turn around as a light went off in my head and said turn around for some hood chicken fried rice. The breading was too thick and the oil it was cooked in smelled funky. Pork fried rice was just okay as it didn't seem like it was truly fried. Mission for hood chicken wings: FAILED! The food here is ok. Lo main is mushy. But gen chicken is good. It all just taste frozen or something. Good but nothing special. Also if u dine in they charge for refills even on tea. The man and white girl with glasses are both really nice. The lady that was pregnant who I believe owns it is very very rude.
